1949 Dodge 5-window 1/2 Ton “Pilothouse” Pickup VIN 82110360 Model B 1-B-108 The B1-B were 1/2 ton trucks standard with a 95 hp (71 kW) flathead-straight-six engine (rebuilt several years ago.) The B Series trucks featured a high-visibility "pilot-house" cab with optional rear quarter windows. Three speed manual transmission on the floor—as original. Fuel tank located under carriage area; electrical system converted to 12 Volt. Wood bed was recently redone and looks great. The interior dash is all original, the radio does not work, all gauges work. The wipers work, horn does not work. The entire interior seat, door panels, and headliner are custom done and look great on this truck. The interior and exterior paint appears to be a maroon metallic color—it changes colors depending on the angle and light; it still has a very nice shine and condition throughout the entire truck—see the pics. I have a lot photos showing the entire truck ask me and I will link them to you. I encourage to inspect the truck and you to bring your magnet, or I will loan you mine, I have only found two spots; one on the passenger side door—from a small dent, not rust, and the other is on the driver’s side rear wheel fender—there is signs, underneath, of a repair done near the rear lower corner. Other then what I mentioned I could find nothing else. The trucks engine and transmission are original, and I believe the rear differential is not the original one; appears to be a ford 9 inch rear-end (unknown gears). The entire under carriage suspension, brakes, and cylinders have been replaced when this truck was completely refurbished to its current condition. The truck has been thoroughly gone through and refurbished. The paint has a great metallic additives and has a nice shine. I have the original rear bumper, it will go w/ the truck; it needs to be restored—see photos. The truck starts up w/ no hesitation, the transmission shifts great. The truck is ready for the road and your local car show |

25,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango SUVs recalled over brake feel
Mon, 10 Mar 2014Chrysler has announced that it is recalling over 25,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango SUVs from several markets over concerns about brake feel under hard braking. The affected models are from the 2012 and 2013 model years, although the actual dates of production aren't available. 18,700 are in the US, while 825 are in Canada, 530 are in Mexico and a further 5,200 outside of North America.
According to a statement, Chrysler was informed of the issue by a component supplier for the Ready Alert Braking system, which primes the brakes in anticipation of an emergency stop. A component in the system was restricting the flow of brake fluid too much.
As Chrysler is quick to point out, the way the brakes functioned was in compliance with regulations and there are no reported cases of drivers losing braking power. Instead, the issue rests with what Chrysler calls a pedal feel that "was not consistent with customer expectations." So it would seem Chrysler is being proactive and fixing a problem not because there's a legal issue at work, but simply because it doesn't feel the way the manufacturer wants it to. Well done.
2013 Dodge Challenger R/T hits the Redline
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Dodge has added a bit of spice to its Hemi-powered Challenger for 2013, offering up this new Redline package that makes its official debut at the Chicago Auto Show. The R/T Redline builds on the Rallye Redline kit that was created for the V6 Challenger, and we like how these subtle changes add to the muscle coupe's already classic styling.
In addition to the black chrome 20-inch wheels with red accents, the R/T Redline adds subtle graphics along the beltline. Inside, cars equipped with the six-speed manual transmission get a performance tuned exhaust that allows the engine to send a full 375 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels. (Redline Challengers with the five-speed automatic produce 372 hp and 400 lb-ft.)
The Redline package retails for $1,995 and can be had on both Challenger R/T and R/T Plus models. Scroll down for the full press blast.
Federal grand jury issues subpoenas to U.S. FCA dealers
Wed, Jul 27 2016Despite an attempt to clarify and backtrack, it seems the investigation into Fiat Chrysler Automobile's false sales reporting is picking up steam. According to Automotive News, FCA dealers and regional offices have received subpoenas ordering them to supply documents and testimony to a grand jury in Detroit. Of course, the dealers are objecting to the request. They claim the subpoenas are too broad and would require them to hand over too much personal information, like personal phone numbers of dealer employees going back years. The group wants to make it clear that FCA has clarified its sales reporting and that the issue is with the manufacturer, not dealers. The dealers say that FCA employee records and testimony should be enough. It's rumored that a dealer group is the one that sparked the investigation in the first place. FCA confirmed on July 18 that it indeed was under investigation by a number of federal agencies. Although they've clarified their position regarding sales reporting, the fraud investigation continues full steam. Related Video:
