I have my 1941 Dodge project up for auction. I have invested nearly 15K up to this point, having everything professionally fabricated by Karl Lampkin of LA Automotive.
To this point I have created a pro stock chassis with a 79 Camaro front clip, and hand built tube to the rear to accommodate the narrowed 9 inch rear end with a 411 limited slip ratio. There are new Wildwood disks all around, rolling on brand new Mickey Thompsons mounted on Weld rims. Every busing has been replaced on the front. It is set up for a sb chevy motor, which I do not have, but does include a fresh 400 turbo transmission with a new 3200 stall converter.
It has been chopped 6 inches and channeled to sit low, and the new floor pans and wheel tubs hand fabricated to include the trans tunnel and lower stance. I have installed a steering column from a 76 Firebird that has the removable steering wheel, along with tilt and no column shift.
I also replaced the stock gauges with new Dolphin gauges surrounded by aluminum billet, have two Riccardo bucket seats.
Everything will be included with sale, again this hotrod still needs finishing: plumbing, wiring, pedals, engine and radiator.
This will make an excellent one-of-a-kind, I have never seen one like it, plus it is built rite - no shorts or shade tree mechanics here.
I have it painted satin black, it is not 100 percent perfect but almost all of the original metal is there with minimal body filler. In other words, there are still some small imperfections in the body here and there.
I understand that I will never get the money invested back, and will entertain serious offers, but please don't waste my time with and low-balling.
At the end of the auction, the winning bid will need to make contact within 24 hours of the close, provide a PayPal deposit, and the rest will be settled in CASH before picking up the truck.
Buyer is to arrange own shipping, plus be responsible for all costs. I will be willing to assist with the arrangements.
Have clear title in hand.

Best car infotainment systems: From UConnect to MBUX, these are our favorites
Sun, Jan 7 2024Declaring one infotainment system the best over any other is an inherently subjective matter. You can look at quantitative testing for things like input response time and various screen load times, but ask a room full of people that have tried all car infotainment systems what their favorite is, and you’re likely to get a lot of different responses. For the most part, the various infotainment systems available all share a similar purpose. They aim to help the driver get where they're going with navigation, play their favorite tunes via all sorts of media playback options and allow folks to stay connected with others via phone connectivity. Of course, most go way beyond the basics these days and offer features like streaming services, in-car performance data and much more. Unique features are aplenty when you start diving through menus, but how they go about their most important tasks vary widely. Some of our editors prefer systems that are exclusively touch-based and chock full of boundary-pushing features. Others may prefer a back-to-basics non-touch system that is navigable via a scroll wheel. You can compare it to the phone operating system wars. Just like some prefer Android phones over iPhones, we all have our own opinions for what makes up the best infotainment interface. All that said, our combined experience tells us that a number of infotainment systems are at least better than the rest. WeÂ’ve narrowed it down to five total systems in their own subcategories that stand out to us. Read on below to see our picks, and feel free to make your own arguments in the comments. Best infotainment overall: UConnect 5, various Stellantis products Ram 1500 Uconnect Infotainment System Review If thereÂ’s one infotainment system that all of us agree is excellent, itÂ’s UConnect. It has numerous qualities that make it great, but above all else, UConnect is simple and straightforward to use. Ease of operation is one of the most (if not the single most) vital parts of any infotainment system interface. If youÂ’re expected to be able to tap away on a touchscreen while driving and still pay attention to the road, a complex infotainment system is going to remove your attention from the number one task at hand: driving. UConnect uses a simple interface that puts all of your key functions in a clearly-represented row on the bottom of the screen. Tap any of them, and it instantly pulls up that menu.
Dodge Viper might not live past 2017
Wed, Oct 14 2015The Dodge Viper might be running out of venom because the muscle-bound sports car could be on the road to being cancelled in just a few years. According to Allpar, the proposed deal between the United Auto Workers and FCA US would close the Connor Avenue Assembly plant, which produces the Viper, in 2017. The proposed union contract doesn't give a reason for closing the factory, but the decision is understandable if frustrating. The plant was idled twice last year to reduce production of the Viper to match flagging demand. A $15,000 price cut for the coupe eventually allowed for a sales surge, but that appetite hasn't continued in 2015. From January through September of this year, the company has only moved 503 of the sports cars, down eight percent. To further spur demand, Dodge has employed a few other tactics like the 1 of 1 program for buyers to personalize their Vipers, and the introduction of the brutally track-focused ACR. In a world where high-end sports cars are continuing to get friendlier for both their drivers and the environment, the Viper remains a holdout with a big, naturally aspirated V10. Even with the addition of some electronic aids on the latest Vipers, the snake still demands respect from those behind the wheel. Respect is fine, but sales are what matter to FCA – and the harsh reality is that a lack thereof might force the Viper into retirement, whether we like it or not.
2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat gets brace of new videos
Wed, 21 May 2014Yesterday's big announcement focusing on the new Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat had plenty of stuff going for it - information, pictures and the rabid enthusiasm that always accompanies such an eagerly anticipated reveal. What it was lacking, though, was a proliferation of videos of the new model.
Sure, yesterday's news came with one clip, but today, Dodge has come through with five videos. We've arranged them in what we think will be the most entertaining order, covering the powertrain, before moving on to exterior and interior design, then on to a full CGI dissection of the SRT Hellcat before capping things off with a piece on the non-supercharged Challenger SRT392.
Take a look below for all five videos, then head into Comments and let us know what you think.
