2007 Dodge Grand Caravan Wheelchair / Mobility / Handicap Ramp Van No Reserve on 2040-cars
Perrysburg, Ohio, United States
Selling for my dad. He no longer needs this vehicle. He owned it for over 5 years. No Reserve. I'm trying to be as descriptive as I can. There might be something that I missed. Feel free to ask me questions and I will try to respond quickly. I always feel when I read an ad the person selling it mostly focuses on what is good. Never the bad. Where the good should be the norm and the focus should be on what is wrong since every car even brand new ones might have atleast a scratch. This van is average to good shape in my opinion for what it does and its age. The few things that are wrong with it, I have been told are common on that body style Grand Caravan. Here are the things that I personally noticed and I tried to take pictures of. The bad. There is a little rust starting on the bottom of the sliding doors. I have heard that it is a common thing on the Dodge Caravan. This van is dirty. I took the pictures at my dads. Outside of a quick lysol wipe of the dash the van was not washed. The hood has rust on the edges. Also was told that on the hood it is very common for it to rust. One of the headlights has that watery thing on the inside. Not sure what that is called. It still works good. The rear bumper has little black spots and the corner of the rear bumper on the passenger side is dented. Some minor scratches here and there. Its a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan with a 3.3L engine that runs good. Gets good mpg. Comfortable van even on long road trips. Really nice silver color that makes it stand out. It has an easy pull out manual ramp on the side for a wheel chair. The floor is factory lowered to accomodate a wheel chair. Heat and A/C work great. Has rear air. Power windows and doors. Power seat. Keyless entry. Dependable. No major dents. Great wheelchair van for the price of no reserve. Selling As Is. Will be sold No Reserve. Hoping it goes to someone special. Please no dealers, car flippers, scammers or shippers. There is a million vehicles out there that you can make money on. Mobility dealers already ask 15-25k for similar vehicles to this one. And 40 plus thousand for new ones. Let this one go to someone who truly needs it and that can't afford the huge markup. Please do not bid if you do not intend to buy. As a sound decision in life. Bid what you can afford. Its not brand new, but its not bad. Thanks for reading. Almost forgot, if you would like to come out and test drive it before the auction ends. Please email me and we can try to set something up. Preferably in the morning.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
2015 Dodge Challenger SRT 392
Mon, Mar 9 2015I've just started reading the third installment in a planned five-book biography of Lyndon Baines Johnson, Master of the Senate, written by the incomparable Robert Caro. Conveniently, a recent trip to drive the BMW X6 M and 228i Convertible was to be staged in Austin, TX, within easy driving distance of LBJ's birthplace, Johnson City. And yes, the city is named for his family. Having completed my duties with the Bimmers, I borrowed the spangled 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT 392 you see above, to squire me around the Texas capitol for a weekend, and as a lift out to the Hill Country homestead of our 36th President. Johnson City isn't exactly a road trip mecca, but there's a pretty good brewery, a museum, the reconstructed LBJ house to take snapshots of, and it's a nice drive to get out there if you've got a 485-horsepower muscle car at your disposal. Driving Notes With the heroic Hellcat, this 392 and the R/T Scat Pack (that Brandon Turkus reviewed recently), there are more SRT-treated Challengers to choose from than ever before. There are 707 obvious reasons that the Hellkitty is the top dog (as it were), but there are important difference between this 392 and the Scat Pack, too. Both cars make use of the 6.4-liter Hemi V8 putting out 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque, but the 392 also gets an adaptive suspension, six-piston Brembo brake calipers (instead of four-piston), wider tires, leather and Alcantara seats, a heated steering wheel, a louder stereo and HID headlights. When LBJ was campaigning for his seat in the House of Representatives, he would've loved to have something as potent as this monster of a V8 under the hood of his canvassing car. The 6.4L snorts with authority before it sends the big coupe forward to just about any speed I'd ask of it, and with a quickness. Johnson was known for haranguing drivers to step on it, when all that stood between himself and a few more votes was the ability to fit one more stump speech into the day. The 392 feels as though it could cover a quarter of the state of Texas in a morning if you throttle down deep enough (faster even than the Johnson City Windmill, I'd guess). Though there's a six-speed manual available, I'm actually quite fond of the eight-speed automatic in the 392. The two-pedal setup better suits the fast-cruiser attitude of the car, and it never served up any poorly conceived shift logic when I left it in D. Of course, the roads are better now than they were in the 1930s and 40s, too.
Dodge rolls out Shaker package for 2015 Challenger
Mon, Feb 16 2015Having an awesome Hemi engine under the hood can deliver impressive performance, but for those who lament not being able to see that big V8 engine doing its thing, hidden away under the hood, Dodge offers the Shaker hood on its Challenger muscle car. And it's just released the option for the updated 2015 model. Now available on two engines and three trim levels – including the Challenger R/T and R/T Plus with the 5.7-liter V8 and the 6.4-liter Challenger 392 – the new Shaker hood brings cold air into the engine compartment and lets everyone see that V8 (or at least an appendage thereof) shaking away in plain view. Arriving 45 years after the original Shaker Challenger, the package includes a satin black hood scoop, cold-air intake, conical air filter and optimized air box, along with Shaker graphics inside, out and under the hood. The 2015 Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker and R/T Plus Shaker are available to order now, priced at $35,495 and $38,495, respectively (plus a $995 destination charge), and come bundled with the Super Track Pak. Order books open in March for the 392 HEMI Shaker, which also comes with the Scat Pack, for $42,495 (plus destination and $1,000 gas-guzzler tax if equipped with the manual transmission).
