UP FOR SALE IS MY POWER RAM W350. I BOUGHT THIS 5 YEARS AGO WITH INTENTIONS OF PUTTING A CUMMINS IN
IT. WELL, DOESN'T LOOK LIKE IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN. SO.... MAYBE SOMEONE ELSE WOULD LIKE TO FINISH WHAT I
NEVER STARTED. IT IS IN GOOD OVERALL CONDITION FOR BEING 28 YEARS OLD. I BELIEVE IT WAS REPAINTED
SOME YEARS BACK WHICH PROBABLY PRESERVED IT SO WELL. IT HAS THE 360 WITH THE QUADRAJET THAT DODGE
USED TILL 1988 I BELIEVE. DANA 60 FRONT AND THE GEAR DRIVEN TRANSFER CASE NP 205. GEAR RATIO IS 4:10. IT
HAS ONE AREA OF SURFACE RUST INSIDE THE CAB ON THE DRIVERS SIDE FLOOR. IT IS NOT RUSTED THROUGH.
THE BENCH SEAT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE IS A BIT SOFT FROM YEARS WITH A BUTT ON IT. UNFORTUNATELY.. A FEW
YEARS AGO WE HAD A HAIL STORM THAT PUT SOME DINGS ON IT. THE WINDSHIELD WAS CRACKED AS WELL. I WILL
TRY TO TAKE SOME CLEAR PICS OF THAT. GOOD THING THESE WERE MADE OUT OF STEEL BACK THEN OR IT
WOULD HAVE TOTALED THE TRUCK. THIS HAD A GOOSE NECK HITCH IN IT WHEN I BOUGHT IT. I TOOK IT OUT BUT I
STILL HAVE IT. HAS A BED LINER AS WELL. ENGINE RUNS FINE AND TRANS SHIFTS AS IT SHOULD. I HEARD MOST OF
THESE WERE DRAFTED IN THE AIR FORCE BACK THEN.... THIS ONE WAS NOT. IT HAS FACTORY A/C WHICH OF
COURSE NEEDS A CHARGE. THE MUFFLER HAS A LEAK SOMEWHERE ALTHOUGH IT IS NOT LOUD AND OBNOXIOUS.
TURN SIGNALS WORK BUT HAVE TO BE HELD IN POSITION. THERE IS A STEREO IN IT WHICH IS LAME. I DID NOT
INSTALL IT. THE BATTERY IS LARGER THAN REQUIRED AND WAS PUT IN A MARINE BOX????. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL
HOLDER IF DESIRED. THE SMOG PUMPS ARE NOT HOOKED UP BECAUSE THEY ARE SEIZED. I HAVE SOME OFF OF
ANOTHER VEHICLE IF YOU NEED THEM. TIRES ARE 80%. THIS WAS THE TRUCK TO HAVE BACK IN THE 80'S. THEY
DON'T MAKE THEM THIS BULLETPROOF ANYMORE. KEEP IN MIND THOUGH..... THIS TRUCK HAS NO RESPECT FOR A
GALLON OF GAS.=) I'M SURE THERE ARE THINGS I'M FORGETTING. ASK ME QUESTIONS! THIS WILL BE LISTED
LOCALLY. SO THIS AUCTION COULD END AT ANY TIME.

Florida Highway Patrolman seen watching YouTube in traffic
Fri, Apr 8 2016The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating allegations of a trooper watching YouTube videos on his official in-car laptop while driving. Lee County Florida resident James Peebles caught the alleged offender during his morning commute in early April, NBC2 reported. After exiting I-75, Peebles said that the FHP cruiser rolled up next to him at a stop light where he could clearly see the trooper inside watching a car race on Youtube on an official FHP laptop. Peebles put his car in park and snapped a picture of the cruiser before continuing to work. Later that day, he posted the photo to Facebook where it quickly went viral. "It blew my mind," Peebles told NBC2. "Everybody's human though, so I do know that we all make mistakes." NBC2 contacted the FHP for a statement after speaking to Peebles. An FHP spokesperson told the station that troopers are allowed to use their laptops while driving squad cars when carrying out official duties such as "simple inquiries" and "reviewing the nature of incoming messages". Other Florida motorists, like Jim Kosmerick who was interviewed by NBC2 for this story, don't consider watching an old race on YouTube to be official FHP business. "It's not official business, there's no way you can convince me otherwise," said Kosmerick. The FHP says that they are now aware of this fast moving viral image, and that they are taking the issue very seriously. They state that an investigation into the matter is underway, and that troopers are expected to abide by department policy and lead by example. Marchionne may stay with FCA until 2020
Mon, Aug 31 2015We might get to see Sergio Marchionne and his vast array of sweaters in the auto industry for even longer than expected. The FCA CEO suggested last year that he would retire from the automaker when its current five-year plan was complete in 2018. Now, he has tentatively extended that point out to at least 2020. "I can do this for another five years if you push me, right? Beyond that, I ain't gonna do it, and I don't want to," he said to Automotive News. That would give Marchionne a 16-year career at the top from joining Fiat in 2004 to possibly leaving FCA in 2020. Although, take the CEO's statement with a grain of salt because he has made multiple statements about the timing for his retirement. In 2012, Marchionne said he would only remain in charge until 2015, which is, well, now. Those five years might also go quite quickly because Marchionne is a busy guy with the Ferrari IPO, the attempted merger with General Motors, implementing FCA's five-year plan, and many other projects. He's already considering the next CEO, though. "My purpose in life is to find the Kuniskises of the world, the Manleys, the Biglands, the Palmers," Marchionne said to Automotive News, referencing the heads at Dodge, Jeep, FCA North America, and the company's chief financial officer, respectively. "I told them, 'One of you is going to do what I do one day. I don't know who that is, but one of you is going to do it.'" Old Dodge vans are big in Japan
Fri, Sep 23 2016One of the great things about Japan and its car culture is that it plays host to some of the most unusual and unique vehicle trends in the world. Whether it's neon-clad Lamborghinis or luxury sedans with insane negative camber, the country always seems to have something new up its sleeve. One of the most surprising trends is track-ready, full-size Dodge vans called Dajibans, and the video above presents a great look at these absurd machines. This isn't the first time we've covered these racing Dodge vans, but it's a subculture too awesome not to merit a second look. For one thing, just as American fans of Japanese cars here like to use JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) parts on their cars, the owners of these Dodges like to use American parts. Many of the vans feature Little Tree air fresheners inside and even have Spectre air filters on the intakes. Who would've thought there would be a market for Autozone's bread and butter auto accessories? Plus, these vans get some other impressive mods. Notice that some vans that appear to have stock metal bumpers, but they're actually fiberglass replicas in the original shape and given a chrome-like paint job. The video's host, an Australian drift fanatic named Alexi who lives in Japan and runs website called Noriyaro.com, gets some great onboard footage, too. One of the vans he rides along in is powered by a generally stock 318 Dodge V8, and still has the original automatic transmission and column shifter. Impressively, the driver manages to manually shift it without grabbing the wrong gear, and even rev matches the shifts. Alexi explains that the driver can catch neutral in-between gears three and two, so there's a brief moment where he can blip the throttle. There's even more information in the video, and it's all fantastic fun to watch. If you decide you haven't seen enough of Dajibans, you can also check out our previous post on it, which is more polished and provides some history and context to the trend.
