2003 Dodge Dakota SXT extended cab pickup, 4x4, v6. We just took this in on trade and went through it bumper to bumper. Repairs and maintenance just performed include: 4 new tires, new exhaust muffler and tailpipe, new rear brakes, fluids flushed, wipers, serpentine belt, four wheel alignment and full detail/ wax. V6 engine and 5 speed transmission is a great combination for fuel efficiency and towing power. Options include CD player, etched glass, flip up rear seats for storage, Air Conditioning. Runs very well, Adult owned and used for highway commute to work, so miles are easy miles. Frame and underside are very solid, has never had a tow hitch or snow plow. Only issues I see are minor body imperfections, see photos of drivers door and right rear lower fender. Ct buyers must pay sales tax. Junkyard 1983 Dodge Rampage has Franco-American roots
Mon, Jun 20 2016Lee Iacocca and the K-Cars get most of the credit for saving Chrysler after the company's 1979 bailout by the US government, but the success of the Simca-derived Omnirizon platform was a large, if overlooked, component of Chrysler's early-1980s resurgence. The Dodge Omni and Plymouth Horizon were sold in the United States for the 1978 through 1990 model years, and variants included the 1983-1987 Dodge Charger and the Rampage, this well-worn example of which I spotted in a Denver self-service wrecking yard last week. The early Omnirizons came with a Volkswagen-sourced 1.7-liter engine, but all of the Rampage pickups (and their near-identical Plymouth Scamp siblings) came from the factory with a 2.2-liter K-Car engine making 96 horses. This truck has a 4-speed manual transmission, which would have made it reasonably quick by Malaise Era standards. This one had plenty of body filler and rust, even before the crash that sent it on that final tow-truck ride to this place, so it wouldn't have been worth restoring. Still, we can hope that some of its parts will live on in other L-body trucks. MotorWeek revisits the awesome, original Dodge Viper

Not only does the video feature the now-famous, original Dodge Viper, but this is also a chance to watch one lapping Pocono International Raceway in a test of track prowess. This segment was MotorWeek's first chance to unleash the Viper around a racecourse, and the show took advantage of the opportunity. In addition to the usual 0-60 mph and quarter-mile tests, the 400-horsepower V10 is let loose to do lap after lap. The clip offers a great dose of nostalgia and is worth a watch to remember the intense enthusiasm surrounding the Viper at the time.
