2004 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4.7 L V8 Engine Vernon Nj on 2040-cars
Highland Lakes, New Jersey, United States
Black Dodge Dakota....approx 175,000 miles. 4x4, tow package...4.7 l V8. Body is in fair condition (only dent is the lower front bumper and miner chips and scrapes). Interior of the vechicle is in good condition.
* interested call or text 973-903-5845 Needs new exhaust system (the Y pipe that connects the manifords is rusted out...either someone can fabricate a new one or the whole exhaust system needs replace if one cannot be fabricated) and front wheel bearing (forgot which one) needs replaced. Also, there is a chip in the transmission that needs replaced (sometimes the vechicle starts out in 3rd gear....the dealership explained there is a chip that needs replaced). The check engine light is on and the codes are reading the chip in the transmission that needs replaced. The vechicle was tuned up back in Dec with new spark plugs, dash board lights replaced and was running great until the Y pipe rusted thru. Otherwise, to the best of my knowledge, the vechicle is in good running shape. The only major thing that was replaced was the transfer case which was replaced 2 years ago and installed a new muffler about a year ago. For the age, the underbody has rust and this would be a great vechicle for someone that knows what they are doing and can fix what is wrong. The vechicle is currenly inspected until Jan 2014 |

Only in Japan: Dodge van one-make racing series is a thing
Wed, Jul 15 2015Japan seems willing to embrace a level of automotive insanity that many other places lack. Whether it's 1,200-horsepower Nissan GT-Rs blasting through tight, tree-lined mountain roads or advertisements with dances for the Toyota Prius Plug-in, the country definitely has a unique way of expressing a love for autos. The D-Van Grand Prix might be one of our favorite examples yet of crazy Japanese car culture, because the annual, one-make race at the Ebisu Circuit is exclusively for heavily customized Dodge vans. Like many great things, this wonderfully crazy idea came from a little rule breaking. D-Van Grand Prix organizer Takuro Abe was at a track event for a motorcycle racing school, and vans were used to haul the bikes around. During lunch someone came up with the idea for a race. Ignoring that the big machines weren't actually allowed on the circuit, the drivers headed out. The popularity has just grown since then. These days, the racing vans absolutely aren't the stock machines from the event's inspiration. In addition to stripped interiors and track rubber that you might expect, the list of mods for them is a mile long. For every possible advantage, the racers fit them with things like Brembo brakes, cross-drilled rotors, heavy-duty transmissions, and much more. Seeing vans lumbering around the track is very weird at first, but the racers take the competition very seriously. These folks even employ all sorts of little tricks to coax the most from the machines. This is a fascinating motorsports story, but be sure to turn on the subtitles to understand the interviews with the competitors.

Dodge Journey gets new $24,895* SE V6 AWD model
Wed, 12 Mar 2014While the Dodge Journey crossover remains largely unchanged for the 2014 model year, there are two new flavors of the seven-passenger CUV on offer: the butch-looking Crossroad, and the SE V6 AWD, pictured right, which makes its debut today. As its name suggests, this new Journey model features the automaker's 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, and offers all-wheel drive, which, with a starting price of $24,895 (*excluding $995 for destination), reduces the cost-of-entry for an AWD-equipped Journey by $1,800 versus the SXT AWD model. Scroll down for the official press blast.
