CONTACT JEFF AT 570 977 0741. Up for sale and your consideration is a beautiful 1954 Dodge 1/2 ton stepside pickup beautifully restored and transformed from work truck to hotrod ! As you can see a lot of TLC, time and money have gone into this frame off restoration. Please take the time to look over all 24 photos that I have listed here on the auction. I even put the truck on a lift and photographed the undercarriage to show the quality of this truck. I have many more photos available to any prospective buyer. Just call and ask for them.
BODY:
Body is painted a dark maroon and appears to have been rust free from the start. Paint is excellent, glass and window rubbers are new. Pickup bed wood is refinished. Bumpers were removed and 1940 Chevy tail lights were installed in the rear pan. Chrome grille is excellent. All exterior lighting works.
DRIVELINE:
Engine is a 1956 Desoto 330 HEMI bored to 341 cubic inches. Engine was totally rebuilt. Cylinder heads were redone by P&W in Hanover, NJ. Engine block was machined by Tucker Kelly also of NJ. Camshaft was reground by Camcraft Performance Cams to a .253 Lift and .235 Duration. I have the cam spec sheet in hand to verify this. The engine runs great ! 60 psi of oil pressure when first started up at idle, and 40psi of oil pressure consistently when driving. Transmission is a 904 Chrysler unit with a shift kit. The rear is an 8" Ford Non-Posi unit with new bearings and seals. Engine exits exhaust via a like new stainless steel exhaust system all professionally done.  It sounds great ! The electrical system has been upgraded to a 12 volt alternator setup. Power steering has also been added which makes the truck a breeze to drive.
CHASSIS:
Stock front axle remains in this truck but has been greatly upgraded with disc brakes to ensure good stopping ability. As you can see in the photos the underside is almost as nice as the topside of the truck. Truck sits on new Cragar S/S wheels. Tires have excellent tread. This truck is a great candidate for the "Gasser" look with the addition of spring blocks and longer U-bolts.
SERVICE & DRIVABILITY
This is a turn key truck that can be enjoyed immediately the day that you buy it. I just drove it 50 miles on the interstate highway and on back roads and in downtown traffic. It ran, shifted, stopped and overall performed extremely well. Engine runs consistently at 180 degrees. All the engine monitoring gauges work properly as well as the speedometer and gas gauge. The truck has just been serviced with a fresh oil and oil filter change and a grease job. All fluids have been checked.
INTERIOR:
The interior has been upgraded with new door panels and headliner. A plush tan seat and burgundy carpet look great. Smooth painted dash looks fantastic. There is aluminum dash inserts. On the drivers side houses a set of Dolphin Vintage style gauges. The Speedometer gauge is on the right. On the left side is a combo gauge which houses an oil pressure gauge, volts gauge, temp gauge and fuel gauge. There is a Grant GT wood ring steering wheel. Lokar shifter and Lokar emergency brake are also installed. Wipers are inoperable and not hooked up. Heater was eliminated. Radio was also eliminated.

2019 Tokyo Auto Salon features one of the coolest auctions we've seen

Thu, Jan 3 2019

In just over a week, the Tokyo Auto Salon will host one of the coolest auctions we've seen in years. Jalopnik spotted BH Auction's listings, and it's a cornucopia of hot machinery you won't typically find at American auctions like Gooding & Company or Barrett Jackson. While Japanese cars make up most of the listings, Ferrari, Porsche, BMW and even Dodge all have at least one car going up for auction. We won't include everything here, but you can check out the full list on BH Auction's website. There are 50 lots at the auction, including nine Nissan Skylines, nine Ferraris and two Porsche Carrera GTs. Some of our other favorites include a Honda S800 coupe, a Toyota Miniace truck, a Mitsubishi Willys Jeep and a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL gullwing with the V8 from a W124 Mercedes-Benz E60 AMG that's estimated to sell for between $1.25 million and $1.5 million. Dodge Challenger Shakedown: '71 body, new guts

Tue, Nov 1 2016

While Jeep has created a number of vintage-bodied custom vehicles with modern components, this year's SEMA show plays host to Dodge's take on the idea. The Shakedown concept began life as a 1971 Challenger and ditched almost everything in it, including the engine and chassis. What's left is a modern car with a retro look. The chassis was a particularly complicated part of the job, since the Challenger was originally a unibody car. However, Dodge chose to separate the Challenger's iconic body from its structural parts, and moved it onto a custom, one-off chassis from which the body can be removed as needed. The chassis also carries lowered suspension, Challenger Hellcat brakes, and a 6.4-liter 392 Hemi V8 connected to a six-speed manual transmission from the Viper. Dodge also installed the engine using the new Hemi engine swap kit from Mopar. With the shaker cold-air intake and custom exhaust, the Shakedown's powerplant makes 485 horsepower. View 13 Photos The body itself received plenty of tweaking as well. Dodge shaved off the drip rails, door handles, and turn signals for a cleaner look, and also fitted the grille, headlights, and taillights from a 2017 Challenger. The whole thing is finished in matte black paint with a "vibrating" stripe offset on the left side. The Shakedown also gets 20-inch Slingshot rear wheels and a pair of custom 19-inch versions for the front. On each fender is a bright red "392" decal that uses the same font as the labels on classic Mopars 360 cubic-inch V8s. Inside, the Shakedown gets the same radical upgrade as the chassis. Two Viper seats accompany a Viper steering wheel, and the rear seats are gone altogether. The Viper gearbox is shifted with a Challenger Hellcat gear knob, and carbon-fiber accents and leather adorn the wheel, door panels, instrument panel and center console. The Walter P. Chrysler Museum is shutting down permanently this December

Thu, Nov 10 2016

It is with disappointment that we report the Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills, MI, will be closed down permanently at the end of this year. The museum, which closed in 2012 after not being able to cover costs, was recently reopened to the public on alternating weekends starting in June, but Chrysler made the decision to shutter it altogether after its final day of operation on December 18, 2016. The reason for this is primarily because FCA needs more office space, and the company decided to convert the museum for that purpose. The the cars will be moved to storage after the closure, and they'll be shown at various events. However, they'll only be able to be seen together for two more weekends. Those weekends include those of November 19 and 20, and December 17 and 18. The museum will be open from 10 am to 4 pm on those days. If you can, we highly recommend visiting the museum. Adults get in for $10, seniors and retired FCA employees for $8, kids between 6 and 17 for $6, and kids under 5 for free. It also has some fantastic cars including concepts from the 1950s to the 2000s, oddball performance vehicles such as the Omni GLH-S, and of course plenty of fascinating history. And if it makes any difference to you, there's even a purple Plymouth Prowler you can sit in. Just make sure you don't wait too long to make up your mind about visiting. Related Video:
