1941 DODGE FLAT FENDER MILITARY TRUCK WITH DUAL REAR WHEELS
WAS ORIGINALLY A 201 FLATHEAD 6 CYLINDER WITH A 4 SPEED TRANS AND SINGLE SPEED TRANFER CASE. NEEDS RESTORATION. WAS A RUNNING AND DRIVING TRUCK 2 YEARS AGO. VERY SOLID CAB ONLY HAS A COUPLE OF SMALL FLOOR HOLES AND REAR CAB TO FLOOR SEAM NEEDS SOME LIGHT RUST REPAIR. THE FRAME HAS BEEN HEAVILY (NOT FROM RUST ...JUST USAGE) PLATED. ALSO THE DOORS NEED SOME REPAIR ON THE INSIDE UNDERNEATH AS WELL AS WHERE THE MIRRORS MOUNT (SOMEONE WELDED ON PLATES TO INSTALL THE MIRRORS!!) CURRENTLY THE BED AND TAILGATE ARE OFF, BUT STILL INCLUDED. THE ENGINE IS GONE BUT THE REST OF THE DRIVELINE IS STILL THERE AND IN GOOD SHAPE. TRANSMISSION HAS THE AUXILLARY PTO DRIVE FOR A WINCH OR OTHER PIECE OF EQUIPMENT. (I HAVE AN ORIGINAL BRADEN PTO DRIVEN WINCH AVAILABLE SEPARATELY FOR $500) HAS A TRANSFERABLE NEW YORK REGISTRATION (NEW YORK IS A NON TITLE STATE) WHICH THE DMV RECOGNIZES AND WILL PRODUCE A TITLE WHEN TRANSFERRED. ALL 6 TIRES ARE NEARLY NEW AND STILL NICE. HAS SOME NEW BRAKE HOSES AND REBUILT MASTER CYLINDER AND WHEEL CYLINDERS, AS WELL AS NEW BRAKE SHOES ALL AROUND. I ALSO HAVE SOME EXTRA STUFF THAT WILL GO WITH IT, SUCH AS HARD TO FIND WINDSHIELD FRAME WITH GOOD GLASS, GOOD REAR GLASS, RESTORED SPEEDOMETER ASSEMBLY, EXTRA GAUGES, NOS EXHAUST HEAD PIPE, NOS ADJUSTABLE LH MIRROR POST, FOOT STARTER PLUNGER, NICE HOOD ASSEMBLY, BEAT BUT NOT RUSTY FULL LENGTH RUNNING BOARDS, AND OTHER SMALL ITEMS. Does the future of Fiat-Chrysler include Dodge?
Thu, 13 Jun 2013Wards Auto reports the future of Dodge is looking uncertain. Fiat has more or less laid out it's game plan for the next few years, and while the Chrysler, Fiat and Jeep lines are set to receive plenty of love, Dodge isn't so lucky. Fiat has already hobbled Dodge significantly by splitting off the brand's trucks into a separate Ram line.
Wards says that after the Avenger rides off into the sunset early next year, Fiat-Chrysler won't replace the model, leaving a gaping midsize hole in the Dodge lineup. The report also cites unnamed sources as saying that at least two other current Dodge products will move to the Chrysler line.
One of those could very well be the Grand Caravan. Chrysler has already made it clear that it plans to trim redundancy between its minivan offerings, but it has yet to clarify which other vehicle could sail under the Chrysler banner moving forward. Either way, such changes to the product line would theoretically leave Dodge with just four models.
Dodge Vipers selling for $480k in China
Wed, Apr 29 2015Want to get your hands on a new Dodge Viper? Be prepared to pay dearly. It starts at nearly $90k here in the US, but that's nothing compared to what you'd have to pay for one if you lived in, say, China. CarsNewsChina.com reports on one Viper available in Beijing for an eye-watering 298 million yuan – equivalent to about $480,000 at today's exchange rates and representing more than a 500-percent markup. Part of that premium comes down to the Chinese tax code that charges a reported 60 percent for anything with an engine displacing over four liters. And the Viper's, we needn't remind you, is more than twice that. It naturally costs some to import a car to China as well, but most of the rest is pure profit. The Beijing dealership reportedly gets the cars from dealers in California, has already sold three and plans to import several more. The dealer can also get you (or wealthy Chinese individuals) a Corvette Stingray for a comparatively cheap 1.73 million yuan (or $280k). Related Video:
