2004 Dodge Neon Srt-4 Sedan 4-door 2.4l on 2040-cars
Derry, New Hampshire, United States
Used 2004 Dodge Neon SRT-4 that is currently my Daily Driver. Has 111,333 miles on it as of now. In great condition, obviously isn't perfect because it has 111,xxx miles and it is ten years old. But the paint is pretty much flawless otherwise. Just Put a brand new clutch in it about 2,000 miles ago, Have all the paper work for it. Also just put close to $2,000 in the front end to replace control arms, wheel bearings, tires, and ball joints. Brand new brakes all around. Extremely clean inside and out, as I can't stand a dirty car. Have a lot of time and money put into this car, however I am in college and need something more economical and practical as a commuter car for me. Has a ton of extras;
Stage 3R Mopar Turbo Short Ram Intake Big Front Mount AGP Fuel Return Line Greddy B-Spec II Boost Controller HKS SS3 BOV Short Throw Shifter Full 3" Exhaust Brand New Clutch (2,000 miles) 10000k HID Foglights Black 18" SRT4 Rims Tinted Tail Lights Shorty Antenna Much more! |

MotorWeek relives '80s coupes with Dodge Daytona, Ford Escort EXP
Thu, Aug 6 2015Get ready for a wave of nostalgia and the rapid realization of the huge progress in performance cars over the last 30 years. For its latest Retro Review, MotorWeek takes a look back at two, front-wheel drive coupes from the '80s that seem to have entirely vanished from the roads today. Both the 1986 Dodge Daytona CS and the 1986.5 Ford Escort EXP were considered affordable, sporty options in their day, but the passage of time hasn't been kind to either of their specs. The Daytona certainly looks the part of a performance machine with a body that's reminiscent of other '80s coupes, like the third-gen Chevrolet Camaro. However with 146 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque from a 2.2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, acceleration wasn't exactly a strong suit. MotorWeek complained about copious torque steer, as well. The optional CS suspension upgrade package on this Daytona was apparently a nod to Carroll Shelby who was working with Dodge at the time. If anything, the Escort EXP withstands the test of time even worse. As a two-seat coupe, you might have expected Ford's engineers to really turn up the performance to fit the sporty image that the exterior conveyed. That didn't really happen, and depending on which model buyers ordered, they got either 86 horsepower with a 1.9-liter engine or the "high-output" version of that mill with 108 hp.
NHTSA investigating Ram 1500 models for rear differential failure
Mon, 30 Jun 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and its Ram brand following a number of reports regarding the 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. According to 15 consumer complaints, the trucks' rear differential locked up while in other cases, the driveshaft separated at its connection to the diff.
Nearly half of the reports claim the truck was traveling at or above 50 miles per hour, while two consumers reported that the diff lockup/driveshaft separation sent their pickups into a spin. Most troubling, though, is that consumers reported little to no sound indicating there was a problem with their truck.
We reached out to Ram for additional information, such as how many vehicles may be affected or what equipment might be fitted that could cause the issue. Unfortunately, the company wasn't willing to elaborate on specifics.
