This is an original 1975 Dodge 440 Short Wide Box two wheel drive truck. The motor and trans has been rebuilt. The motor is the original motor for the truck and has been bored .030 over with 8 to 1 forged pistons. I had planned on putting a supercharger on it but have not made it that far. The front was already lowered before I got it and they just cut the springs. Still drives good but needs to be done right. I put a B-body 8 3/4 3.55 posi in the rear on top of the leaf springs so I could get the 10 inch wheels under the wheel wells. Had to cut out wheel wells in the truck bed for clearance. Planned on finding a junk box for the wheel wells and have them welded in for more of a factory look. No bondo in this truck at all. Original color was orange and floors are beautiful, rust free and still painted orange. Bumpers, grille and glass all nice. I have a tinted rear sliding window that will be included with truck as well as a clamp on rail tonneau cover that is in like new condition. Everything works on this truck including the gas gauge. Box is not original to truck, it was not that great. The wheels are Cragrar street stars and the tires are BFG T/A's and they are brand new. It has new brakes all the way around as well. Only problem that needs to be addressed before it can be driven daily is it leaks gear oil at the bottom of the third member so will need to be pulled and a new gasket installed. It does have a factory front sway bar and power steering. I have a clean clear title. I have owned this truck for about 8 years. For an extra $300 I will throw in a new carpet kit and a set of Doug Thorley Tri y headers which is less than what the headers alone cost.

Dodge CEO and Gas Monkey Garage dissect the 10-second Challenger Hellcat
Fri, 11 Jul 2014So far, whenever we've seen the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT with its 707-horsepower, supercharged Hellcat V8, the muscle car has been smoking its tires. Dodge is finally proving that the SRT can do more than ruin perfectly good sets of rubber, though. In it's latest video, company CEO Tim Kuniskis hands the Hellcat off to the guys from Gas Monkey Garage to show how quickly the automaker's most powerful model can make it down the drag strip.
Of course, the only fitting contender to race against Dodge's latest top muscle car is its grandpa - a Hemi-powered 1971 Challenger, in this case. Before getting to the main event, the hosts also show off some of the SRT's unique features like the blanks in the grille that feed the intercoolers. We'll go ahead and spoil that the Hellcat makes its pass in the 10-second range, and the video admits the tires on the production version would take just a touch longer to cover the quarter-mile. However, you have to watch film to see just how quick it actually goes. Scroll down to see a classic example of American muscle drag racing against its modern legacy.
Chrysler's next-gen minivans will get more expensive
Mon, Feb 2 2015Chrysler introduced the value-oriented Great American Package on the base model Chrysler 300 in 2005. That morphed into the American Value Package available as an option on the Dodge Grand Caravan in 2012, which made it the lowest-priced minivan in the country, now with an MSRP of $21,395. Automotive News reports that Chrysler is going to kill the value package when the new Town & Country arrives for 2017, because the new platform and technology of the coming minivan make it "a difficult price point to get to." AN says the next-generation haulers will come in around $26,000 and can go beyond $45,000 with options; clicking every "Add" button we could find on the Town & Country build page, we couldn't get past $43,000 for today's model. That entry pricing in 2017 would eliminate the first three trims on the Dodge option, the American Value Package, the SE that starts at $24,195, and the SE Plus that starts at $24,995. This makes us think the next-generation haulers will take a sizable step upscale in terms of feel, content, and trim, a la the Chrysler 200. In this writer's opinion, if they do as good a job as they've been doing recently, the extra money will be worth it. There have been spy shots and a lot of rumors about it, like the Caravan minivan going away and becoming a crossover, but we'll see it revealed at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show. NHTSA probing Ram recall pace, communication
Tue, 28 Oct 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced that it's looking into Chrysler Group's handling of a pair of recalls affecting roughly one million Ram pickup trucks. Reuters is reporting that the regulatory agency is focusing on the availability (or lack thereof) of parts and "poor communications" from the automaker in its investigation.
"Customers have been advised in accordance with the regulations governing recalls," Chrysler spokesman Eric Mayne told Reuters via email. "We are continually replenishing our supply of replacement parts. Chrysler Group regrets any inconvenience our customers may have experienced."
NHTSA disagrees, arguing that the recalls, which affect 972,000 trucks from 2003 to 2012, are being delayed by the lack of parts.
