360 Automatic D100 Custom Rat Rod Plymouth Mopar Pilot House 1955 1956 1957 1958 on 2040-cars
Sacramento, California, United States
You are bidding on a 1955 Dodge D100 truck. Mechanically the truck runs and drives well. Has real good power to weight ratio. Has a good running 360 in it with plenty of torque and power. 3 speed automatic. 3.54 posi out back. The truck is almost 60 years old and isn't perfect. Truck needs cosmetic attention from the inside out. I don't see any rust. It has been a California/Nevada truck its whole life. Wood bed is a great shape. This is a custom truck that looks good now and will look better when you invest more money in it. View the pictures and bid what you feel it is worth. I put a very fair reserve on the truck. In fact, I think its a fairly low reserve. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this truck any amount of distance. The most I have driven the truck at one time is 120 miles. Feels very good and was a fun drive!
Title is clear and in my name and current with Registration in California until Sept. 2014. Deposit due within 24 hrs and is non refundable. I do not give refunds of any sort ever. I recently sold a Mercedes wagon/ Plymouth Valiant here on ebay and you can see their feedback left in my feedback profile. They expected less and got more. Everyone is different in what they expect so please ask questions and bid accordingly. Failure to view the truck before the auction ends is not the sellers responsibility. This is the buyers responsibility. There are no refunds; you bid, you pay, you pick up or have a car transport company pick the vehicle up for you. I have no problem assisting in transporting but it's your financial responsibility. If you want to fly in and see the truck, I will pick you up from the airport free of charge. If you have any questions about the truck, now is the time to ask me all the questions you can think of. Please do not ask me ANY questions after the auction about the car unless it pertains to payment and pick up. It is frustrating as a seller to have to answer questions when you have 5-7 days of auction to ask me anything you want. Please have all approvals from your wife, spouse, daughter, dog or pastor before bidding. That excuse is no longer a valid one. I have a great feedback rating for a reason and I would like to keep it that way. If you want it, bid your heart away. If you don't want this truck, there are other cool Mopar cars/trucks out there for sale. :) I am open to selling the truck world wide. Cost of shipping is still the buyers responsibility. Truck is for sale locally and in other venues. I reserve the right to end the auction early. Remember the truck is for sale when money is present. I would love to see it go to a good home! $500 deposit due within 24hrs of end of auction. Remainder due within 7 days from the end of auction. Payment should be cash in person or bank wire transfer before the car is picked up. Not the same day. Waiting at my bank for 5 hours waiting for the wire is not an option. Please, any questions feel free to email me and go from there. Thanks |

Chrysler recalling 2009-2010 Ram 1500, Dodge Dakota pickups over axle pinion nut
Mon, 08 Oct 2012Chrysler is issuing a recall for the 2009 and 2010 Ram 1500 and Dodge Dakota pickup trucks due to improper installation of the rear axle pinion nut. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a total of 44,300 trucks are affected by the recall, and there have been 12 confirmed incidents including one crash.
The issue on both trucks is that the pinion nut is loosening on some trucks due to a lack of thread adhesive, and it is causing the rear axle to lock up resulting in loss of vehicle control. NHTSA's recall notice says that eight incidents occurred at speeds over 35 miles per hour and most also exhibited driveshaft failures as well since the loss of the pinion nut would cause the gear to separate from the driveshaft. In one complaint, the driveshaft separated from the rear axle and punctured the gas tank.
Chrysler will begin sending out recall notices to affected owners in November, but scroll down to see the official NHTSA notice.
Chrysler recalls AWD 300, Charger, Ram 1500 over ZF transmission
Tue, 24 Dec 2013What do the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Ram 1500 all have in common? Yes, they're all Chrysler products, and two of them are based on the same platform. And we're sure you could find more similarities between them all, but the common trait we're looking at here is that, while they all come standard in rear-drive form, they're also available with all-wheel drive. And it's the transmission in those models that's the subject of the latest recall notice issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The output shaft on the eight-speed automatic transmission supplied by ZF to Chrysler for the AWD versions of the 300, Charger and Ram 1500 is apparently prone to fracture. That in the end could leave the vehicle without power and could, according to the NHTSA investigation, increase the chance of a crash. The vehicle could also roll away if even if left in Park without the handbrake applied.
That's why Chrysler is calling in 4,194 examples of those three models from the 2013 model year. Dealers will be responsible for inspecting the transmissions and, where necessary, replace the entire unit. See the full recall notice below for all the details.
Autoblog's Editors' Picks: Our complete list of the best new vehicles
Mon, May 13 2024It's not easy to earn an “EditorsÂ’ Picks” at Autoblog as part of the rating and review process that every new vehicle goes through. Our editors have been at it a long time, which means weÂ’ve driven and reviewed virtually every new car you can go buy on the dealer lot. There are disagreements, of course, and all vehicles have their strengths and weaknesses, but this list features what we think are the best new vehicles chosen by Autoblog editors. We started this formal review process back in 2018, so there's quite of few of them now. So what does it mean to be an EditorsÂ’ Pick? In short, it means itÂ’s a car that we can highly recommend purchasing. There may be one, multiple, or even zero vehicles in any given segment that we give the green light to. What really matters is that itÂ’s a vehicle that weÂ’d tell a friend or family member to go buy if theyÂ’re considering it, because itÂ’s a very good car. The best way to use this list is is with the navigation links below. Click on a segment, and you'll quickly arrive at the top rated pickup truck or SUV, for example. Use the back button to return to these links and search in another segment, like sedans. If youÂ’ve been keeping up with our monthly series of the latest vehicles to earn EditorsÂ’ Pick status, youÂ’re likely going to be familiar with this list already. If not, welcome to the complete list that weÂ’ll be keeping updated as vehicles enter (and others perhaps exit) the good graces of our editorial team. We rate a new car — giving it a numerical score out of 10 — every time thereÂ’s a significant refresh or if it happens to be an all-new model. Any given vehicle may be impressive on a first drive, but we wait until itÂ’s in the hands of our editors to put it through the same type of testing as every other vehicle that rolls through our test fleet before giving it the EditorsÂ’ Pick badge. This ensures consistency and allows more voices to be heard on each individual model. And just so you donÂ’t think weÂ’ve skipped trims or variants of a model, we hand out the EditorsÂ’ Pick based on the overarching model to keep things consistent. So, when you read that the 3 Series is an EditorsÂ’ Pick, yes, that includes the 330i to the M3 and all the variants in between. If thereÂ’s a particular version of that car we vehemently disagree with, we make sure to call that out.
