Up for sale is a 1999 Dodge Dakota R/T. The engine has 119000 miles and the transmission has about 25000 on a rebuild. There has been some motor work done. Comp cams cam, mopar m1 intake, gibson headers, bigger valve springs and retainers, bigger throttle body, tuned ecm, mopar air intake and mopar performance valve covers. The exterior of the truck has been repainted snake skin green with a painted on flat black strobe stripe. There was absolutely nothing wrong with truck before I painted it, I just wanted to something different and it for sure stands out. There is also a steel cowl induction hood, street scene front bumper, street scene urethene roll pan, and the wheels have been painted black. The truck is also lowered with a djm lowering kit. New shocks and tires have been recently installed. The interior has katskinz leather seat covers, pioneer cd player, and a sub box hidden under the back seat. It also features a rear sliding window. This truck still runs great and shifts perfect. The interior will need to be finished, as the dash needs to be recovered with tweed and some of the interior pieces still need to be installed. You are still able to drive the truck the way it sits, but the interior has been a project that i havent had time to finish. It also has a aftermarket gibson steering wheel installed by the previous owner and there are no airbags in the truck. They were also taken out by the previous owner for tv's to be installed in the dash and never just put them back in. I dont have them at all. Lastly, the truck does need a muffler put on, its rather loud but it never bothered me enough to put one back on and the passenger side header gasket will need replaced. Which i have. Finally, i have all the interior parts to go with the truck and other parts as well. Like a spare wheel, a spoiler for the tail gate, and whatever else i have laying around.

Dodge Challenger Hellcat drift video is pure horsepower porn
Fri, Mar 27 2015We could listen to the whining, snarling 6.2-liter Hemi V8 in the Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcats all day long. The noise just sounds like power that's being barely restrained and is everything about a muscle car that's right. The team at Pennzoil apparently understands that allure, too. The oil company has a new video where it lets the engine roar for over a minute, while a Challenger does some big, smoky drifts through an abandoned city. The whole stunt is edited together in a slickly produced way that looks fantastic. Although, the big finale might go a little too far and starts straining believability. Nonetheless, the Hellcat's wonderful noise is still the star of this show. Related Video:
Dodge offers 100 years of solid advice in new ad
Fri, 18 Apr 2014This is a cool ad. Dodge, which is celebrating its centennial this year, recruited some of its peers to see what you should and shouldn't do in life. Of course, some are obvious - don't complain, learn from your mistakes and live for now.
Then again, some are less obvious. Some, actually, are downright awesome. Towards the end, each piece of advice is interspersed with clips of Dodge's redesigned Challenger smoking its tires. Really, this ad feels like it'd be worthy of a Super Bowl spot. This commercial's personal nature is really in keeping with some of the big game's most interesting ads, like the Imported From Detroit commercial, the Farmer ad and Maserati's surprise clip from this year's game.
Take a look below and let us know what you think.
What's the deal with Chrysler demanding colleges crush their Vipers? [w/video]
Fri, 07 Mar 2014Students and teachers at a Washington community college are up in arms following an order from Chrysler that it must destroy the pre-production Dodge Viper that was donated to the school's automotive technology program ten years ago.
The Viper in question is said to be the fourth off the production line, based on its VIN, and has had its emissions controls disabled, allowing its ten-cylinder engine to produce 600 horsepower, according to a report from Yahoo! Autos. As one of the first Vipers ever produced, the school's AT instructors claim it could be worth $250,000 in a museum, while a local news report purports that Jay Leno once tried to purchase the car, but the sale was prevented by Chrysler.
As pointed out by our friends at Autobytel, though, there are a lot of things in this story that don't quite add up. Immediately noticeable from the news report embedded below - which shows the car at South Puget Sound Community College - is that the car in question is not a 1992 model. When the Viper went on sale in 1992, it was only available as an RT/10 with a (flimsy) soft top, like the red car shown above. But the car featured in the report from KING5 News (inset image) is clearly a hardtop Viper GTS, which didn't enter production until 1996. And even if, as reported by a local newspaper, the hardtop featured is a prototype, it doesn't explain the lack of another iconic feature of the first Vipers - their distinctive side pipes. This kind of pokes holes in the school's argument that this is the fourth Viper to ever roll down the line. At best, this appears to be a pre-production Viper GTS.
