Custom 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 on 2040-cars
Apollo Beach, Florida, United States
Looking to sell this perfect condition 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4, 94k miles, with a 5.2 V8 and automatic transmission. Has power windows, locks, etc and everything works.
About three years ago, the truck was completely repainted. There was nothing wrong with the original black paint, just wanted to do matte black. The truck was professionally painted, and was done the correct way. Doors, fenders, hood, bed, etc were taken off, as well as all glass removed. After that was done, had some custom bumpers built for it, Bushwacker fender flares, Recon LED smoked lighting, HID's, as well as a 4" Skyjacker 4-link suspension lift, and 35" Pro Comp Xtreme AT's on 16x10 Pro Comp aluminum wheels. The front bumper has a brand new winch in it that has never been used. There's fog lights with HID's in the front bumper also. The rear bumper has recessed reverse lights in it, as well as hidden exhaust ports. While all this was getting done, LineX (not a cheap knockoff, the actual LineX shop) sprayed the front and rear bumpers, fender flares, bed of the truck, etc. Once all of the exterior of the truck was done, the interior got done with custom black Katzkin leather, removed carpet and did black rubber floor liner, suede headliner, as well as a custom stereo. Overall, the truck is in perfect condition. Since purchasing it in 2002, the truck has only had around 9,000 miles put on it, due to being overseas in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other countries. The truck doesn't HAVE to sell, so no need for low ball offers, just tired of it sitting 99% of the time with a cover over it. There was over $15k of work done to it three years ago, and I know that doesn't increase the value of it, but you won't find one in better shape, not abused, and as good looking as this one! Runs and drives perfectly fine. It needs absolutely nothing!!! Clean title in hand. Contact 813-787-9039 |

2015 Dodge Challenger configurator has all the Hellcat you can dream of
Mon, 08 Sep 2014The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has sucked up a lot of air in the automotive news world this summer, so it's good to know that you can actually go out and, you know, buy the sucker. With 2015 models headed for your local showroom, Dodge has seen fit to also pull the wraps off it's latest Challenger configurator, complete with the supercharged Hemi V8 option that we just can't seem to get enough of.
We're still enamored of the $58,995 starting price for the 707-horsepower SRT, but the online tool finally gives us a chance to see just how optioned up our dream super-muscle coupe can get.
Buyers can choose from three interior treatments and nine paint colors, with two hues (Ivory White and Phantom Black tri-coats) coming for a $500 premium. For $1,795 Laguna Leather SRT bucket seats can be added in place of the (very nice) stock chairs, and a fancier infotaiment system with navigation and HD radio runs $695.
Sunday Drive: Spying an automotive future of performance
Sun, May 13 2018I spy, with my little eye ... the future of the automotive world here in the United States. That pretty much sums up this week's Sunday Drive, in which we pull out the most popular stories on Autoblog of the previous week and try to draw some sort of conclusion as to what binds them all together. This week, it's spy shots, starting with one of the biggest and baddest muscle cars the world has ever seen: the Dodge Challenger Hellcat. The Hellish coupe gets a new hood for 2019 with dual scoops, but that's about the only meaningful change for the new model year. No matter. As long as it's packing 700-plus horsepower under those two hood scoops, all will be right with the world. Moving on, we take keep the performance angle but move it from the street to the dirt with a new version of the Chevy Colorado ZR2 that we think is probably called the Bison. We think it'll keep the high-tech suspension bits of the regular ZR2, but add expedition gear that may include a snorkel and a winch. Which, if true, is pretty dang cool. Keeping the truck theme is the 2019 GMC Sierra. There's nothing particularly noteworthy about the trim level in which the truck was spied, and that's what makes this specific example interesting. Base-model trucks almost never get much attention, but they sell in droves to workers who need an honest-to-goodness truck for work or play and don't care about bells, whistles, or massive chrome badges. And finally we have the 2018 Jeep Wrangler, which is on fire on the sales floor right now. But those are all V6-powered Wranglers flying off the showroom floor. Soon, a turbocharged four-cylinder engine option will become available, and now we know that it will return up to 23 miles per gallon in the city and 25 on the highway. That makes it the most fuel efficient Wrangler that Jeep has ever sold. As always, stay tuned to Autoblog this week for all the automotive news that's fit to publish. 2019 Dodge Challenger Hellcat with twin-scoop hood spied with no camouflage Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison caught testing 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 spied in base trim level 2018 Jeep Wrangler four-cylinder fuel economy revealed Spy Photos Chevrolet Dodge GMC Jeep Truck Coupe SUV Off-Road Vehicles Performance dodge challenger srt hellcat sunday drive
2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat revving is sonic bacon
Fri, 23 May 2014This is the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, and we're sure that by now, you know its stats, including over 600 horsepower from its 6.2-liter, supercharged V8. What, pray tell, does that blown engine sound like, though?
At least judging on the sonic strength of this video, it's very, very dirty. Honestly, it sounds unlike anything that's come out of the Chrysler Group in a long time, if ever. It's loud, almost brutally so, with a bark that few road-going V8s can match.
Of course, you should be the final judge here. Take a look and a listen at the two videos below, one of which comes from our friends at Cars.com that provides a nice look under the hood, and then let us know what you think of the Hellcat's singing voice in Comments.
