Hello, I'm listing this for my next door neighbor.
2004 Dodge Ram 1500 standard cab 2 wheel drive with 142,355 miles on it.
The topper was $ 2500 when new. It's a high end Snugtop topper with flip out windows. Bed is also carpet lined for sliding things in and out easily.
The good - the truck is very clean. Drive good, looks good and has been maintained. About 2 years ago the front end was rebuilt with new ball joints and hubs. Brakes are about 50% on the pads. Has good options and long bed. PW, PL, Cruise, Overhead compass, no cracks in dash as it's always had a cover on it. Never been smoked in. Sony CD Player with remote. Clean title.
The bad - a couple tires are not so good on tread. Needs tires soon. The front bumper is pushed back in the driver side and the air vent got knocked out. Apparently it was a bump into a car at an intersection. Tailgate has a ding above the handle. A couple dings on rear driver side door. Front pass side fender has a ding. Rear bumper has a few dings in the center, and one larger ding on the driver side. Scratch on pass side 1/4 about a foot long. Not through the paint. There is also a pinky sized rub hole in the seat ( typical dodge thing from sliding in and out of the truck ).
Windshield and all glass is nice. Has recent inspection and emission.
All in all its a very nice truck needing tires and maybe a front bumper to look better overall.
My neighbor works 3 hours away and drives back and forth on weekend. So highway miles. He'd prefer cash in person or cashiers check from major bank and meet at the bank somewhere in Frisco or Plano Texas.
$ 500 deposit is due 48 hours after auction close. The remainder is due within 7 days and in person. Wire may be possible if with a major bank and can wait to verify funds. Feel free to email any offers.
Thank you.

Dodge Durango gets the Blacktop treatment
Sat, 09 Aug 2014The Dodge Durango is getting a meaner, more aggressive look as it becomes the latest model from the brand to wear the Blacktop Appearance Package. The upgrades are strictly cosmetic, but they lend the SUV a more assertive demeanor that some buyers like.
Available on the SXT, Limited and R/T (shown above) models, all Blacktop Durangos get black 20-inch wheels, dual exhaust, bod- color fascia and gloss black trim. The grille surround, air dam, mirrors and headlight surrounds all get the inky treatment, as well. The improvements add $1,590 to the cost of the SXT. They come to $1,990 on the Limited but also include HID headlights with LED running lights and a leather interior. Finally, R/T buyers only need to pay $295 for the upgrades. The Blacktop Durango hits showrooms this October.
If you're already in the market for a Durango but want a dash more style with no added performance, the Blacktop might not be a bad way to go. It certainly gives the SUV a bit more edge than it has in stock form. Scroll down to read the full release.
Weekly Recap: Things you might not know about the 2015 Dodge Charger and Challenger Hellcats
Sat, 16 Aug 2014If you're an enthusiast, and you don't know that Dodge spawned another Hellcat this week, you really must have been living in cave. The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is probably the biggest news for enthusiasts since the reveal of, well the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
But, there are some things you might not know or might have missed about the new Charger and Challenger Hellcats. For starters, reports that the Hellcat production would be limited to a low volume are not true.
"We have not capped the Hellcat on either the Challenger or the Charger," Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis said.
2014 Dodge Durango Ron Burgundy ads already have 2.7M views [w/videos]
Mon, 14 Oct 2013The guy who once made the Dodge Stratus a punchline of sorts is now a spokesman for the 2014 Dodge Durango, and the move appears to be paying off handsomely for Dodge. Will Ferrell, acting as 1970s-era TV news personality Ron Burgundy, has teamed up with the automaker for co-branded advertisements between the refreshed 2014 Durango and Ferrell's new movie, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. Like Ferrell's fictional character, the ads are outrageous, flamboyant and a bit random. They're also successful: Automotive News says that more than 2.7 million people have already watched the videos since they debuted on October 5.
Those views are similar to the numbers that AN's top viral video of the year (e.g. Volkswagen's "Get Happy" Super Bowl ad) received, but there will eventually be as many as 70 videos comprising the Burgundy-Durango spots. According to the report, the videos were created primarily as a viral campaign online, although some are airing on television, too. For Dodge's part, the cost of the videos was significantly lower than a usual television campaign thanks to the fact that Ferrell wasn't paid for the spots since they were made in cooperation with promotional efforts for his new movie.
We've already posted a few of the videos in our previous post, but scroll down for several more - and head over to Adweek for a little added background on how these spots came to be.
