2005 Dodge Neon Srt-4 Srt Low Miles! Minor Mods! on 2040-cars
Jamestown, New York, United States
Looking to sell my 2005 dodge neon srt4. Car is in good shape and has only 71,000 miles on it but is my daily driver so its slowly going up. The car is ready to go. just replaced the battery and started because out was starting a little slow. Cranks over and starts quick now! Comes with the factory viper seats which are in awesome condition. Ive never seen a set that are in this good of shape. Minor cracking on drivers seat but its better then any I've seen. Car was originally orange and has been repainted black. Whoever painted it did an awesome job for the most part. The door jams are all flawlessly black, engine bay is black everywhere as well. Around the door handles theres some orange that can be seen and also the front bumpier from stone chips there is a slight bit of orange. The car is lowered on megan racing coil overs. Has an intake and also a built motor but still running stock turbo. Block is painted orange and head cover is powder coated purple. Car has a fuel pressure regulator and also braided line from the tank all the way up. Walbro 255 fuel pump, manual boost controller under the hood, stocl rims painted black. After market tail lights.Has a short throw shifter which is super short throws and very tight bushings, feels great. ONly issue with the car is first gear grinds when downshifting if you are going over like ten miles an hour. Aftermarket clutch as well, not sure of the brand.
Battery has been relocated to the trunk to even out the weight front to rear. Big front mount intercooler, coil pack. Wing holes were professionally filled in when the car was painted. They could be drilled out very easily if you wanted to mount a wing. Car runs awesome. Boosts a steady 15 pounds and holds it, doesn't spike and drop or flutter. Stock wheels painted black, good summer tires on the rear and almost new bridgestone blizzak winter tire on the rear. They were $400 for the two less then two months ago. Call or text 716-708-5264 with any questions or for more pictures. Only reason I'm selling the car is because i just started a screen printing shop and don't need the car or the payment. |

Dodge Viper to out-Hell the Hellcat with supercharged V10?
Wed, 20 Aug 2014The Viper wouldn't be the Viper if it wasn't the most powerful model under the Chrysler umbrella. But with the arrival of the Hellcat engine in the Dodge Charger and Challenger, the Viper has fallen behind in the bragging rights department: where the new supercharged V8 produces 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, the naturally aspirated V10 offers "only" 640 hp and 600 lb-ft - gargantuan output figures by almost any other standard, but crucially behind on the SRT power scale. Conner Avenue is going to have to do something about that.
Although the Hellcat's engine reportedly won't fit under the Viper's hood, SRT is now rumored to have another trick up its sleeve: supercharge the existing V10. According to the Pentastar performance enthusiasts at allpar.com, Chrysler has already taken delivery of the first such prototype engines so that it can begin the process of fitting it into an upgraded Viper.
The spooled ten-pot is tipped to produce around 800 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. More than that and the Viper's drivetrain, chassis and bodywork would have to be substantially reworked. Though beefier transmissions are available, fitting them would reportedly set off a domino-game of changes required to handle the added torque. Which may be something Chrysler would be prepared to do for the next-generation model, but in the meantime, 800 hp could prove enough to put the Viper back atop the Mopar performance ladder where it belongs, and give it an edge against the new Corvette Z06 to rekindle sales.
eBay Find of the Day: 1994 Dodge Viper RT/10 with 504 miles
Tue, 26 Nov 2013It's typically hard to find early examples of the Dodge Viper that haven't been crashed or modified, but one eBay seller has a showroom-fresh version of the V10 roadster up for sale worthy of an eBay Find of the Day.
With just 504 miles on the odometer (according to the description and not the images) and "no defects at all," this 1994 Viper is a rare find indeed. Tack on the Buy It Now price of just $37,500 and it seems like a steal - especially when checking out the prices and conditions of other early Vipers currently listed on eBay.
Even after spending months ogling the all-new 2014 SRT Viper, it's hard to ignore the raw beauty of the original open-top model. From the three-spoke wheels to the calf-searing side pipes, everything about this Viper looks just the way it did when it rolled off the line almost 20 years ago. The seller even says that the top and windows have never been installed meaning there are no scratches anywhere on this car!
'Baby Driver' is a car chase movie set to music
Mon, Mar 13 2017The Fate of the Furious is certainly the 6,000-pound SUV in the garage of automotive movies, but that doesn't mean gearheads are starved for options. The upcoming film Baby Driver looks to be a winner for car guys, featuring exciting chases with cars including a "hawk-eye" Impreza WRX, a Dodge Challenger, and a 1980s Chevy Caprice. The movie is written and directed by Edgar Wright, whom you may know as the man behind movies such as Sean of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. And based on the two trailers released so far, seen above and below, it's about a young man by the name of Baby, who is a getaway driver for criminals. He's apparently the best in the business, and the secret to his success is the music he listens to while he's driving. He also wants out, but his boss, played by Kevin Spacey, has no intention of letting him go. Spacey is one of a number of major stars in the film, including Jamie Foxx and John Hamm. The driving action shown in the trailers definitely looks entertaining. The WRX is seen doing an array of drifts and J-turns. There is some driving precision on display here that wouldn't be out of place in a Gymkhana video. And it looks like Wright's attention to detail in his shots and transitions, as well as some solid comedy relief, are all going to be present. The film comes out this August.
