2005 Dodge Ram Power Wagon 2500 4x4 on 2040-cars
Goodlettsville, Tennessee, United States
2005 Dodge Powerwagon. 194,000 miles. Runs and drives great. If you are
not familiar with the Power Wagon here is a little about it. It is a 3/4
ton truck like the ram 2500 but it has a heavier front axle, with full
locking front and rear differentials. When they are not locked the rear
is a limited slip. It also has electronic disconnecting front sway bar
for increased articulation. It comes with a factory warn 12,000 pound
winch hidden nicely behind the front bumper. The power wagon also has skid plates front to rear, and when it is in low range the throttle is
less responsive for a smoother ride in rough terrain. The wheels are
reinforced for strength and to keep them on the rim during off road.
This truck has a 3" long arm lift kit and 35" tires. It has the 5.7 Hemi
and a 5 speed automatic. The truck is not perfect but its a good
looking truck that turns heads. Here is a description of all the imperfections, and look closely at the pictures, I've tried to capture all of the imperfections. On the exterior the tailgate has a dent or 2, and the passenger bed side has a few very small dents, and 2 scratches. The passenger front fender has a scuff. The roof has some scratches on it from carrying a canoe on top. The Windshield is cracked. Interior: this is possibly the biggest flaw in the whole truck, the front seat and back seat do not match, they are close (I had the truck for 6 months before someone else pointed it out) once you know you can definitely tell the difference. Also the dash lights do not work. All other lights work just not those. There are 2 screw holes in the trim piece around the floor shifter from some type of accessory that was mounted. Mechanical: it could use a tune up, on wet mornings it idles rough till it warms up, it is well past due for a tune up. The upper four link bars need new bushings, because of this it makes a little noise in the front end, and the steering seems a little loose

Chrysler Recalling 870,000 SUVs For Brake Defect
Wed, Apr 2 2014Chrysler is recalling nearly 870,000 SUVs because corrosion may make the vehicles' brakes harder to use. Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango SUVs from the 2011 through 2014 model years are involved. Chrysler says crimp joints in the brake boosters can corrode if they're exposed to water. If the water freezes, the boosters won't aid braking as they usually do. Chrysler began investigating after some customers said their brakes felt too firm when pressed down. The company knows of one accident, but no injuries, due to the defect. Dealers will install a shield to protect the boosters for free and replace boosters that aren't working properly. Chrysler has since changed the design to make the boosters more corrosion resistant. Chrysler will notify owners of the recall, which involves 867,795 vehicles. Mopar '13 Dart is a bruiser of a compact
Fri, 08 Feb 2013For the fourth year in a row, Mopar is offering a limited-production car decked with a plenty of add-ons and a unique look. This year's black-and-blue car is the Mopar '13 Dart, which was unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show with the now-signature paint scheme. Like previous Mopar models, only 500 of the '13 Darts will be built. Past models include the Mopar '10 Challenger, Mopar '11 Charger and the Mopar '12 300.
The all-black Dart gets a brightly contrasting, offset blue stripe running the full length of the car, and other styling mods like the aero-tuned body kit, gloss black grille, wheels and mirror caps. Curiously, Mopar chose to stick with the Dart's standard headlights rather than the darker, smoked lights. The interior gets a similar black-and-blue treatment, but this unique cabin features a blue leather driver's seat to go along with the black leather seating for the rest of the passengers.
More than just a styling package, the Mopar '13 Dart also gets some performance and handling goodies to complement the Dart's turbocharged 1.4-liter engine, such as upgraded brakes with slotted rotors, a lowered suspension, retuned electric power steering and a "sport-tuned" exhaust system.
Dodge Challenger spied exercising supercharged Hellcat Hemi V8
Wed, 23 Oct 2013One of the prime complaints against the Dodge Challenger is that, even in SRT8 guise, its 470 horsepower is responsible for hauling over 4,200 pounds of vehicle. For comparison, the 420 hp in the Ford Mustang GT only has to deal with 3,618 lbs. Things only get worse from there, as the higher-performance variants of both the Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro are far more powerful than an SRT8 without adding on much heft.
So what is Chrysler to do? The correct answer is add a whole lot more grunt to its hefty two-door and even the odds. That's where the all-new Hellcat engine comes into play. We reported on this engine in May, and suggested that the Hellcat, a supercharged powerplant based on a 6.4-liter V8, would easily generate 500 to 570 hp and could likely arrive boasting more than 600 ponies.
Chrysler's ace in its sleeve has now been spied testing, with a number of Hellcat-equipped Challengers running the potent new engine both in more urbanized areas and under the sun of Death Valley. The hoods on these testers have been raised to accommodate the engine, and that camouflage over the fascias of these prototypes is there to hide a larger air intake. We also note what appears to be a new split grille under wraps. As for power output, our spies are now suggesting a Viper-equalling 640 hp from the Hellcat-equipped cars.
