Up for auction is a great running, Daily Driver 1971 Dodge Demon with a V8, 318 ci engine and backed up by a 3 speed manual transmission that shifts great! The car is a very solid car with very nice body lines overall. The car doesn't show any visible signs of rust. The car starts right up, idles smooth with no knocking or smoking at all. The car was painted about a year ago and shows pretty well. The stripes were done at the same time as the paint job. The car has the standard Mopar lug pattern of 5x41/2, and not the small pattern. The car is a nice cruiser that turns head whenever I take her out. She runs nice and cool with a new radiator and overflow unit. Pictures will speak for themselves and the car will be sold to the highest bidder with NO RESERVE!! Please feel free to email me any questions, and I have the right to end the auction if someone makes a fair offer! Good Luck
Engine/ Trans: The engine is a great running 318, that is topped off with a Edelbrock Performer intake and a Holley carb. The car has new 8.8 Accel wires and a new Accel coil. New spark plugs, Cap and rotor, and a new upper radiator hose. As you can see the car has Billett pulleys and a flex fan to keep her cool. The car runs great here in the Vegas heat with no issues at all. As you can see if has the correct exhaust manifolds on the car that lead back to a nice sounding dual exhaust. I just took her to a show and it was an hour each way and she drove great. The engine is sealed up nice and tight with no visible leaks. The transmission is a 3 speed that shifts great through all the gears and you can down shift through all the gears also. The clutch assembly has a lot of life left in her!
Interior/ Exterior: The interior is very clean with new carpet. The seats are in good shape with no rips or tears. I just bought new pedal covers for the brake and clutch. The drivers door panel is ok shape, and the passenger panel is showing it's age. The rear panels look good overall. The dash is in good shape overall, all the gauges work and I added two aftermarket gauges to keep a better eye on the car as she is running. The radio works, the windows roll up and down just fine and they are tinted also. The car is in a nice driver condition and I have taken good care of her. The heater works but the motor makes a little noise at start up. The wipers work but, the horn is a no go.. sorry.
The exterior is very clean with nice body lines and the car does not show any signs of ever being in an accident. The car has all of it's original sheet metal and she is not full of bondo! The doors shut well, and the car has a new windshield. I didn't get the new windshield molding yet, so that is why it was not installed in the pictures. The trunk looks great with a few small rust repairs but, very solid overall. The floors look pretty good overall, as well as the frame rails and the whole underside of the car. The car is not perfect but, she is not a show car either. It is 40+ years old and is always gonna need something. The rims are Weld Rims that are in decent shape and the tires have good tread on them. The lug pattern is the 5X 4 1/2 pattern.
The car is a driver type car! The winning bidder is required to pay a $500 non refundable deposit due within 24 hours of winning the car! The car is being sold " As Is" due to it's age. The deposit must be paid through Paypal. The remaining balance is due within 5 days of the auction closing, and the final payment may be made with a Cashiers check, wire transfer or cash in person. The car must be picked up within 2 weeks of the auction closing, and my zip code is 89131 for shipping purposes. Please email me with any questions, and good luck!! choice!!
On Mar-16-13 at 22:16:17 PDT, seller added the following information:
The car has manual disc brakes, and manual steering. Also, I have already had a question about driving the car back home, and my response was... bring a little extra gas money and have a great trip. I also forgot that I put in a new turn signal switch also. The paint color is Hemi Orange, and the stripe kit was from Phoenix Graphics in Az.

Dodge recalls 27k Darts for bracket that can disrupt transmission module
Thu, Sep 17 2015Dodge is recalling 27,520 examples of the 2013-2015 Dart with dual-clutch gearboxes. The mounting bracket for the transmission control module can affect the part's operation and cause the compacts to suddenly shift into neutral. According to the automaker, 23,688 of them are in the US, 3,376 in Canada, 5 in Mexico, and 451 elsewhere. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports these examples carry build dates between February 24, 2012, and June 16, 2015. There are also no reports of accidents or injuries. Because of the way the bracket is mounted, the part can put too much force on the control module's circuit board and cause it to shift out of gear. The engine and airbags remain operable if this happens. To fix things, dealers will install a redesigned mount and replacement module. Related Video: Statement: Mounting Bracket September 14, 2015 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - FCA US LLC is recalling an estimated 23,688 cars in the U.S. to replace certain control modules and mounting brackets that may contribute to a loss of motive power. The Company is unaware of any related injuries or accidents. An FCA US investigation prompted by a small number of warranty claims discovered a control-module mounting bracket may apply too much force and disrupt the function of a circuit board within the module. This condition, unique to certain cars equipped with dual dry-clutch transmissions (DDCT), may cause the transmission to shift into neutral. However, the engine remains on and the vehicle's air-bags, as well as other safety features, are unaffected. The condition may also be preceded by the illumination of a dashboard warning light. Customers who observe this are urged to contact their dealers. The campaign is limited to certain 2013-2015 Dodge Darts equipped with DDCTs. Additional vehicles will be recalled in Canada (3,376), Mexico (five) and outside the NAFTA region (451). Affected customers will be advised when they may schedule service, which will be performed free of charge. Service will entail installation of a redesigned mounting bracket and replacement of the control module. Customers with additional questions may call the FCA US Customer Information Center at 1-800-853-1403.
This or That: 2005 Dodge Ram SRT-10 vs. 2005 Subaru WRX STI [w/poll]
Thu, May 7 2015Some cars, due to ultimate desirability, particular rareness, or spectacular performance/prestige eventually become collectible. It's darn near impossible to know which ones will make it into the rarefied stratosphere of collectibility – why is a late 1960s AMC AMX so affordable these days, whereas prices for late '70s Pontiac Trans Ams are soaring? – but there are some useful indicators to keep tabs on. We're not exactly experts on investing, but we do know cars. As such, we've decided to take our non-expertise on one hand, combine it in the other with our knowledge of all things automotive, wad it up, throw it out and ask for your forgiveness. Or something like that. I've challenged Senior Editor Seyth Miersma to choose a car he thinks will become a future collector's item that's not more than 10 years old, and for no more than $25,000. I've done the same, and we vigorously argued for and against each other's picks. I feel good about my choice, but I don't have the best track record in these contests (I've lost three times, won twice, but they've all been pretty close), so, while I'm not going to beg (please vote for me!), I do hope you find my argument convincing. But first, let's hear from Seyth: Miersma: Ten-years old or newer makes this challenging. At that age most vehicles feel like a plain old used car to me, few hit the "classic" button. But the Subaru WRX STI has always been a special car, and the 2005 cutoff year proves to be very attractive for the parameters of our contest. It's rare; with fewer than 5,000 STI models sold that model year. It's probably the best looking WRX STI ever sold in America; narrowly avoiding the dreadful "horse collar" front fascia. And it's got one of the more die-hard car-geek followings out there. For $25,000, you can also still find examples that have reasonable miles, are in good condition, and haven't all been molested by grown-up Initial D wannabes. With the street racers hacking up collectable examples every day, I like my odds for steep appreciation by way of conservation. I couldn't agree more. It really is difficult to predict what cars will catch the eye of collectors, and the WRX STI seems like a pretty good choice. But I think mine is even better, and I can't let him know that I'd love to park just such an STI in my very own garage. And so goes my argument: Korzeniewski: I like your choice as a driver, Seyth. I'm less convinced of its status as a sure-fire collectible.
