2005 Dodge Neon Sxt Sedan 4-door Remote Start And Keyless Entry on 2040-cars
Valparaiso, Indiana, United States
I am selling this 2005 Dodge Neon SXT for my fiance. She has been the only owner of this car from its original purchase in 2005, and has put approximately 133,500 miles on it since. This is a daily driver for the next couple days until her new Ford Edge gets plated and goes through inspection, so the miles will change some, but not drastically.
The reason for selling the car is because I just purchased her a newer Ford Edge, and we will no longer need this car. This would make an EXCELLENT first vehicle or work car, as it gets fantastic fuel mileage. Routine maintenance has been done to the car since she purchased it. -Schaffer 7000 synthetic oil has been used every 5,000 miles (2,000 miles sooner than needed). -The tires have been replaced less than 10,000 miles ago and are in great shape -Viper Remote Start System with keyless entry -New battery replaced this winter -New spark plugs replaced last week -New front brakes and rotors replaced last Fall -New tie rod and alignment done last month This is a solid car, and drives great. Here is the only negative about the car, which does not affect the driving of the vehicle. If left outside in the cold, as evidenced by this last winter, it is noisy for about 5 seconds, but then quiets down. We took it in to see if anything was wrong, and every mechanic that looked at it said there was nothing wrong, it's just cold, but the engine is fine. Please review the pictures to see the bumps and bruises pointed out on the car. We are starting this out at $3,000 with NO RESERVE, and encourage you to ask questions or come out to test drive it. Please remember that you are bidding to buy this vehicle. I recently sold my Audi TT which was riddled with minor issues, and I pay close attention to detail in listing vehicles as I know most of you are not within a close distance of coming to look at this vehicle, and I don't want anyone upset. I would get into this Dodge Neon and drive it to Florida and back with NO WORRIES. Please review my feedback for any other questions as to my accuracy of listings. Thanks!!! |

Dodge not being dropped by Chrysler, CEO reaffirms
Mon, 16 Sep 2013Dodge isn't going anywhere. Despite some rumor and speculation over the future of the crosshair grille and the cars that wear it, Dodge brand boss, Tim Kuniskis, sat down with TheDetroitBureau.com, explaining that the marque isn't going anywhere. His sentiments echo those of SRT boss Ralph Gilles, who told a group of enthusiasts in July that "Dodge is here to stay!"
Dodge's death won't be "a part of a master plan to consolidate brands," Kuniskis told TheDetroitBureau.com. Instead, the brand, which is ultimately under the command of Fiat/Chrysler CEO, Sergio Marchionne, will likely ditch some of its badge-engineered models, like the Dodge Grand Caravan. A more focused Dodge, which was something Gilles has already hinted at, will likely see it exploring areas of the market that haven't been exploited by other Chrysler brands.
Kuniskis, not surprisingly, wasn't willing to delve into any detailed product plans, telling TDB that the size of the brand's lineup "remains to be seen." Regardless of how big the brand actually ends up being (it is presently Chrysler's volume brand - and not by a little), hopefully the statements from Kuniskiss can put the rumors of a Dodge closure to bed.
California Highway Patrol powers up with Charger Pursuits
Fri, Jul 22 2016Residents of California, you'll want to adjust your rear-view mirrors and remain vigilant for the menacing maw of the Dodge Charger. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) ordered 580 Dodge Charger Pursuit cars to start replacing the organization's oldest vehicles. According to the CHP's director of communications, Fran Clader, these old cars are patrol versions of the Ford Crown Victoria, Ford Explorer and Dodge Charger. The cars will be delivered over the next two years with the majority equipped with Fiat Chrysler's 3.6-liter V6 engine. The unit makes 292 horsepower in the Charger and is found in everything from the Jeep Wrangler to the Chrysler 200. There will be a handful of Chargers with the 5.7-liter V8 found in the Charger R/T, but Dodge and Clader said they will just be used for training. Bick Pratt, head of FCA US government sales and operations, said the order represents a move back toward four-door police cars. "The CHP is ordering our Charger Pursuit vehicle to reintroduce the sedan into their patrol vehicle fleet," Pratt said. "That's important to us because it reflects a shift back to sedans by a progressive agency like the CHP." Chargers may show up in local law enforcement fleets. Pratt said departments will have the opportunity to also order Charger Pursuits through the CHP's contract. So wherever you are in California, if you see that famous crosshair grille in your rear-view mirror, be ready to pull over. Related video:
Preserved truck found at the bottom of frozen lake
Tue, Jan 26 2016A fisherman in central Minnesota pulled more than bluegill and bass out of his local fishing hole earlier this month. While ice fishing on Mayhew Lake, a local man was startled when, using an underwater camera to scout for fish, he discovered a vehicle sitting on the lakebed, the SCTimes reported. He immediately called the Benton County Sheriff's office, which sent deputies to examine the vehicle. Once they arrived, the deputies used their own camera to have a look and discovered a late-90s to early-00s model Dodge Ram pickup in roughly 12 feet of water. The Sheriff's department dive team was then dispatched to search the truck and the area surrounding it for bodies or valuables. The truck was lifted from the lakebed through a huge hole in the ice. The Sheriff's office ran the plates and discovered that it was reported stolen in March of 2000 from a nearby address. Investigators believe that given the truck's location, almost 100 yards from the lake's public access ramp and 25 yards from the north shore, that it was driven on to the lake while it was frozen, then allowed to sink to the bottom once the ice melted. Thanks to the lake's frigid waters, the truck was surprisingly well preserved. Aside from a missing grille, a coating of mud inside, and a patina of rust on the sheet metal, there was little damage to the truck despite its long rest in the lake. With an engine full of lake water and the damage done by roughly sixteen freeze-thaw cycles, the truck will never run again, but its condition is a good testament to the build quality of those old Rams. It certainly held up better than that '57 Plymouth Belvedere they buried in the time capsule under the Tulsa city courthouse.
