I am selling a 2001 Dodge Ram Off Road 4 wheel drive regular cab/short bed pickup truck in above average condition. I ordered this truck brand new from West Herr Dodge in Orchard Park New York. The truck has 109500 original miles. The OEM equipment features a 5.9 liter Magnum gasoline engine and automatic transmission with overdrive. Other OEM equipment includes air conditioning, power windows and locks, cruise control, tilt wheel, a rear sliding window, and towing package. Below is a list of upgrades and things that were replaced in the past two years.

  • Front coil springs
  • All 4 shocks replaced with Pro Comp adjustable shocks
  • All new brakes front and rear including hardware
  • Stainless steel break lines throughout
  • All new front end parts, drag links and sway bars (this alone was over $1,200)
  • All U joints were replaced in the front axle
  • All U joints were replaced in both drive shafts
  • Eaton Truetrac locking differentials in both front and rear axles (installed professionally)
  • Recent exhaust work
  • New tires
  • The body, frame, firewall and undercarriage was professionally treated by Schmidt’s Auto in Depew NY with Rustop. This is an oil based rust-proofing formula that is sprayed at high pressure to get inside all of the nooks, crannies and spot-welds to prevent moisture from sitting and rust from starting. Please visit their website for a professional explanation at schmidtsautobody.com
  • Full tune up including wires and spark plugs
  • I'm sure I'm missing plenty of things to tell you about. I just can't remember all of them. Please watch the video. This is a very nice truck and it gets compliments everywhere it goes!
This truck was completely repainted in 2010 and restored to its original condition by a professional collision technician who works at the Dodge dealership. He would be the same individual that would provide you with “dealership” service. He is a personal friend of mine and has been working in the industry for over 25 years. We spared no expense when we put this truck back together. The paint used was DuPont Chromabase base-coat/clear-coat. Please see a short video of a walk-around of this truck on YouTube listed by user 2006 JCB 1110T Multi Terrain Loader. Search YouTube for "2001 Dodge Ram Off Road For Sale" as I cannot include the link per eBay policy.

I make no claim to the condition of this vehicle whether cosmetically or mechanically and I am selling the vehicle in as-is condition. I offer no warranty on this vehicle. The buyer/winner is responsible for any and all shipping costs associated with this vehicle. Please develop your own opinion about the condition of this vehicle. I urge you to come and see it in person. I’m sure you will be pleased with what you see.

I will assist with shipping this vehicle by getting the vehicle to a transporter within 25 miles of 14224.

Mopar maneuvers into SEMA with a multitude of modified models

Wed, 05 Nov 2014

As the aftermarket and performance arm of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Mopar has a duty to extract everything from the company's models that it can, and there's no better place to show all of its work off than the annual SEMA Show.
Dodge really gets in on the act this year with several customs to show off different parts of the brand's performance heritage. Perhaps the most interesting among them is the track-prepped Viper ACR Concept (pictured above). It wears a custom body kit to produce even more downforce, thanks in no small part to a monstrous wing at the back. To shed weight, most of the interior is stripped out, as well. Next up, the Challenger T/A Concept takes inspiration from '70s Trans-Am racing in a livery of Sublime Green and matte black paint. The center scoop in the hood keeps the 6.4-liter V8 fed with cool air, and the special's 20-by-9.5-inch matte black wheels keep it planted in the corners.
Also getting the once-over from Mopar is the Charger R/T. It wears the division's body kit, and under the hood, a cold-air intake keeps the 5.7-liter V8 breathing. The suspension is retooled to hold the road better with a coil-over kit, upgraded sway bars and strut tower braces for the front and rear. The company is also showing off a snazzy blue Charger with a mean look. The final Dodge getting work from Mopar is the Dart R/T Concept with bright, O-So-Orange paint and a matte black hood with a scoop hooked directly to the air intake. The performance-oriented design is finished off with a coil-over suspension and big brake kit, as well.

Aficionauto drives Vin Diesel's fast and furious 1970 Dodge Charger

Mon, 15 Sep 2014

The Aficionauto host Christopher Rutkowski has a real passion for original and replica cars from movies and television, whether they are from James Bond, Jurassic Park, or incredibly obscure Japanese shows. However, he might have outdone himself this time because he hopped into one of the biggest automotive stars of contemporary cinema. This 1970 Dodge Charger appeared in Fast & Furious and came back in Fast Five, where Paul Walker actually drove it. The menacing, black muscle car will make its return to the franchise in the seventh film, too.
The Fast and Furious Charger is a real beast no matter how you look at it. The interior is nothing more than two seats and a roll cage, and as the video shows, this thing vibrates constantly like a coiled mass of muscle ready to strike. The camera can barely stay in place most of the time. Also, Dom's Dodge is more than happy to do a smoky burnout and leave the driver partially deaf afterward from its wonderful, ear-splitting engine roar.
The Aficionauto also interviews the man who controls the keys to this beast. Bob Hartwig was once an F-15 pilot, but he also loved Hollywood vehicles. Now, he's a partner at Picture Car Warehouse, a company with about 850 cars that supplies vehicles to film studios. This Charger definitely seems to be Hartwig's favorite in the collection, as it should be.
