1975 Dodge Dart Swinger, 2-door, 318 V-8, Automatic on 2040-cars
Lakewood, California, United States
1975 Dodge Dart Swinger, 2 door. 318 V-8, Auto trans, 8 1/4 rear with 2.45 gears. Power steering, power disc brakes. Completely rebuilt front suspension. Car is nice.
Car is pre-smog. No smog checks needed ever so you can modify anything you want under the hood. This car drives really nice and I would drive it anywhere and have driven it everywhere. 300 mile round trips from Lakewood, CA. to Tehachapi and back with no problems. 250 mile round trip to Santa Barbara and back with zero problems. Countless trips to Hemet to visit family with zero defects. This is a great driving car. Under the hood is a V-8, 318-2 barrell with electronic ignition. Engine is completely stock. Did an oil change about a month ago with 20w50 oil. Runs perfect. Carb has been professionally rebuilt and works great. Choke on 2 barrell carb works perfect on cold mornings. Car idles and runs great. Automatic transmission. Just had transmission serviced with new filter and fluid and adjusted the bands about 2 months ago. The 8 1/4 rear with 2.45 gears is like having an overdrive. Car cruises at 75mph on the freeway all day long at low rpm because of rear gear ratio. Car has power steering and power disc brakes that work great. The front suspension has been completely rebuilt and aligned. The heater works great. Blows very hot. All gauges work. All lights work. Wipers work. Everything works. Car has new carpet and new seats front and rear. Upholstery is new on all seats. Door panels and armrests are in great shape. I converted the car from a white and brown interior to an all black interior with new kick panels and door uppers too and it looks really good. Even has a new dash pad in it. I added a Pioneer stereo, AM/FM with CD player and plug in for ipod to play through. Plus 4 new Speakers, 6 x 9's in rear and 5 inch speakers in front. Has 15 inch Crager wheels with very good tires. 2 1/4 inch dual exhaust with Thrush mufflers. Not loud at all but you won't mistake it for a slant six either. Car sounds nice like a cruiser should. Entire trunk has been sprayed with Rhino Liner truck bed liner to protect it from rust. The trunk is very solid. All in all this is a great car. It could use a repaint. It was painted 7 years ago and has been outside it's whole life, but the body is really straight and it would be easy work. I am only selling the car because my wife wants a car with A/C before this summer gets here and this car will be my down payment once I sell it. I really hate to part with it because it is such a good driving car but I have to. Hopefully someone will buy it and take good care of it and enjoy it as much as I have. Please send me a message if you have any questions, Mike. |

Chrysler teases upcoming outlay of SEMA cars
Wed, 15 Oct 2014Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is hauling a multitude of modified models to the annual SEMA show in Las Vegas this November, and the company is releasing the first teasing sketches of many of them.
Unfortunately, FCA isn't giving many solid details on any of the concepts other than saying the vehicles from Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Fiat all benefit from tuning from its Mopar performance brand. The teaser photos include a sinister-looking Chrysler 200S, Fiat 500 Abarth with two-tone paint and a scorpion on the hood, a red and black 500L, seemingly two different takes on the Jeep Renegade, a green Dodge Challenger wearing the T/A badge, an orange and black Dart, a very neon Charger, just the outline of a red and black Viper, a Ram ProMaster in Mopar livery and a Ram pickup called the Outdoorsman.
Take a look through the gallery to see what you think of the sketches for these concepts, and scroll down for the full announcement from FCA.
NHTSA investigating Ram 1500 models for rear differential failure
Mon, 30 Jun 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and its Ram brand following a number of reports regarding the 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. According to 15 consumer complaints, the trucks' rear differential locked up while in other cases, the driveshaft separated at its connection to the diff.
Nearly half of the reports claim the truck was traveling at or above 50 miles per hour, while two consumers reported that the diff lockup/driveshaft separation sent their pickups into a spin. Most troubling, though, is that consumers reported little to no sound indicating there was a problem with their truck.
We reached out to Ram for additional information, such as how many vehicles may be affected or what equipment might be fitted that could cause the issue. Unfortunately, the company wasn't willing to elaborate on specifics.
2016 Dodge Viper ACR priced from $117,895
Tue, May 12 2015Fancy getting your hands on the all-new Dodge Viper ACR? Prepare to shell out at least $117,895, not counting destination or gas-guzzler tax. Those two add $1,995 and $2,100, respectively, for an out-the-door price of $121,990. That's $32,900 more than a base 2015 Viper, or the equivalent of a Challenger with a few options. As we explained previously, the ACR model doesn't do much for outright power – the 8.4-liter V10 offers up only five more ponies than before – but it does add suspension and aerodynamic upgrades that make this particular Viper far more potent on the track. The order books are officially open for the ACR, so if you've got the coin, get in touch with your local dealer. Until then, head into Comments and let us know what you think of the ACR's pricing. Would you shell out $118,000 for the ultimate Viper? DODGE OPENS ORDER BANKS FOR NEW 2016 DODGE VIPER ACR The fastest street-legal Viper track car ever offers a tremendous value for performance May 12, 2015 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - Viper enthusiasts with the need for ultimate handling, performance and road course domination, as well as the ability to drive their Viper home from the track, can now place their orders for the fastest street-legal Viper track car ever. The Dodge brand has announced pricing and opened order banks for the recently introduced 2016 Dodge Viper ACR. Unveiled last week at the revamped Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit, the American Club Racer model of the iconic, hand-built American supercar will have a starting U.S. Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $117,895 (excluding destination and gas guzzler tax). "Bringing our street-legal Dodge Viper ACR back is going to arm our track enthusiasts with the ultimate weapon to dominate road courses across the country," said Tim Kuniskis, President and CEO - Dodge and SRT Brands, FCA - North America. "This is without a doubt the best Viper ACR ever. The latest in aerodynamic, braking and tire technology will ensure its legendary performance reputation around the world." Originally introduced in 1999 and last available for the 2010 model year, the Viper ACR has a long-standing legacy as the ultimate street-legal track car for club racing. The new 2016 model honors that performance legacy with significant aerodynamic and suspension upgrades, new Carbon Ceramic brakes with six-piston calipers and high-performance tires specifically designed for ACR.
