The Good...

Only 86k miles! This truck has no rusted panels. The only rust it does have is on the front and rear bumpers where the paint has all flaked off.Seats are clean,no rips.New battery. At 84k miles I had both outer u-joints replaced plus new rotors and front pads.I had this professionally done and have receipts. It has a new blue tooth stereo JVC KDX50BT.2 new front tires with about 1500 miles on them. This truck was garage kept but used mainly in the winter. The last 2 winters have been kind,so it has pretty much sat idle for the last couple years.Truck runs very strong, good smooth transmission.Burns no oil, with only 86k miles,it has many good miles left!It does have a hitch on the back, although i have never towed anything with it.Had lots of problems with the stock vacuum actuated 4x4 engagement so I removed all the vacuum junk and installed a Posi-Lock Cable system this past year,so the truck can do 2 wheel Lo if needed.Still a little stiff getting into 4x4 and out, might need a little fine tuning on cable adjustment or just used more to get it broke in but 100% better than the stock vacuum stuff!

The Bad...
It has a few dings and scratches,I used it as a truck. The headliner is drooping and under the visor,it looks like some of the headliner rotted.Mice chewed one of the air conditioning wiring,it blows but not real cold.It was working fine before that.
Other than the u-joints and the vacuum actuated 4x4 shifting,I have never had any problems with this truck. It is idling high right now,not crazy high,i think it is a vacuum line, haven't traced it yet but i can hear it.The brakes i noticed today are grabby when first starting out,i assume this is from just sitting as the problem goes away after driving it for awhile.

Would like a deposit within 24 hours of winning bid. Thanks for looking!

Dodge Dart Registry helps you crowdsource money for your next ride [w/video]

Wed, 23 Jan 2013

To be honest, we're surprised something like this didn't pop up sooner. Chrysler is riffing on gift registries for couples getting married or expecting babies and cross-pollinating it with a social media funding website like Kickstarter to help customers buy its 2013 Dodge Dart. The Dodge Dart Registry allows people to build and customize a new Dart exactly how they want it, then let other people purchase some or all of the components as gifts.
The registry lets you add features like dark headlights, dual exhaust, various wheels and even interior options without choosing a specific trim level. This sounds a lot like the system Scion uses to let its customers configure cars, and this could be a great idea for Dodge. Of course, this system has the added benefit of being a social media affair for you to share with your friends... you know, so they can help pay for some of the parts, too.
The best thing about the registry is that you can configure your dream Dart from the comfort of your home computer, which strikes us as much better than walking around Bed, Bath and Beyond for the better part of an afternoon with an electronic scanner. The one thing that Dodge doesn't offer? "Thank You" cards. Those are on you.

Dodge shows can-do attitude with grand Can'avan sculpture

Fri, 01 Nov 2013

There are lots of ways to celebrate an important birthday, and all of them are well deserved. You can throw a big party, buy yourself something nice, or - if you're the altruistic type - do something for others in need. The latter is how Chrysler has opted to mark the 30th anniversary of its Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country.
Together with hunger-advocacy organization Canstruction, the Chrysler Foundation has built a full-scale replica of the Grand Caravan out of 30,000 food cans in the square at the corner of Yonge and Dundas in Toronto, a ways down the highway from where the real vans are built in Windsor. The sculpture was built over the course of 10 hours by 30 volunteers and was displayed earlier this week.
Now the installation is being taken down, and the cans of food are being donated to the Daily Bread Food Bank, which will assemble them into 2,000 food baskets to be distributed to those in need through its network of 200 food banks across the Canadian metropolis. Check out a neat time-lapse video of the build and the press release below.

2016 Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcats see doubled production

Mon, Jul 27 2015

The launch of the Hellcat supercharged V8 in the Dodge Challenger and Charger for the 2015 model year was a massive success. The one-two punch of muscle cars probably grabbed the brand more headlines than it had seen in ages by offering a world-beating 707 horsepower from the growling engine under the hood. The only real wrench in the works was keeping up with all of the orders. For 2016, Dodge might have fixed that little problem with plans to make more than twice as many of these mean machines Despite production seeing a massive boost, a few customers with orders for 2015 examples will need to wait just a little longer to experience those 707 ponies. The automaker will cancel any unscheduled, sold orders for the current model, but those buyers will receive a discount on the 2016. Similar to last year, dealers will earn their allocation of the muscle cars based on Dodge sales and how long the Hellcats stay on their lots. There are some very tiny changes for any buyers who are holding out for the 2016 Hellcats, too. Mechanically, they are identical to the 2015s with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 and eight-speed automatic. The interiors see some improvements, though. Both the Challenger and Charger now receive standard Laguna Leather upholstery and an improved 8.4-inch Uconnect system with navigation, an HD radio, and five years of SiriusXM Travel Link and Traffic. Orders for both open in the second week of August, and production actually begins in September in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.
