2006 Dodge Magnum R/t Wagon 4-door 5.7l With Many Great Modifications And Upgrad on 2040-cars
I am reluctantly letting go of my beautiful baby. I bought a pickup with a camper shell. I would keep this baby forever if I could.

No Accidents. Just over 106,000 miles. Runs like brand new. > I'm the 2nd owner. Carfax is super clean, check for yourself in one of the images or run your own. Service records are great. Has Never broken down, overheated, or given me any mechanical problems. > Color is "Brilliant black crystal" > R/T Model has the HEMI v8 with original stock 340 horsepower and 390lb torque! > MDS technology drops to 4 cylinders when you're driving it lightly and keeping it under 65-70 on the freeway. This saves gas. I have averaged 19 city and 26 highway this way. You don't feel this at all. Hit the gas and it seamlessly goes full power. Just driving like an average Joe you'll probably get 21mpg all together. > 5-speed Shiftable Automatic transmission > Boston Acoustic premium sound system with Auxiliary input for Iphone 4. You can change this. > Factory Navigation system and 6 cd changer > Leather heated driver and passenger seats UPGRADES: More Horsepower! The car has all the upgrades you would probably want to do yourself to a Magnum: > Diablo Tuner! Im including my i-1000 INTUNE brings the car to life, adds horsepower and improves gas efficiency. I use the "cold air intake 91 octane" tune. There are other pre-programmed tunes like the 93 octane for max performance and MPG tune which improves mpg. The programmer lets you completely customize the "feel" of the car. <a href="http://www.amazon.com/DiabloSport-I1000-inTune-Vehicle-Programmer/dp/B0064IU5FW>Costs around $350 alone. read about it here: </a> > Beautiful "DIABLO" black rims running on 20" 245/45/R20 Goodyear RS-A high performance tires. Grip, grip and more grip! Just got them back in June, so plenty of tread left! > Magnaflow Exhaust - sounds awesome! gives you a real v-8 feel but not annoying. there's just a nice "hum" to let you know you have about 400 ponies at your toes. > Volant Cold Air Intake - one of the best you can get for the Magnum. Sucks air from the bottom of the car so avoids hot engine air. I have extra filter cleaning kit. <a href="http://store.newlevelmotorsports.com/vocoairin20c18.html>read about id here: </a> > Billet Oil Catch-Can > 170 degree thermostat keeps the engine cooler. > Honeycomb style chrome grill in front gives it a unique look. > Large R/T badge so your RT stands out! Other things you want to know: I only use Mobil 1 Extended performance I have mainly used the car on long Highway trips, 90% highway miles. I have not abused or neglected the car. She's my baby! The car as normal road wear for an 06. Minor scratches and scuffs here and there. The inside is emaculate! I had the right-front tire-rod changed back in July just as a precaution. Firestone said it was loose. Local pick up only. |

Dodge recalls 27k Darts for bracket that can disrupt transmission module
Thu, Sep 17 2015Dodge is recalling 27,520 examples of the 2013-2015 Dart with dual-clutch gearboxes. The mounting bracket for the transmission control module can affect the part's operation and cause the compacts to suddenly shift into neutral. According to the automaker, 23,688 of them are in the US, 3,376 in Canada, 5 in Mexico, and 451 elsewhere. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports these examples carry build dates between February 24, 2012, and June 16, 2015. There are also no reports of accidents or injuries. Because of the way the bracket is mounted, the part can put too much force on the control module's circuit board and cause it to shift out of gear. The engine and airbags remain operable if this happens. To fix things, dealers will install a redesigned mount and replacement module. Related Video: Statement: Mounting Bracket September 14, 2015 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - FCA US LLC is recalling an estimated 23,688 cars in the U.S. to replace certain control modules and mounting brackets that may contribute to a loss of motive power. The Company is unaware of any related injuries or accidents. An FCA US investigation prompted by a small number of warranty claims discovered a control-module mounting bracket may apply too much force and disrupt the function of a circuit board within the module. This condition, unique to certain cars equipped with dual dry-clutch transmissions (DDCT), may cause the transmission to shift into neutral. However, the engine remains on and the vehicle's air-bags, as well as other safety features, are unaffected. The condition may also be preceded by the illumination of a dashboard warning light. Customers who observe this are urged to contact their dealers. The campaign is limited to certain 2013-2015 Dodge Darts equipped with DDCTs. Additional vehicles will be recalled in Canada (3,376), Mexico (five) and outside the NAFTA region (451). Affected customers will be advised when they may schedule service, which will be performed free of charge. Service will entail installation of a redesigned mounting bracket and replacement of the control module. Customers with additional questions may call the FCA US Customer Information Center at 1-800-853-1403.
2.1 million vehicles recalled again over faulty airbags
Sat, Jan 31 2015Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Honda and Toyota will recall 2.1 million vehicles to fix faulty airbag modules "after the manufacturers' original attempts to fix the defects proved ineffective in some vehicles." These vehicles had all previously been recalled, but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that the airbags could still potentially malfunction. This recall will cover Acura MDX, Dodge Viper, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Honda Odyssey, Pontiac Vibe, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Matrix and Toyota Avalon models made in the early 2000s. NHTSA has reportedly received about 40 reports of airbag deployment in such vehicles, even though the vehicle had not been involved in a crash. Roughly one million of these same vehicles, all from Honda and Toyota, are also subject to recalls due to faulty Takata airbag modules, though this particular recall is for "an electronic component manufactured by TRW" that is separate from the actual airbags from Takata. According to NHTSA Administrator Mark Rosekind: "This is unfortunately a complicated issue for consumers, who may have to return to their dealer more than once. But this is an urgent safety issue, and all consumers with vehicles covered by the previous recalls should have that remedy installed. Even though it's a temporary solution until the new remedy is available, they and their families will be safer if they take the time to learn if their vehicle is covered and follow their manufacturers' instructions. A hassle is much better than a family tragedy." If you're the owner of an affected car, expect to hear more from the official automaker and government channels in short order. In the meantime, we'd suggest getting your car checked and fixed at your local dealer. The official statement and recall information can be found below. Previously Recalled Vehicle Remedies Not Working as Designed; NHTSA Announces Follow up Recall of 2.12 Million Cars and SUVs Saturday, January 31, 2015 Contact: Gordon Trowbridge, 202-366-9550, Public.Affairs@dot.gov WASHINGTON – U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx announced today the recall of more than 2.12 million Acura, Dodge, Jeep, Honda, Pontiac, and Toyota vehicles for a defect that may cause airbags to deploy inadvertently. The recalls will provide vehicle owners with a new remedy after the manufacturers' original attempts to fix the defects proved ineffective in some vehicles.
SRT back to Dodge, Dart SRT, new Challenger, Charger and Caravan's death outlined in 5-yr plan
Tue, 06 May 2014The onslaught of news from Fiat Chrysler's layout of five-year plans continued with Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis this morning, including the unexpected announcement that SRT was coming back into the fold.
After just a few years existing as an independent entity within the Fiat Chrysler universe, an unceremonious press release hit in conjunction with today's lineup of announcements, saying "the SRT family of vehicles will be consolidated under the Dodge brand." Group CEO Sergio Marchionne thanked SRT headman Ralph Gilles for his dedication to the high-performance wing, calling out is efforts in expanding the vehicle lineup and including more customized models. He did not reference disappointing SRT Viper sales today, but we sense there's a bit of subtext.
With the SRT reunion at Dodge, it's appropriate that some of the most exciting product announcements for the next five years have to do with upcoming performance products. First out of the gate will be a refresh for that flagging Viper in 2015, which comes as little surprise.
