For sale is a 2003 SRT-4 with 125,000 miles. If you saw the car it does not look, run, or ride like it has that many miles. Runs great, shifts great, handles awesome, and is quick. Interior is near mint. Driver seat has some wear but no tears. Body is very nice looking except a couple minor things. The rear bumpers paint is flaking off, front facia paint is flaking off and the passenger rear door has a 4'' scratch and is covered with touch up paint. Within the last month the front end and other components were replaced. Front struts, rotator bearings and upper mount plates were replaced with Mopar parts. Tie rod ends, ball joints, and wheel bearings (Timken) were done as well. I replaced the cv shafts, axle shaft seals, and front calipers. Brakes have a lot of life left and rotors are good as well. Fuel pump was done a few months ago. Just replaced the throttle cable. New intake. I just put a stage 3 clutch masters clutch in it, mopar pivot ball, throw out bearing and agp forged clutch fork in it. It shifts very good. I compression tested the motor and every cylinder was 140 psi. Car burns no oil. New battery. Tires have 10,000 miles on them and have a lot of tread left. I just serviced the trans, coolant system, and a/c. There is no rust under this car! Very clean. Modifications include: AGP clutch fork $200.00, Clutch Masters stage 3 6 puck clutch $700.00, Mopar pivot ball $15.00, AGP upper hard pipe with Greddy type RZ blow off valve and Modern Performance block off plate $420.00, AGP direct fit intercooler $460.00, Hurst short throw shifter $200.00, Booger shifter bushings $20.00, triple pillar pod $40.00, AEM digital air fuel gauge and sensor $200.00, AEM digital boost gauge and controller, $303.00Injen short ram intake $200.00, Needs Wings 3'' stainless down pipe with electronic cut out $450.00, Mopar Performance exhaust, dual exit $450.00Eibach 2'' lowering springs, $200.00, Eibach sway bars front and rear $300.00, Polyurethane suspension bushing kit $174.00, AGP waste gate $180.00, Poly urethane motor mount inserts $25.00, 18'' kazera wheels with g force tires $1200, HID kit $150.00, and I am sure there is more and I left it out but there is 6 grand in just colt ons and a couple more in maintenance. Subaru Legacy pitted against Roadkill project cars

Fri, 05 Sep 2014

There's an evergreen debate among auto enthusiasts about whether they would prefer to have the latest and greatest car of today or a certified classic from yesteryear. What if you had to further define that, though, and the choice was between a brand new 2015 Subaru Legacy or a turbocharged Datsun 240Z with a hatch that wouldn't close? Roadkill aimed to find out that and more in one of its best videos to date.
According to the hosts, Subaru came to them, handed over some money and challenged Roadkill's project cars against its latest Legacy. The result is every bit as good (or better) than any automotive-themed show you could find on television.
Things start simple with a figure-eight race in a rodeo arena with the Subaru taking on Roadkill's 1968 Ford Ranchero, originally built for ice racing. From there the Legacy races a 1968 Dodge Charger with no windows around and off-road rally stage. Finally, the Subie goes head-to-head against the Rotsun, the aforementioned turbocharged 240Z, through an abandoned neighborhood. Plus, there's a bonus drag race challenging them all.

Mopar maneuvers into SEMA with a multitude of modified models

Wed, 05 Nov 2014

As the aftermarket and performance arm of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Mopar has a duty to extract everything from the company's models that it can, and there's no better place to show all of its work off than the annual SEMA Show.
Dodge really gets in on the act this year with several customs to show off different parts of the brand's performance heritage. Perhaps the most interesting among them is the track-prepped Viper ACR Concept (pictured above). It wears a custom body kit to produce even more downforce, thanks in no small part to a monstrous wing at the back. To shed weight, most of the interior is stripped out, as well. Next up, the Challenger T/A Concept takes inspiration from '70s Trans-Am racing in a livery of Sublime Green and matte black paint. The center scoop in the hood keeps the 6.4-liter V8 fed with cool air, and the special's 20-by-9.5-inch matte black wheels keep it planted in the corners.
Also getting the once-over from Mopar is the Charger R/T. It wears the division's body kit, and under the hood, a cold-air intake keeps the 5.7-liter V8 breathing. The suspension is retooled to hold the road better with a coil-over kit, upgraded sway bars and strut tower braces for the front and rear. The company is also showing off a snazzy blue Charger with a mean look. The final Dodge getting work from Mopar is the Dart R/T Concept with bright, O-So-Orange paint and a matte black hood with a scoop hooked directly to the air intake. The performance-oriented design is finished off with a coil-over suspension and big brake kit, as well.

2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat [w/videos]

Tue, 22 Jul 2014

Darrell Waltrip once said, "If the lion didn't bite the tamer every once in a while, it wouldn't be exciting." The sentiment behind that aphorism is causing my adrenal gland to wake up as Dodge and SRT drivers and engineers - somber-faced to a man - give me the track talk that will precede my driving the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT on the circuit at Portland International Raceway. PIR might not be Daytona, and the 707-horsepower Challenger Hellcat might seem tame to a legend like ol' Jaws, but there's a not-small part of me that's thinking about how hard Dodge's fire-breathing kitty might bite.
Just a few hours previous, I'd gotten behind the wheel of the Hellcat for the first time, letting its hyperbole-spitting, supercharged V8 Hemi pull me yieldingly through Portland's morning commuter traffic. Lulled into a cocky certainty by the Challenger's good manners at low speed, I drove the throttle just a hair too deep, too fast when I ran on to the highway ramp. For just an instant the rear tires were utterly drenched in torque, and the back end of the big Dodge loosened up like a drift car on a wet track. Throttle steer lives at the fleeting whim of your right foot in this car.
It was no big thing to lay off the gas and pull the Hellcat back in line as I entered the highway, but the incident did get me to thinking: What will this car do to me on a road course?
