1989 Dodge LE 250 (W-250) 4x4 Sno-Commander Series with factory Meyers C-8 Snowplow with factory controls and light kit,custom insulated highrise campershell, with cab over compartment and heater(attached to engine cooling system) with remote controls in the cab,411 rears,Drawtite receiver hitch(8,000 lbs. trailer wt.),Many spare parts such as New Hubs(still in the box),plow parts,bulbs for all lites,etc. I am the original owner and purchased the vehicle new in 1989 from Chrysler,I still have the original bill of sale and vin. sheet. There were only 243 of this vehicle produced by Chrysler,it was the first year of E.F.I.,pre-power wagon of the 90's. The vehicle has not been worked much since 1997,when I sold my farm in New Jersey and moved to Nevada,it has made four trips across country since then, with no problems. Started restoring it then with the intent of working it when I retired,but unfortunately I became disabled last year and it's no use to me now. I would like to see it go to someone who would appreciate the work and care I've given it and not just run it into the ground, for it's a rare breed and they will never make one like it AGAIN.I would like to see it go to a GOOD home, for it's been good to ME,and never let me down over the years,hopefully it can do the same for someone else. McLaren 650S Spider wrecked in multi-vehicle crash in LA
Wed, Nov 2 2016A multi-vehicle crash in Los Angeles left a $280,000- McLaren 650S Spider mangled and two hospitalized, reports KTLA5. The Los Angeles Police Department suspects street racing caused the incident. The crash occurred just outside of Hale Charter Academy in Woodlawn Hills on Tuesday night. According to eyewitness statements, the 650S Spider was traveling at a high rate of speed in a race against a black Dodge Charger or Challenger before colliding with an Audi (possibly an A6), leaving the Audi heavily damaged. The Dodge fled the scene before police arrived. 2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit is ready to serve and protect
Fri, 08 Aug 2014Okay speed freaks, it's time to update your cheat sheet of police headlights, as Dodge has just unveiled the new 2015 Charger sedan's police variant, the Pursuit.
Like previous Charger Pursuits, the 2015 model is based on a modified version of the civilian sedan, featuring the same basic batch of mechanicals and sheetmetal, while adding a number of items specific to the five-oh.
For 2015, cops can select from the same 3.6-ltier V6 and 5.7-liter Hemi V8 available to the civilian population, with former turning out 292 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque and the latter packing 370 ponies and 390 lb-ft. Even loaded down with equipment, Dodge claims the Hemi-powered cop car can hit 60 miles per hour in under six seconds, while both engines are expected return 26 miles per gallon on the highway (thanks to the V8's four-cylinder mode). Rear-wheel drive is standard with both engines, while V8 Pursuits can be fitted with all-wheel drive.
Chrysler recalling 2009-2010 Ram 1500, Dodge Dakota pickups over axle pinion nut
Mon, 08 Oct 2012Chrysler is issuing a recall for the 2009 and 2010 Ram 1500 and Dodge Dakota pickup trucks due to improper installation of the rear axle pinion nut. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a total of 44,300 trucks are affected by the recall, and there have been 12 confirmed incidents including one crash.
The issue on both trucks is that the pinion nut is loosening on some trucks due to a lack of thread adhesive, and it is causing the rear axle to lock up resulting in loss of vehicle control. NHTSA's recall notice says that eight incidents occurred at speeds over 35 miles per hour and most also exhibited driveshaft failures as well since the loss of the pinion nut would cause the gear to separate from the driveshaft. In one complaint, the driveshaft separated from the rear axle and punctured the gas tank.
