1988 Dodge W100 Pickup 4x4 "macho Tribute Edition" "power Wagon" on 2040-cars
Canal Winchester, Ohio, United States
You are bidding on my 1988 Dodge W100 Pickup Truck - 4 Wheel Drive. This truck is my show truck. It is an award winner. It is a very clean truck. It is one of the cleanest I have ever seen at all the car shows I have been to for it's year & location. Here is a list of things I have done to it in the 8 years I have owned it. Most of these have been done in the last 2 years: 6' Bed - Lined with Duplicolor Bed Armor Thrush Welded Muffler -- Dual Outlets W/ IMCO Dual Exhaust Tail Pipes<br> New Gabriel Gas Shocks - New Brakes & Rotors Unique Chrome Wheels -- 15" W/ BF Goodrich All Terrain Tires -- 31 Series Professionally Custom Painted W/ Martin Senour Prism Single Stage Commercial Paint Custom Graphics "Macho Tribute Edition". Includes Custom Side & Tailgate W100 decals. The Paint & Graphics were completed on 5/15/2013. The Engine was Replaced @ 35,000 miles
The Transmission was Overhauled @ 54,000 miles Under the hood I replaced the following: Battery, Radiator, Water Pump, Engine Computer, Oil Pump, Oil Pressure Switch, Temperature Sensor, Valve Cover Gaskets Spark Plugs & Wires, Distributor Cap & Rotor. This list goes on and on. This truck was really taken care of before I received it. The Arizona sun baked the clear coat. I really love this truck. The only reason I am selling it is an impending Divorce. You can't have it all. The only thing I know about as flaws is the following: There is a scratch on the tailgate. After they finished installed the rear graphic, I was carrying it out the door of my shop & the wind caught the door & hit the Tailgate. It is really minor. There is a protruding dent on the D.S. front fender. It is real hard to see. I think I did it when I replaced the Engine Computer. the Dent Doctor gave me an estimate of $150 to fix it. The tires have 35,000 miles on them. They still have plenty of tread & are fine for showing. These will need replaced eventually if this is going to be a daily driver. (Too nice a truck for that!) It only burns oil when it idles. Does not burn oil when driving. I have all the valve seals. I just haven't had the time to replace them. The oil pressure & temperature gauges are always showing lower than they should be. I was told it could be a bad ground. This truck is a real head turner. I have had people stop me before so they can get pictures of it. I can send any pictures that are needed. Just let me know. I reserve the right to cancel this auction early due to the fact that I also have this advertised locally. |

The best cars we drove this year
Tue, Dec 30 2014Six hundred and fifty. That's roughly how many cars pass through the hands of Autoblog editors every year, from the vehicles we test here at home, to the cars we drive on new product launches, testing roundups, long-term cars, and so on. Of course, our individual numbers vary due to several reasons, but at the end of the day, our team's repertoire of automotive experience is indeed vast. But let's be honest, some cars certainly stand out more than others. So as the year's about to turn, and as we're readying brand-new daily cat calendars for our cubicles, our editors are all taking time to reflect on the machinery that made this year so special, with one simple, open-ended question as the guide – a question that we're asked quite frequently, from friends, family, colleagues, and more. "What's the best car you drove this year?" Lamborghini Huracan When I review the list of everything I drove in 2014, picking an absolute favorite becomes almost impossible. I mean, how does one delineate between the joy offered by cars as different as the Alfa Romeo 4C, Volkswagen Golf R, Mercedes-AMG GT S and even the humble-yet-wonderful Chevy Colorado? Okay fine, I'll just pick the Lamborghini. I drove the Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 on a racetrack, in the mountains, and along southern coast of Spain. It felt like the king of the car jungle in all of those places, sucking the eyeballs of observers nearly out of their heads as it drove by, and almost melting my brain with its cocktail of speed and grip and intense communication. It feels a little easy to say that the one new supercar I drove this year was also my favorite, but the fact is that the Huracan is one of the finest cars I've driven during my career, let alone 2014. Judge me if you must. – Seyth Miersma Senior Editor Rolls-Royce Wraith There are a couple of ways to look at the question, "What's the best car you drove this year?" In terms of what was so good I'd go out and buy one tomorrow, that'd be my all-time sweetheart, the Volkswagen GTI. Or if I'm just talking about sheer cool-factor, maybe something like the Galpin GTR1, BMW i8, or Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG. But instead, I'm going to write about the sheer opulence of being the best of the best. The hand-crafted, holier-than-thou, shut-your-mouth-when-I'm-talking-to-you supremacy. I'm picking the Rolls-Royce Wraith. I drove the Wraith for a week in April, and was really, really impressed. This car does everything, perfectly.
2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat
Wed, 29 Oct 2014Including all-wheel-drive models, there are ten versions of the 2015 Dodge Charger. The tenth variant - better described as the ten-tenths variant and the topmost model - is this Charger SRT Hellcat.
Superficially, you already know what it is: take the massively powerful Hellcat engine that's Frankensteined into the Dodge Challenger and stitch it into the recently facelifted Charger sedan.
Oh, but that would be superficial knowledge indeed. Russ Ruedisueli, vehicle line executive and head engineer for SRT, claims the Charger Hellcat is, "The industry's most irreverent four-door supercar." We looked up the word "irreverent" in the Oxford dictionaries, and it turns out the word doesn't mean "707 horsepower," nor "650 pound-feet of torque" nor "3.7-second 0-60 time, and seats five adults." It does mean, "Showing a lack of respect for people or things that are generally taken seriously."
Weekly Recap: FCA hit with record fine as NHTSA crackdown continues
Sat, Aug 1 2015The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration slapped Fiat Chrysler Automobiles with a record fine this week that could reach $105 million. The punishment comes after NHTSA found problems with the automaker's execution of 23 recalls that affect more than 11 million vehicles. The consent agreement, announced Sunday, calls for FCA to pay a $70-million cash fine and requires the company to spend at least $20 million over a three-year period on industry outreach programs and to beef up old recall campaigns. Failure to comply will result in another $15-million fine. FCA also agreed to federal oversight, which includes an independent monitor to oversee the company's recalls. The $70-million cash fine equals a penalty NHTSA levied on Honda in January. "Fiat Chrysler's pattern of poor performance put millions of its customers and the driving public at risk," NHTSA administrator Mark Rosekind said in a statement. "This action will provide relief to owners of defective vehicles, will help improve recall performance throughout the auto industry, and gives Fiat Chrysler the opportunity to embrace a proactive safety culture." FCA called the deal a "consensual resolution," but admitted that it "failed to timely provide an effective remedy" during certain recalls. "We are intent on rebuilding our relationship with NHTSA and we embrace the role of public safety advocate," the company said in a statement. The announcement kicked off a busy week for the automaker. NHTSA agreed FCA did not need to recall 4.7 million vehicles after an investigation failed to find defects with a power module used in some Jeep, Dodge, and Ram vehicles. A Georgia judge also reduced a civil verdict involving a death in a Jeep Grand Cherokee crash. Amid all of that, the company reported net profit of about 333 million euros, or $364 million in the second quarter on Thursday. OTHER NEWS & NOTES FCA ramps up Hellcat production Despite a decidedly legal and financial week for FCA, there was still time for the performance side of the business to briefly grab the spotlight. The automaker is more than doubling its production of the Dodge Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcats in response to strong demand. The order bank opens the second week of August and production begins in September. FCA will finish up its scheduled 2015 model-year Hellcat builds, and cancel any "unscheduled" versions, though customers will get discounted pricing for 2016.
