Buy with confidence from a seller with a 100% positive feedback rating and a born and raised here in Kansas. I will deliver this van to Wichita, KC, or OKC airports free of charge Drive in and fly home. I know buying a vehicle that you've never seen or driven can be intimidating so I am willing to split the cost of having this van inspected before you buy. There are many companies that will come out and do a thorough check and pics of the van, just Google "vehicle inspections". I'll split the cost with the first person to have an inspection done (up to $150= $75 each). How many other sellers offer that? I also know the thought of shipping is scary. I've personally delivered vans to Dallas, OKC, Houston, St Louis, Denver, so talk to me about shipping, I also have very affordable nationwide shippers ($300 to Dallas and $995 to Florida).

2007 Dodge Grand Caravan SE with the Braun Companion Van handicap wheelchair ramp conversion package. The Braun Companion Van conversion is great for someone that will always have an attendant with them.  One of the great things about this conversion is the sliding door and the ramp are both manually operated.  This means less things to go wrong and cost money in the future!  The door and ramp are both VERY easy to operate. I equate it to picking up a half gallon of milk off the ground.  The ramp is spring loaded to help you raise and lower it with very little effort.  The ramp itself is rated to 800 lbs capacity and is 29 3/4" wide.  The door entryway is 53 1/2" tall and the interior is 57 1/2" tall.  The Companion Van conversion lowers just the center area of the van floor.  It alllows you to carry 5 people seated and one wheelchair.   The van does have dual sliding doors, so that you can enter/exit without having to lower the ramp.  There are also wheelchair anchoring points in the center area and 1 set of wheelchair anchoring straps are included.   Someone could also park their scooter in the center area and then move to the driver's seat, if they were able to walk that distance.  The Companion Van series offers a lot of mobility with out all the price or liability of power equipment breaking

This van is equipped with 3.3 liter V-6 engine (19mpg city 25mpg hwy), automatic transmission, and brand new Goodyear tires.  The van has 126,032 miles on it.  Autocheck verifies the clean title, actual mileage, and just 2 owners on this one.  This van has been in Florida it's entire life.  It has NO RUST and NO paintwork (except of course the ground effects and such that were painted when the van was converted).  The body is very straight.  You will have to hunt to even find a minor "door ding" on this van.  The paint is still very nice as well.  There are some small rock chips and such if you look really close, but nothing else that stands out.  The tires are BRAND NEW.  The van has NEVER been smoked in.  .  This van also has power windows, power locks, front and rear air conditioning, tilt, cruise, am/fm/cd player and rear wiper.  The interior of the van shows virtually no wear at all.  There are no holes, tears or rips anywhere in the carpet, headliner or cloth seats.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call me or email. Bring us your trade we'll work with you to get you a fair trade-in towards this very nice van. For more information contact Jeremiah at (3l6)262-8267.

Dodge hoping Fast & Furious appearance gives Dart a sales jolt [w/video]

Tue, 28 May 2013

According to Automotive News, Chrysler is hoping Fast & Furious 6 will be kind to the Dodge Dart. While the compact sedan doesn't actually show up in the film, Dodge has partnered up with the movie franchise for a new ad featuring the Dart.
Chrysler hasn't exactly seen the high sales numbers it was originally hoping for with the new sedan, thanks in part to a couple of missteps. For starters, most early-production vehicles were only offered with a manual transmission. Analysts believe Chrysler squandered around 95 percent of potential Dart sales because automatic transmission options weren't immediately available.
Right now, the Dodge Dart rakes 19th among compact cars, pulling down 31,064 sales through April. Last month was the company's strongest, with 8,099 units moving off of dealer lots. Unfortunately, the model has also been handicapped by its older sister, the Avenger. With Chrysler throwing heavy incentives at the aging sedan, many consumers have taken advantage of a better deal with the slightly larger, more powerful Avenger.

