You're looking at a nice 1970 Dodge Dart with a 360ci engine and three speed automatic. Its sitting on 15" centerline wheels. Body is in good shape, there is a little surface rust just poking through the rear quarter, bumpers are tarnished with slight surface rust, the trunk and floors are solid. A good clean 10 footer car. The engine is very strong, I never put it on the dyno but this thing is putting power to the ground. It can spin the tires through all three gears. This is a noisy, smelly, rough, real deal hot rod. I've owned 360's in the past, and they seemed semi lethargic, but this motor is crisp and nasty. I didnt build it myself, but it is built very nice. Wiseco flat top pistons, purple 509 cam with crane lifters, and a Weiand aluminum intake. The ignition system is all msd, with a new msd 6al system(latest model with built in adjustable two step and rev limiter), new blaster coil, new distributor, 8.5mm msd wires, new 670 Holley carb, and new Holley blue fuel pump/regulator. I also replaced the radiator, water pump, and changed the harmonic damper while all the front components were off. The car has a built TCI 727 3 speed transmission with a shift kit, a 2500 stall TCI torque converter, with a Hurst pro-matic 3 shifter. I installed an Autometer pro-comp ultralite water temp/oil psi/clock/and an autogauge monster tach in the cabin. I changed all the balljoints/draglink/pitman arm/bushings.. pretty much any suspension component I could change and installed a front power disc brake kit from right stuff detailing. Upgraded spindles to the large upper ball joint size, I got the upgraded kit +$1,200 drilled/slotted rotors and stainless braided lines. The rear is completely rebuilt with 3:55 gears, a new traclok diff, and a girdled lpw cover to easily contain the power of this motor. The lug pattern on all four wheels was upgraded to the large 5 x 4.5". The rear brakes were also changed over to 96 Jeep Cherokee disc brakes. So with 4 wheel power disc brakes, it stops as fast as it goes. All the rear suspension bushings were changed to polly, air shocks and new shackles were installed. Videos of it running and driving: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQ0wlUchx4c http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlE2f2t2DuY The car is fast and makes a lot of noise, the exhaust system is longtube headers to 3" pipes, and flowmaster 20 series mufflers with dumps in front of the axle. The drive train has aprox 5000 miles since the build, I love it but the garage is full.. If you have any other requests or want to make an offer please feel free to contact me through Ebay. Thanks for looking! |

Chrysler recalling 280k Dodge Ram 1500 pickups over axle seizures
Fri, Dec 19 2014Following a June investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will be recalling 280,000 Dodge Ram pickups from model year 2005. The issue, NHTSA told The Detroit News, centered on a loose pinion nut, which could cause the rear axle to seize and, potentially, the driveshaft to detach. The affected vehicles were built between January of 2004 and August of 2005, while of the 280,000 trucks, only 257,000 were sold in the US market. According to The News, the recall will begin on February 13, and will see owners report to dealerships to have "a retention feature" added to the pinion nut.
SRT back to Dodge, Dart SRT, new Challenger, Charger and Caravan's death outlined in 5-yr plan
Tue, 06 May 2014The onslaught of news from Fiat Chrysler's layout of five-year plans continued with Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis this morning, including the unexpected announcement that SRT was coming back into the fold.
After just a few years existing as an independent entity within the Fiat Chrysler universe, an unceremonious press release hit in conjunction with today's lineup of announcements, saying "the SRT family of vehicles will be consolidated under the Dodge brand." Group CEO Sergio Marchionne thanked SRT headman Ralph Gilles for his dedication to the high-performance wing, calling out is efforts in expanding the vehicle lineup and including more customized models. He did not reference disappointing SRT Viper sales today, but we sense there's a bit of subtext.
With the SRT reunion at Dodge, it's appropriate that some of the most exciting product announcements for the next five years have to do with upcoming performance products. First out of the gate will be a refresh for that flagging Viper in 2015, which comes as little surprise.
Buyer says Dodge dealer gave him wrong Charger, failed to notice for 2 months
Wed, Dec 31 2014Mistakes happen, and they happen all the time. But when that mistake means a customer doesn't get what he or she paid for, something's gotta give. That's what one Dodge Charger buyer claims he is trying to sort out with his local dealership. Two months after taking delivery, the owner (going by the user name Dakrbouncer4689 on Reddit) says he got a call from his local Dodge dealership reporting a little problem. He had ordered and paid for the Charger SXT (pictured above on the dealer lot), but was given a Charger SE instead. The SE being the lower trim level, this presented one set of problems – namely a $2,000 discrepancy in equipment, like a five-speed automatic versus an eight-speed, a 4.3-inch infotainment display instead of 8.4, heated seats, leather steering wheel, premium audio, remote starter and so on. The second set of issues is that the VIN number on the paperwork (including the registration and insurance papers) of course doesn't match that of the car itself. The dealer, having obviously made a rather large mistake, apparently called the owner in to sort out the mess, but according to the customer's account, things didn't go as smoothly. Instead of immediately working to address the problem, the salesman kept the owner waiting, acted like it was no big deal, and offered only to swap the cars with no compensation for the trouble. Fortunately, the manager proved more sympathetic and apologetic, and offered the customer three options: he could swap the cars (re-doing the tinted windows on the SXT that the customer had done on the SE and throwing in leather seats for free), he could keep the SE (with the dealership handling the paperwork, throwing in the leather seats, adjusting the price and refunding an extra $400), or they could cancel everything, return the car and part company. As we go to press, the Charger owner had yet to make (or at least share) his decision. But while the principle of caveat emptor makes us wonder how he managed to take home a different car from the one he paid for, clearly the salesman and the dealership made a pretty large mistake by presenting him with the wrong set of keys and letting him off the lot without double checking it all.
