Model Overview: The Grand Caravan SXT has a 197-hp, 3.8-liter V6. The SXT has a 6-speed automatic, which was a first for minivans when it debuted in the Grand Caravan. ABS, TPMS, multi-stage front air bags and supplemental side curtain air bags for all three rows of seats are standard equipment. The SXT trim levels contributed to its across-the-board 5-star safety ratings from the NHTSA. The electronic stability program is standard on the SXT. The long wheelbase affords plenty of seating configurations. The second row bucket seats are Stow 'n' Go that fold flat into the floor. Third row seat also folds flat into floor. This package comes with in-floor storage. Standard 3-zone climate control minimizes arguments between the front and rear seats. The SXT adds a few more niceties, especially for the driver, such as a leather-wrapped shift knob and multi-function steering wheel, power-adjustable pedals, an upgraded instrument cluster, and a driver and passenger side power sliding doors. 2014 Dodge Dart Blacktop hits the pavement ahead of Detroit

Dodge is getting ready to spread the Blacktop-themed love to the smallest member of its lineup. Last year, the automaker offered up Blacktop versions of the Avenger, Challenger, Charger, Durango, Grand Caravan and Journey. And now the Dart, too, gets its dark on for 2014, with the $295 package offered on Dart SXT models equipped with the Rallye Appearance Group. The Dart Blacktop will make its debut at the Detroit Auto Show next week.
As with the other Blacktop special-edition models, the Dart Blacktop gets glossy black accents for a "sporty, sinister look." The blacked-out treatment spreads across the 18-inch wheels to the crosshair grille, grille surround and headlamp bezels. The interior sees a similar treatment, with black and light tungsten or black and ruby red cloth to go with red accent stitching on the instrument panel, center console and seat bolsters.
For the 2014 model year, all Dart SXT and Limited models receive the 2.4-liter MultiAir2 Tigershark engine with 184 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque, and since the Blacktop is based on the SXT, that's the powerplant buyers of this special-edition will get, too. Expect the 2014 Dart Blacktop to hit dealers in the first quarter, and while you're waiting, feel free to read more in the official press release below.

2015 Dodge Viper price drops $15k for 2015

We recently saw updated specs and new trims of the 2015 Viper, but it looks like the folks at Dodge were saving the biggest surprise for last. Prices on all levels of the American sports car are seeing an immediate, across-the-board price cut of $15,000; even 2014 models still remaining on dealer lots.
The new MSRP for the 2015 Viper in its base SRT trim now starts at $84,995, and when the TA and GTS come to the lineup later next year, they start at $100,995 and $107,995, respectively. The move seems like a swing for the fences that might help to quell slow sales.
Obviously, current Viper owners might be somewhat peeved that their investment was just re-priced by the company. However, to assuage some of their concerns, Dodge is giving all fifth-gen owners a certificate worth $15,000 towards the purchase of a new one, which comes in addition to the price reduction.
