Cutting back due to my age and down sizing to a truck my wife is more comfortable driving. I am selling my pickup. This truck rides like you are sitting on your living room couch. Built March 29th 2001. I am the third owner. Mileage is correct, this truck sets way more than is driven. Four Dunlop Rover AT 265-75-16 on stock forged aluminum rims. Tires installed at 93,002 miles on June 9th 2010. Fuel filters changed at 95,374 miles on Feb. 15th 2011. Oil filter changed at 95,374 miles on Feb. 15th 2011. Two new 60 month Interstate batteries installed Jan. 25th 2012. Have paper work from original owner as well as second owner. Truck has only two issues that I know of 1- A small, approximately 4 inch crack on top of plastic dash, see photo. 2- When first started from sitting over night, throttle positioner holds speed to 40-45 mph for about 1.5 to 2.0 miles, at which time it releases and truck will then run to full throttle as needed. Please ask any and ALL questions Thank you for looking!!!

Stormtrooper Dodge Charger Episode IV: A New Soap
Fri, Dec 18 2015We spent a day with a Dodge Charger that looks like a Stormtrooper helmet and made a few videos. In this one, the Charger meets the car wash. May the force be with the dryer. Read about the car and watch the rest of the videos here.
2013 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee
Tue, 12 Mar 2013I can pinpoint the exact moment when I fell in love with this car. It was starting down a nearly straight entrance ramp at 15 miles per hour when I buried the throttle. In a moment, I was thrown back into my seat as the big SRT8's engine came to life with commensurate sound, fury and force, bringing me up to 75 mph in what felt like two blinks of an eye. This thing feels so much quicker than its 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque would lead you to believe. And mashing the right pedal never, ever gets old.
But beyond sheer speed, I found a whole lot to like about the Charger SRT8 during my week with the Pitch Black test car here in Detroit. And while the whole Super Bee kit isn't really my style, it's really easy to overlook those badges for a package that offers so much for so little.

2023 Grand National Roadster Show Mega Photo Gallery | Hot rod heaven
Wed, Feb 8 2023POMONA, Calif. — From an outsider's perspective, it would be easy to assume that the Grand National Roadster Show has always been a Southern California institution. After all, it celebrates the diverse postwar car culture of the region — hot rods, lead sleds, lowriders, and more. However, the show had its roots in NorCal in 1950 when Al Slonaker and his hot rod club showed their custom cars at the Oakland Expo. The GNRS moved to Pomona, California, in 2004. By then it had grown exponentially and seen about a dozen more car customization trends come and go. However, the show and its centerpiece award, the America's Most Beautiful Roadster prize, celebrate what is perhaps the first of those trends: the American hot rod in its purest form. Today, in its 73rd year, the GNRS is the oldest indoor car show in America. Annually it welcomes 500-800 cars, gathered into special themes like Tri-Five Chevys or Volkswagen Bugs. At this year's show, which was last weekend, a special hall was dedicated to pickup trucks built between 1948-98, including mini-trucks, groovy camper bed conversions, and resto-mods. However, of all the vehicles presented, only nine are eligible for the America's Most Beautiful Roadster award. Winners get their names engraved on a 9-foot-tall perpetual trophy that was, according to The Ultimate Hot Rod Dictionary, the largest in the world when it debuted in 1950. Slonaker chose the word "roadster" initially because "hot rod" bore slightly negative outlaw connotations in 1950. Only American cars built before 1937 of certain body styles — roadsters, roadster pickups, phaetons, touring cars — are eligible, and they cannot have roll-down side windows. Cars in the running for the cup cannot have been shown anywhere else before their debut at the GNRS. Contestants for this accolade essentially build their cars to the a platonic ideal of a hot rod. This year the honors went to Jack Chisenhall of San Antonio, Texas, for his "Champ Deuce," a 1932 Ford Roadster. It's exactly what you picture when you think of a hot rod, but distilled to its absolute essence. Other standouts included "Green Eyes," a two-tone green 1959 Chevy El Camino with a heavily metal-flaked bed, "Blue Monday," a 1964 Buick Riviera lowrider, and a personal favorite, "Purple Reign," a purple and black 1951 Mercury. Cars may have started out as tools, but there aren't shows like this filled with custom refrigerators.
