For sale is my 1993 Dodge W250 4x4 extended cab truck. Engine is a Cummins 12 valve 5.9 Turbo Diesel with an automatic transmission. Truck currently has 268,641 miles.

I bought the truck from Oregon 3 years ago and had shipped, body and frame is not from the rust belt of Wisconsin. Mostly garaged during the past 2 winters.

Truck has ice cold AC, power windows, power locks, cruise control, lock out hubs, 3.5 ratio differentials, engine block heater. Truck runs great and the bullet proof 12 valve 5.9, and should last another 250k miles if maintained.

Summer of 2012 @ 260,000 miles:
- New Tires BF Goodrich AT KO LT265/75R16 $1100.00
- New Billstein shocks front and rear
- New Borgeson steering shaft
- New Headliner
- Replaced all light bulbs.
- Interstate Battery new.
- New Windshield
- Drive shaft U-joints and rebalanced
- Tekonsha Prodigy 3 brake controller and trailer wiring added
- New Radiator
- New Water pump / tensioner / Gatorback belt
- Replace transmission ATF/ Flush cooling system / Gear Oil in Transfer case and differentials.

Recently replaced both rear brake drums and shoes. Front Disc's are in good shape.

The only items I see are an alignment (pulls to the right, but have been driving it and it's not terrible) and the automatic transmission does not "lock" between Neutral/D/2/1. It has been like this since I owned the truck, you can move the shifter between them but it doesn't click into each position. Has not been a problem for me to drive this way. Also cassette player doesn't always work in the radio when first powered up.

The reason I am selling is I bought a new 2014 truck, and have too many trucks and thinning the herd.

Clear Wisconsin title in my name.

Truck is located in Baraboo,WI 53913 and is available by appointment to inspect. Downpayment of $500 is due via paypal with 24 hours of auction ending. I will accept cash upon pickup for the remaining amount. Checks will be held 10 business days to clear before truck is available for pickup or shipping. Full payment due withing 7 days of auction closing. Truck sold as-is and no warranty is implied.

I can load onto any trailer (have outdoor loading ramps for step decks and flatbeds)

Truck is for sale locally. Any questions please ask. Thanks!

This SEMA special drag race is absurdly awesome

Fri, Dec 5 2014

The SEMA Show came and went last month, and it showed us a ton of heavily modded goodies to dream about during the long, cold winter. The Motor Trend Channel on YouTube is keeping the party rolling a little longer, though, with a drag race inspired by the aftermarket event. All of the hosts were supposed to borrow a vehicle from the show for the big race, but only two of them actually cajoled companies into lending their wares. Still, the result includes four very cool and extremely different examples of the breadth of the automotive hobby. First up, there's a 1955 Chevrolet with a 535-cubic-inch (8.8-liter) Hemi V8 stuffed under the hood. Appropriately, it's dubbed the Blasphemi, and with skinny tires up front, fat rubber in the rear and a stripped interior, this this is made to go very fast in a straight line. Next, there's a stock Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat boasting 707 horsepower. Plus, host Jessi Lang has her dog riding shotgun for the race. A Chevy Sonic RS with some body mods, downpipe and intake is also competing. Finally, the most bizarre of the quartet is a custom 1958 Jeep Forward Control with a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 and treads to replace the wheels. Obviously, the Blasphemi and Hellcat are the only two that really have a chance of winning, but check out the video to see which one crosses the finish line first. 2016 Dodge Viper ACR First Drive [w/video]

Fri, Jul 17 2015

The Dodge Viper is not a comfortable car. Livable, yes. The interior is covered in fine materials. But you still climb over a hot door sill to enter the tiny cabin. And the frequency range of the engine's noises seem specifically designed to cause headaches. What happens, then, if you remove all pretense of civility from a Viper and add equipment solely aimed at improving lap times? You would have the 2016 Dodge Viper ACR. In terms of achieving its purpose, this car is a absolute success. In many ways it's also the most honest Viper of the current generation. Prices start at $121,990 (including $2,100 gas-guzzler tax and $1,995 destination), or $32,900 more than the least expensive Viper. In ACR trim, the Viper loses the under-carpet padding, 9 of 12 speakers plus amplifier, carpet and trim from the cargo area, and sound deadening in front of the rear wheel wells. The parts of the interior still covered add healthy amounts of Alcantara or optional carbon fiber. That weight loss is compensated by the addition of go-fast bits like the giant rear wing (or the larger "x-wing" on the Extreme Aero Package), 10-way adjustable Bilstein Motorsports shocks, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, a rear diffuser, and a front splitter. Total claimed curb weight is 3,392 pounds in Aero trim (standard ACR trim is 18 pounds lighter), which is within a few stone of the rest of the Viper lineup. The diffuser strakes and leading edge of the splitter are removable, made to be replaced after rubbing on track tarmac and make street driving slightly more practical. Not that you'd want to drive the ACR on the street, with the lack of noise insulation and spring rates twice as stiff as the Viper TA, but it is street-legal. Dodge claims the DOT-approved Kumho Ecsta V720 tires on the ACR allow faster lap times than some race compound tires. Our test was limited to on-track shenanigans at Virginia International Raceway. Which is fitting because we wouldn't have anything good to say about driving the car on the street. The ACR is, essentially, a race car sold in the showroom, although with the Viper's 1 of 1 customization program, your custom build can include as many creature comforts as you like. Lined up in pit lane at VIR, the Viper ACRs for our evaluation blur the air with heat shimmer. All of the test cars have air conditioning, but that shuts off at full throttle with a six-second reset.

Dodge Hellcats getting price hike

Fri, Aug 21 2015

Dodge plans twice as many Hellcats on the road for the 2016 model year, they are going to be a bit more expensive when buyers sign on the dotted line. According to CarsDirect and confirmed to Autoblog by Dodge, 2016 Challenger SRT Hellcat costs $65,190, an increase of $4,200 over 2015. That figure includes $995 for destination and $1,700 for the Gas Guzzler charge. The latest Charger SRT Hellcat retails for $68,640, a $3,650 increase. Other SRT trims of the muscle cars also see a price hike. The 2016 Challenger SRT 392 is $51,190, after destination and a $1,000 guzzler charger – a $3,500 increase. The Charger SRT 392 also jumps $3,000, to $51,990. Even at 2015's prices, Dodge was having problems keeping up with demand for the Hellcat, and the higher price isn't likely to change that. And before you think the company is going plum crazy, the 2016 models of all four muscle cars come standard with Laguna leather seats and navigation. According to company spokesperson Dan Reid to Autoblog, both items had a "very high customer take rate," and the previously optional features are valued at $2,490. Dodge previously announced a discount for those who had a sold 2015 Hellcat order canceled in the switch to 2016. Those amount to $5,000 on the Challenger and $4,000 Charger, which seems like a sweet deal for those customers. Related Video:
