1987 Dodge Dakota Base Standard Cab Pickup 2-door 3.9l on 2040-cars
Dundalk, Maryland, United States
We have a 1987 Dodge Dakota 2WD reg. cab, long bed pickup for sale. It is equipped with the 3.9 L V-6 engine, A/T, P/S, P/D/B, & A/C (not working, compressor locked up). It is currently tagged & driven almost every day, on Maryland Street Rod tags. We bought it to pull the motor & transmission to put in her 1951 Studebaker, but the truck is so solid I couldn't bring myself to tear it apart. Instead, we bought 2 brand new front fenders (which had most of the major rust on the truck), and a brand new chrome rear step bumper (which had the rest of the rust). The pictures will show it is a very solid body, the only rust remaining is a spot on top of the drivers door rocker panel (see picture), the passenger side rear cab corner (see picture), and the passenger side rear wheel well on the bed (see picture). The drivers side rear wheel well is just starting to rust, but has not come through yet. The only rust not shown is around the windshield, pin holes that do leak when it rains. I have it taped over with electrical tape, which stops the leak & almost looks like sealing trim. The tires are in fair / good condition, the fronts could probably be replaced. It would make an excellent street rod / pro street pickup project for someone who was looking for a project, or could be used as it is. I have a '93 5.2 L (318) Magnum V-8 I had kicked around putting in it after we pulled the V-6 that could go along with the truck if wanted. It would be a bolt-in swap for the V-6. All the glass is good (very small chip in the windshield), the door winders work properly, and it has a rear slider window. We recently drove the truck, loaded with parts, to the Chryslers at Carlisle meet and back, so it is road worthy. BUT, if I were going a long distance, I WOULD trailer it. I'm just not that confident with the front tires. Transportation of this truck IS the buyers responsibility. Rear brakes & parking brake cables were just done, and we bought a new pair of front coil springs that are included. That's about all I can think of for now. If you have any questions, or want any more information, give us a call at 410-952-5919 and we'll be glad to answer you. We have started the truck at the lowest price we will accept with no reserve, but we reserve the right to stop the listing at any time due to it being for sale locally. P.S. - I started to swap over the interior (beige bench seat) with the blue bucket seat interior out of the 1993 Dakota parts truck we had (where the engine came from). MOST of the trim panels have not been installed yet, but ARE included with the truck (as is the stock bench seat if wanted). I have installed the inside remote control mirrors off the '93. The last 3 pictures are of the short bed off of the '93. It is included (if wanted) for the patch panels for the long bed. |

2015 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack
Fri, 24 Oct 2014We all knew That Kid. As a freshman, he was a big kid, overweight but surprisingly strong. Still, he was often picked on for his size. Then, he chatted with the football coach, who convinced him that his true calling was on the team's offensive line. After a season on the freshman squad and a summer of two-a-days, this mild-mannered, husky high schooler returned for his sophomore year as a big, imposing, solid piece of muscle. Needless to say, the same bullies that picked on him were praying he'd forgotten about them as a 10th grader.
That's the V8-powered 2015 Dodge Challenger. It arrived on the scene with a max of 425 horsepower and a bit of a weight problem. It completed its proverbial freshman year with a nice 2011 refresh, where the SRT8 was bumped up to 470 hp, but it still had some work to do.
Enter 2015, and fresh off three months of constant burpees and wind sprints, the newest Challenger is as big and powerful as it's ever been, but it's now got poise and potential, and my goodness, it's fun in a way that Dodge's muscle car has never been.
Dodge offering novel 1-year lease on '14 Challenger and Charger models
Mon, 14 Apr 2014Dodge is just days away from unveiling refreshed versions of the Charger and Challenger at the 2014 New York Auto Show, models promising updated styling and new powertrain options. Depending on how you look at it, the company is either so confident in its forthcoming 2015 models that it's offering an interesting Double-Up lease deal on the current vehicles, or it's so eager to clear out existing stock that it's resorting to novel lease deals. In any case, what they present is an interesting scenario, one which allows buyers to get the existing model right now, and then trade up to the facelifted 2015 models in one year.
Starting April 17, when the refreshed cars debut through the end of August, buyers can lease a 2014 Charger or Challenger for one year and exchange it for a three-year lease on a 2015 model next year, with no additional money down and the same monthly payment. Customers can even switch vehicles when the new lease starts. If drivers want to buy the '15, they get $1,000 off the purchase price. To be eligible, both leases must use the same dealership and be financed through Chrysler Capital. The Double-Up deal excludes the SRT versions of both cars and Charger SE models.
To offset the flood of one-year-old models coming back to dealerships, Dodge has struck a deal with rental car agency Enterprise, which has agreed to buy them all. "One-year leases are highly unusual in the industry," said company spokesperson Ralph Kisiel, and the fleet sale deal is what makes it possible.
2016 Dodge Viper ACR priced from $117,895
Tue, May 12 2015Fancy getting your hands on the all-new Dodge Viper ACR? Prepare to shell out at least $117,895, not counting destination or gas-guzzler tax. Those two add $1,995 and $2,100, respectively, for an out-the-door price of $121,990. That's $32,900 more than a base 2015 Viper, or the equivalent of a Challenger with a few options. As we explained previously, the ACR model doesn't do much for outright power – the 8.4-liter V10 offers up only five more ponies than before – but it does add suspension and aerodynamic upgrades that make this particular Viper far more potent on the track. The order books are officially open for the ACR, so if you've got the coin, get in touch with your local dealer. Until then, head into Comments and let us know what you think of the ACR's pricing. Would you shell out $118,000 for the ultimate Viper? DODGE OPENS ORDER BANKS FOR NEW 2016 DODGE VIPER ACR The fastest street-legal Viper track car ever offers a tremendous value for performance May 12, 2015 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - Viper enthusiasts with the need for ultimate handling, performance and road course domination, as well as the ability to drive their Viper home from the track, can now place their orders for the fastest street-legal Viper track car ever. The Dodge brand has announced pricing and opened order banks for the recently introduced 2016 Dodge Viper ACR. Unveiled last week at the revamped Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit, the American Club Racer model of the iconic, hand-built American supercar will have a starting U.S. Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $117,895 (excluding destination and gas guzzler tax). "Bringing our street-legal Dodge Viper ACR back is going to arm our track enthusiasts with the ultimate weapon to dominate road courses across the country," said Tim Kuniskis, President and CEO - Dodge and SRT Brands, FCA - North America.
