I am selling my 1998.5 Dodge diesel with 249,000 miles on it.      I have only owned it since September, and did not know if I needed a pickup, but now I do know that I need one, so I am going to upgrade to a newer Dodge diesel, that is why I am selling it.

I bought it from a seller on craigslist, who owned it for a couple of years, and he did not have much maintenance history on it, except an aftermarket lift pump, so I took it into my local Dodge dealer and had them go through it and they spent about $1000 on a new starter,  new brakes all the way around,  a new tie rod, new driveshaft seal, oil changes every 5k, tranny fluid change.     And, two new rear tires.     So I have put 10k miles on it since September and it has performed flawlessly.     Tons of power, I set it on 6 on a Smarty programmer and it gets 19mpg at mixed hwy, city, and 55-75 mph on the roads with an average of 1000 pounds of cargo in it.    It has 249,000 miles on it, clear title in my name.

No smoke, noises, or other defects or problems.    I take it to my local Dodge dealer as I use this for running around the Midwest on work and cannot afford to have it go out of service.    I have all records since I have owned it.

The interior is in great shape except for the tear in the drivers seat.     Bed has the usual dents and dings.    A few dents and dings on the truck.     Very good condition for its age.    No rust or rot except a little on the door bottoms.

I really like this truck and hate to sell it except I really need 4 doors and the wife likes something a little newer.      I would not hesitate to driver this anywhere across the US or wherever.

I take ebaying seriously and expect you to do the same.   I want this truck to be what you need, so if you have a concern or question Ill answer it honestly.    Truck is for sale locally so I may need to close auction early if it sells.    I take paypal and cash or cashiers checks from US Bank, Chase, Wells Fargo.

Email questions through ebay, thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

FCA is setting a five-year strategy: Here's how the last one played out

Thu, May 31 2018

We're slightly more than four years removed from Sergio Marchionne last five-year plan for FCA, a tell-all where the Italian-American automaker divulged its plans for the 2014 through 2018 model years. It was a grand affair, where Sergio told FCA investors that all was right in Auburn Hills, Alfa Romeo and Maserati were making comebacks, and the fifth-gen Dodge Viper received a mid-cycle refresh. You can read every last one of those past predictions right here. We're on our way to Europe to see Sergio's sequel, coming out Friday straight from FCA's Italian headquarters. (Bloomberg reports a plan to expand Jeep and Ram globally, combine Alfa Romeo and Maserati into a single division for an eventual spinoff, and downsizing Fiat and Chrysler. Also, EVs.) But before we arrive in Italy and find out exactly what Marchionne has planned for 2019 through 2023 as his last act as CEO, let's take a minute to tally up the results of his last term based on the same scoresheet we used in 2014. Now, we're only five months into 2018, so much of this — including vehicles like the Ram HD and Jeep Grand Wagoneer — could still debut this year. For those, we'll mark things TBD. We're not going to draw any conclusions or make any objectionable remarks. We're simply going to let the stats speak for themselves.

Chrysler Group moves around execs in wake of recent departure

Tue, 16 Apr 2013

Chrysler is busy shuffling executives around in the wake of Ram head Fred Diaz's departure. The automaker has named Reid Bigland (pictured, right) as Diaz's successor in the role of president and CEO of Ram, though Bigland will continue his duties as the head of US sales and the president and CEO of Chrysler Canada. Bigland first came to Chrysler in 2006 from Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation, so the guy knows a thing or two about trucks.
Meanwhile, Timothy Kuniskis will take over as president and CEO of Dodge. Previously, he served as the head of Fiat in North America and has been with Chrysler in one capacity or another since 1992. His old title now falls to Jason Stoicevich, who will also continue to work as the director of the automaker's California Business Center. Finally, Bruno Cattori will take over as the president and CEO of Chrysler Mexico.
Diaz left his position to take over as a divisional vice president of sales and marketing with Nissan. You can read the full press release on the Chrysler personnel changes below for more information.

Ram, Jeep redesigns on hold, Alfa Romeo models may come sooner

Wed, Jun 3 2015

Last summer, FCA outlined an ambitious five-year plan that sketched out the company's product intentions for each of its brands through the end of 2018. However, even the best strategies sometimes need tweaking. According to Reuters after speaking with unnamed people at auto suppliers, FCA is now possibly delaying at least a dozen projects in North America for a variety of reasons. From vehicle to vehicle, these postponements allegedly last anywhere from just a few months to over a year. The sources from the suppliers claim that in some cases these tweaks are for engineering and design changes. The next-gen Ram 1500 reportedly has among the shorter delays and is being pushed from mid-2017 to November 2017, according to Reuters. Also, the much-discussed future Jeep Wrangler is allegedly moving a little later to July 2017. Among the vehicles purportedly seeing longer delays, the next-gen Grand Cherokee could get pushed back about a year to 2018. That then forces the launch of the three-row, luxury Grand Wagoneer to be even further away. Jeep's upcoming C-segment CUV and the all-new Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, and Challenger might also see postponements. The one brand allegedly seeing an accelerated plan is Alfa Romeo. Without going into detail, the sources from these suppliers claim that the Italian automaker is getting even more vehicles for its lineup and could get them even faster than planned. "Those plans need to be flexible and fluid, with the potential to add some vehicles, pull some forward and extend the life cycle of others," FCA said to Reuters about all of these allegations. "We look at these programs on a vehicle-by-vehicle basis." Investment in the auto industry has been a major topic for FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne as of late. He believes consolidation is necessary so that companies aren't burning money on the same projects.
