1972 Dodge Dart Swinger Hardtop 2-door 360 Motor W/ 727 Trans on 2040-cars
Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, United States
You are bidding on a 1972 Dodge Dart Swinger 2 door hardtop. I am selling the vehicle as is. Recently swapped in a mild built 360 motor with a 727 trans with a full manual valve body. Motor runs great and has excellent oil pressure! Transmission shifts nice and hard. Vehicle has stock 4 wheel drum brakes, fuel cell in trunk with a new fuel system (Aeromotive electric fuel pump, filters, and regulator. New fuel lines/hoses run too), MSD ignition system, Holley 3310 carb, Sealed Power hypereutectic pistons (9's compression), Crane camshaft (PN 693902 cam card included), Powermaster 75amp alternator, TTI headers with TTI H-pipe Flowmaster 40 Delta mufflers with dumps, and mild stall converter (still street friendly).
Interior is pretty much stock except aftermarket bucket seats with harnesses, some aftermarket gauges, newer carpet, and B&M Pro Stick shifter. Exterior: As far as i know it still has stock original paint (engine bay has been re-painted) and it's still in great condition minus a small dent in the passenger side lower door (in pictures), a couple of small chips, small ding on deck lid (also in pictures), and a couple of holes in the vinyl top on the C pillars (also in pictures). I purchased the car back around 1999 with those imperfections already on the vehicle. They were too mild and small to bother me. Car still shines and looks great! Gets lots of attention! I still drive it on nice days (no winters) and is garage kept when not driving it. Great car! Thank you for looking. PAYMENTS... Due to PayPal fees I prefer bank checks, cash, or wire transfers. If you would like to use PayPal the buyer must pay the fees associated with a PayPal transaction. I will not release the vehicle until the payment has cleared. If paying with a bank check or wire transfer a non-refundable deposit of $250.00 will have to be made via PayPal within 24 hours of winning the auction. I wait for all payments to clear before releasing the vehicle!!! SHIPPING... Buyer is responsible for shipping costs. Pick-up is available if local. |

Fiat brand chief reassigned then resigns amid flagging sales
Tue, Oct 13 2015Jason Stoicevich was replaced as head of the Fiat brand in North America just the other day. He was immediately reassigned to another job within Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. But according to Automotive News, Stoicevich quit the new job – and the company altogether – the very next day. The development comes amidst flagging sales for the Fiat brand in America. The introduction of the awkward-looking 500L multi-purpose vehicle has been largely regarded as a sales disaster in the US. Despite having just introduced the new 500X into the growing crossover market, and an overall upward trend across FCA group sales, the Fiat brand's figures have been dropping all year. While the Italian brand's volume has fluctuated from month to month compared to last year's sales, the number of cars its dealers sells on an average day has been firmly in decline. Fiat's downward trend reflects a general tendency in the market towards larger vehicles at the expense of smaller ones. However, the powers that be in Auburn Hills evidently felt that a change of leadership was in order, so it placed Dodge chief Tim Kuniskis in charge of all the company's mass-market passenger-car brands – namely Dodge, Chrysler, and Fiat – and moved Stoicevich to running the group's fleet and small-business operations. Stoicevich remained in charge of the company's California Business Center, but it seems as though he was as dissatisfied with the switch as his superiors were with the performance of the brand over which he presided, and so he apparently elected to step down and leave the company.
Chrysler extending production of current Dodge Avenger, Jeep Wrangler, Grand Caravan
Wed, 24 Jul 2013Are you hesitant to pull the trigger on a brand new Dodge Avenger in hopes that a new one will be coming? Well, don't hold your breath. According to The Detroit News, Chrysler will be extending production of the current Avenger sedan through the end of 2015.
Originally, we heard that the company would kill the Avenger to better focus its midsize sedan efforts on the Chrysler 200 replacement. But then new reports stated there would indeed be an Avenger successor, and that we could see it as early as next January. This Detroit News report cites supplier sources confirming the extension of Avenger production, though Chrysler has not released an official statement on the matter.
These same suppliers say that the current Jeep Wrangler will live on through mid-2018 - that's right, another five years. The Detroit News reports that a replacement for the iconic, go-anywhere Jeep was due in mid-2016.
Junkyard 1983 Dodge Rampage has Franco-American roots
Mon, Jun 20 2016Lee Iacocca and the K-Cars get most of the credit for saving Chrysler after the company's 1979 bailout by the US government, but the success of the Simca-derived Omnirizon platform was a large, if overlooked, component of Chrysler's early-1980s resurgence. The Dodge Omni and Plymouth Horizon were sold in the United States for the 1978 through 1990 model years, and variants included the 1983-1987 Dodge Charger and the Rampage, this well-worn example of which I spotted in a Denver self-service wrecking yard last week. The early Omnirizons came with a Volkswagen-sourced 1.7-liter engine, but all of the Rampage pickups (and their near-identical Plymouth Scamp siblings) came from the factory with a 2.2-liter K-Car engine making 96 horses. This truck has a 4-speed manual transmission, which would have made it reasonably quick by Malaise Era standards. This one had plenty of body filler and rust, even before the crash that sent it on that final tow-truck ride to this place, so it wouldn't have been worth restoring. Still, we can hope that some of its parts will live on in other L-body trucks.