China-FCA merger could be a win-win for everyone but politicians

Tue, Aug 15 2017

NEW YORK — Fiat Chrysler boss Sergio Marchionne has said the car industry needs to come together, cut costs and stop incinerating capital. So far, his words have mostly fallen on deaf ears among competitors in Europe and North America. But it appears Marchionne has finally found a receptive audience — in China. FCA shares soared Monday after trade publication Automotive News reported the $18 billion Italian-American conglomerate controlled by the Agnelli family rebuffed a takeover from an unidentified carmaker from the Chinese mainland. As ugly as the politics of such a combination may appear at first blush, a transaction could stack up industrially, and perhaps even financially. A Sino-U.S.-European merger would create the first truly global auto group. That could push consolidation to the next level elsewhere. Moreover, China is the world's top market for the SUVs that Jeep effectively invented, so it might benefit FCA financially. A combo would certainly help upgrade the domestic manufacturer; Chinese carmakers have gotten better at making cars, but struggle to build global brands, and they need to develop export markets. Though frivolous overseas shopping excursions by Chinese enterprises are being reined in by Beijing, acquisitions that support the modernization and transformation of strategic industries still receive support, and the government considers the automotive industry to be strategic. A purchase of FCA by Guangzhou Automobile, Great Wall or Dongfeng Motors would probably get the same stamp of approval ChemChina was given for its $43 billion takeover of Syngenta. What's standing in the way? Apart from price (Automotive News said FCA's board deemed the offer insufficient) there's the not-insignificant matter of politics. Even as FCA shares soared, President Donald Trump interrupted his vacation to instruct the U.S. Trade Representative to look into whether to investigate China's trade policies on intellectual property. Seeing storied Detroit brands like Jeep, Chrysler, Ram and Dodge handed off to a Chinese company would provoke howls among Trump's economic-nationalist supporters. It might not play well in Italy, either, to see Alfa Romeo and Maserati answering to Wuhan instead of Turin — though Automotive News said they might be spun off separately. Yet, as Morgan Stanley observes, "cars don't ship across oceans easily," and political considerations increasingly demand local manufacture of valuable products.

Stellantis invests more than $100 million in California lithium project

Thu, Aug 17 2023

Stellantis said it would invest more than $100 million in California's Controlled Thermal Resources, its latest bet on the direct lithium extraction (DLE) sector amid the global hunt for new sources of the electric vehicle battery metal. The investment by the Chrysler and Jeep parent announced on Thursday comes as the green energy transition and U.S. Inflation Reduction Act have fueled concerns that supplies of lithium and other materials may fall short of strong demand forecasts. DLE technologies vary, but each aims to mechanically filter lithium from salty brine deposits and thus avoid the need for open pit mines or large evaporation ponds, the two most common but environmentally challenging ways to extract the battery metal. Stellantis, which has said half of its fleet will be electric by 2030, also agreed to nearly triple the amount of lithium it will buy from Controlled Thermal, boosting a previous order to 65,000 metric tons annually for at least 10 years, starting in 2027. "This is a significant investment and goes a long way toward developing this key project," Controlled Thermal CEO Rod Colwell said in an interview. The company plans to spend more than $1 billion to separate lithium from superhot geothermal brines extracted from beneath California's Salton Sea after flashing steam off those brines to spin turbines that will produce electricity starting next year. That renewable power is expected to cut the amount of carbon emitted during lithium production. Rival Berkshire Hathaway has struggled to produce lithium from the same area given large concentrations of silica in the brine that can form glass when cooled, clogging pipes. Colwell said a $65 million facility recently installed by Controlled Thermal can remove that silica and other unwanted metals. DLE equipment licensed from Koch Industries would then remove the lithium. "We're very happy with the equipment," he said. "We're going to deliver. There's just no doubt about it." Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares called the Controlled Thermal partnership "an important step in our care for our customers and our planet as we work to provide clean, safe and affordable mobility." Both companies declined to provide the specific investment amount. Controlled Thermal aims to obtain final permits by October and start construction of a commercial lithium plant soon thereafter, Colwell said. Goldman Sachs is leading the search for additional debt and equity financing, he added.
