1973 Dodge Dart Swinger, 318,matching numbers,93,250 original miles, all original glass, ice cold factory ac,power steering, shoulder harnesses, excellent dash, door panels, steering wheel. Has AM radio that sounds crisp and clear, gauges, lights and buzzers work like new, except the gas gauge needs new sensor. This car drives like new, brakes straight sounds cool, this is truly a great driving car, I just drove it to Arizona and back was a great ride and cold ac, with plenty of smooth, strong power. No rattles, noises of any kind.
One owner car that was stored since 1989 in climate controlled garage after owner had passed away. I purchased it last year and had Mopar specialist COMPLETELY go through this cool car. New everything including brakes, tires, shocks, rebuilt carb, all fluids changed, battery, freeze plugs, tune up,filters, diff fluid, fuel lines, brake lines, vacuum lines etc, etc.. No expense spared, all work done correctly.I'm sure I forgot some things but you get the idea.
This car is a time capsule SURVIVOR, still wears original paint and interior, has some bumps and bruises, and interior is showing its age, but looks great with brand new BFG Goodrich radial tires with original Mopar Dog Dish hubcaps, the original hull hubcaps are included. Look at the trunk pictures absolutely RUST FREE, with all factory markings, etc., fantastic survivor or original reference car. The bilge sheet is stuck to driver floorboard, and didn't want to try to remove, have owners manual tire jack and handle, need a spare though. The weatherstripping is soft and intact and subtle, trunk and floor pans are unbelievable! Wiring is flexible and like new as is the dash, steering wheel, etc.. I saved the old parts. During the job my mechanic found that the original matching tranny would not go into drive, reverse, low gear, were fine so my mechanic had the same f4 tranny at his shop and was installed in the car, already rebuilt, The original tranny comes with this car. This is a very rare car, there can't be many as original and as nice as this, it is a great cruiser with great street presence, VERY LOW RESERVE.

Values snowball for legendary Tucker Sno-Cats, latest toys of the super rich
Fri, Jan 5 2018Here's a fun-sounding vehicle perfect for the cold and snow that's currently gripping much of North America. Tucker — no, not that Tucker — just marked its 75th anniversary making the Sno-Cat, its orange-painted, four-tread snow vehicles that have inspired backcountry skiers, collectors — and increasingly, the super rich. Bloomberg in a recent story writes that demand for the Medford, Ore.-based company's products is soaring on demand from the wealthy, who need a way to get to their backcountry mountain retreats. They're also in demand from collectors and gearheads who also love snow, like two anonymous collectors who are believed to have amassed more than 200 vintage Sno-Cats. The value of vintage models has reportedly tripled in the past five years to well over $100,000 for a fully restored rig. Tucker Sno-Cat Corp. claims to be the world's oldest surviving snow vehicle manufacturer, launched by E.M. Tucker in 1942 out of a desire to design a vehicle for traveling over the kind of deep, soft snow found in the Rogue River Valley of his childhood. It was four Tucker Sno-Cat machines that helped English explorer Vivian Fuchs and his 12-man party make the first 2,158-mile overland crossing of Antarctica in 1957-58. While many of the company's competitors either shuttered or adapted to serving ski resorts with wider, heavier treads, Tucker has stuck to its formula of making lightweight vehicles to travel over deep snow. Many Tuckers use Chrysler's flat six-cylinder engine, or its Dodge Hemi V8 for larger Sno-Cats, mounted rear or centrally, with basic, no-frills aluminum cabins. Sno-Cats all have four articulating tracks that are independently sprung, powered and pivoted at the drive axle. Track options come in three different types: conventional steel grouser belt track, rubber-coated aluminum grouser belt track, and one-piece all-rubber track. Steering is hydraulically controlled by pivoting the front and rear axles for smooth movement over undulating terrain with minimal disturbance of the ground cover. The company today makes 75 to 100 Sno-Cats a year for customers including the U.S. military, oil-drilling crews in cold places like Alaska and North Dakota, and utilities. But demand is so high that it's launched a profitable service reselling and refurbishing old machines. E.M. Tucker's grandson, Jeff McNeil, now head of this division, scours Google Earth for abandoned Sno-Cats rusting in backyards that he might be able to acquire and fix up.
Chrysler minivans under investigation for stalling after fuel refill
Wed, 10 Sep 2014According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, at least one man has reported that his 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan stalled unexpectedly on the highway shortly after being refueled. The unidentified man who contacted NHTSA regarding the issue cited as many as eight similar instances reported by other drivers.
NHTSA has announced that it will launch an inquiry into this issue, which could affect as many as 160,000 minivans from Dodge and Chrysler that were sold in 2007 (or more, if a problem is found that extends to additional models years, we'd assume). As of yet, there's no formal investigation, let alone a recall, on these vans, as the agency is merely determining if further action is needed.
Two months ago, Chrysler recalled nearly 700,000 vehicles, the majority of which were minivans, from the 2008-2010 model years to replace ignition switches after an investigation found that their weak springs and detent positions could fool a driver into thinking the car was in the "Run" position, when it's actually in the "Accessory" position.
Will airbags sandbag the 2017 Dodge Viper?
Thu, Jan 14 2016The Dodge Viper is speeding down the road to cancellation for the 2017 model year, and at least part of the reason for the V10 monster's death is a problem fitting it with federally mandated side curtain airbags. An anonymous source close to FCA US told Motor Trend the automaker can't install the parts because they would further limit the coupe's already tight headroom. The government believes the side curtain airbags can reduce occupant ejections during accidents, and all vehicles must have them for the 2017 model year. The Viper's slow sales also don't provide FCA US much motivation to work out a solution to this problem. The automaker moved just 676 of the handmade sports coupes in the US in 2015, which was down 11 percent from 760 deliveries in 2014. FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne hinted at the Detroit Auto Show that the Viper could return eventually. He doesn't like that the current model has a dedicated platform but indicated a new one could share the underpinnings with another of the company's products. Marchionne's current business plan for FCA stresses building the automaker's value, so it might be a while before we see the sweater-clad CEO focusing on a niche vehicle like the Viper.
