A fun ride on the street, 425 HP 6.1 Hemi, built 727 Turbo action valve body and converter, only the best parts were used to install the 6.1, TTI headers, Koni adjustable shocks up front, new bulletproof driveshaft with 1350 joints, the 4-link, tubs, and rollbar were installed in Ron Butlers shop in LA, Fabtech 9" housing, Strange lite spool, Strange 40 spline gun drilled axels, aluminum Strange ultra bolt thru center with 12 bolt pinion carrier, 11" disc brakes, wheelie bars, Koni coilovers, 16 gallon fuel cell in the trunk, lineloc. The body has never had any undercoat, caulk, or rust, NOS front fenders, show chromed bumpers, stainless has been polished, new superstock grille, and NOS trunk medallion, superstock interior, aluminum radiator, new MT 31x16R-15 Sportsman radials, new Centerline Convo with 26x6R-15 fronts. I have driven it parades when temps were over 100 and down the interstate 80mph with no problems. The Simpson chute is just for fun, a lever beside the driver seat folds it under the tag to make it legal when the law is looking. I have had alot of radical street cars and they all were hard to live with on the street, and this one is really fun with 425+ HP that runs economical, starts and runs like a new SRT-8 should. 2013 Dodge Charger AWD Sport
Tue, 29 Jan 2013We won't beat around the bush: The all-wheel-drive Dodge Charger is not a brand new car. This generation launched in 2011, AWD models and all. But for 2013, Chrysler has added an optional sport package to the AWD model, available with both the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 or the sweet, sweet 5.7-liter Hemi V8. The upgrades for this new sport pack are mainly cosmetic; a gloss black grille, new 19-inch alloy wheels and body-colored rear spoiler make up the list of exterior changes. Inside, there are new sport seats and paddle shifters, and the eight-speed automatic transmission has been reflashed for better performance.
But because vehicles like the Dodge Charger mainly stick out in our minds as being rear-drive bruisers, Chrysler wanted to give us the opportunity to test out the LX platform's foul-weather prowess. And perhaps no place more appropriate to test such a system was way up in Michigan's Upper Peninsula in the dead of winter.

Dodge Durango gets the Blacktop treatment
Sat, 09 Aug 2014The Dodge Durango is getting a meaner, more aggressive look as it becomes the latest model from the brand to wear the Blacktop Appearance Package. The upgrades are strictly cosmetic, but they lend the SUV a more assertive demeanor that some buyers like.
Available on the SXT, Limited and R/T (shown above) models, all Blacktop Durangos get black 20-inch wheels, dual exhaust, bod- color fascia and gloss black trim. The grille surround, air dam, mirrors and headlight surrounds all get the inky treatment, as well. The improvements add $1,590 to the cost of the SXT. They come to $1,990 on the Limited but also include HID headlights with LED running lights and a leather interior. Finally, R/T buyers only need to pay $295 for the upgrades. The Blacktop Durango hits showrooms this October.
If you're already in the market for a Durango but want a dash more style with no added performance, the Blacktop might not be a bad way to go. It certainly gives the SUV a bit more edge than it has in stock form. Scroll down to read the full release.
Dodge Durango to stay classy with Ron Burgundy as spokesperson [w/video]
Sat, 05 Oct 2013The upcoming 2014 Dodge Durango has a lot of things going for it, including its 290-horsepower V6 and 360-hp Hemi V8 engine options, an eight-speed automatic and aggressive looks. And now it will have Ron Burgundy, the fictional television news anchor played by comedian Will Ferrell, as a spokesperson, Adweek reports. He follows in the footsteps of other non-fictional Chrysler brand spokespeople such as Eminem, Clint Eastwood and the late Paul Harvey.
Though the star of 2004's Anchorman and the upcoming Anchorman 2 is wildly popular, we're not sure we see a Dodge spokesperson in Burgundy. (Please, no womanizing or scotchy, scotch, scotch before test test drives). But at this point there's no turning back: Chrysler's chief marketing officer Olivier Francois previewed three ad spots at the Association of National Advertisers (ANA) Masters of Marketing conference in Phoenix on Friday, and says Chrysler has already filmed 68(!) Durango ads with the fictional newsman.
According to Adweek, one of the ads previewed had Burgundy highlighting the SUV's glovebox size, and in another he compared its horsepower to a white horse standing next to him.
