WOW WHAT A RARE AND BEAUTIFUL LOW LOW

ORIGINAL MILES (29,672) 1955 DODGE CORONET

This little Dodge Coronet is truly amazing!!! Not only is it a RUST FREE 55, but she runs and drives just as good and tight as she did in 1955!!! Not a bit of wind noise, rattle or squeak of any kind!! NONE!!

She is equipped with a very quiet and yet very quick DODGE RED RAM V8 engine. She has her ORIGINAL and famous 270 cubic inch motor with new dual exhaust that sounds just right, not loud, just right. She has several options that today we take for granted. TURN SIGNALS, A RADIO THAT IS ONLY AM, DUAL HORNS, AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, AND 5 NEW 670 by 15 WIDE WHITE WALL SILVERTOWN TIRES!!!!! Even CARPETING and A CIGARETTE LIGHTER WAS AN OPTION!!!!!!!!

AND WHAT ABOUT THE VERY COOL AND IN GREAT CONDITION (ART DECO) 50s TRI TONE PAINT JOB, Black over White and Yellow!!

She retains all of her ORIGINAL, NOT REPLATED chrome and all of her ORIGINAL STAINLESS!

Her INTERIOR is ORIGINAL and almost perfect. She has ALL of her ORIGINAL GLASS and ORIGINAL and very soft weather stripping in place. Her dash is TRULY AMAZING and 100% in place and not repainted. The ORIGINAL AND VERY UNIQUE DASH MOUNTED TRANSMISSION SHIFTER LEVER and all other controls are as they should be!! And the heater and defroster assembly works just fine!!!

She is not missing anything! She was bought new from a Dodge store not far from the mansion of HORACE DODGE one of the founders of Dodge Motor Co. in UPSCALE Grosse Pointe Farms. The new owner will be the 3rd owner she has had.

New items within the last year or so to include: Battery, Exhaust from the manifolds back, Water Pump, Rocker Covers, Tune Up, Complete new Brakes, Fuel Tank, and 5 New tires. Around 2500.00 to make her drive like new again. Keep in mind she only had 28,000 miles on it a year or so back. There's even the original break-in instructions in the glove box, the original jack assembly and trunk mat in the trunk

She needs nothing to drive across country, or take down to your favorite local car show, she always demands a crowd no matter where you go!!!!   This beauty would be a welcome addition to any Dodge dealers showroom.

How fracking is causing Chrysler minivans to sit on Detroit's riverfront

Fri, 25 Apr 2014

It's fascinating the way that one change to a complex system can have all sorts of unintended consequences. For instance, there are hundreds of new Chrysler Town and County and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans built in Windsor, Ontario, sitting in lots on the Detroit waterfront because of the energy boom in the Bakken oil field in the northern US and parts of Canada.
The huge amount of crude oil coming from these sites mostly use freight trains for transport, and that supply boom has resulted in a shortage of railcars to carry other goods. According to The Windsor Star, North American crude oil transport by train has gone from 9,500 carloads in 2008 to 434,032 carloads in 2013. Making matters worse, some North American rail infrastructure is still damaged because of this year's harsh winter, and that's slowing things down even further.
Chrysler admits to The Star that it has had some delivery delays due to the freight train shortage. In the meantime, it's using more trucks to deliver its vehicles. Trucking is a far less economical solution, partially because a train can carry so many more units at one time, but alternatives are slim. The Windsor plant alone has a deal for 33 trucks to distribute the minivans around Canada and the Midwestern US.

Woodward Dream Cruise Photo Gallery | Classics and American muscle

Sun, Aug 21 2022

The 2022 running of the Woodward Dream Cruise just went down, and we were there from morning to evening drinking in the sweet sights and pre-emissions exhaust fumes. Yes, it’s a little smelly on Woodward Ave. this time of year. Just like always, the Dream Cruise invites all comers to cruise their machines on Woodward from Ferndale, MI to Pontiac, MI. Everybody is invited, but the original intent of the Dream Cruise was to highlight classic American muscle cars. YouÂ’ll see plenty of those in our mega gallery above, but weÂ’ve sprinkled it with a bunch of other vehicle types, such as modern muscle and other intriguing American vehicles. Similar to years past, though, sometimes the classics arenÂ’t the most entertaining thing to look at on Woodward. ThatÂ’s why weÂ’ll have other mega galleries coming soon, highlighting the weird cars and (great) dogs of the Cruise, all the imports and exotics you can imagine and a special one for all the trucks of Woodward — perhaps even more so than in years past, the truck population on Dream Cruise day was quite high. Click through above to see all the classics you wouldÂ’ve seen had you been roadside on the day of the cruise. And if you missed this yearÂ’s event, make sure you check out what happens next year. You wonÂ’t be alone, as itÂ’s estimated that over 1 million people attend the Dream Cruise to either watch from the side of the road or to sit in the most glorious traffic jam in the world. Autoblog's Editors' Picks: Our complete list of the best new vehicles

Mon, May 13 2024

It's not easy to earn an “EditorsÂ’ Picks” at Autoblog as part of the rating and review process that every new vehicle goes through. Our editors have been at it a long time, which means weÂ’ve driven and reviewed virtually every new car you can go buy on the dealer lot. There are disagreements, of course, and all vehicles have their strengths and weaknesses, but this list features what we think are the best new vehicles chosen by Autoblog editors. We started this formal review process back in 2018, so there's quite of few of them now. So what does it mean to be an EditorsÂ’ Pick? In short, it means itÂ’s a car that we can highly recommend purchasing. There may be one, multiple, or even zero vehicles in any given segment that we give the green light to. What really matters is that itÂ’s a vehicle that weÂ’d tell a friend or family member to go buy if theyÂ’re considering it, because itÂ’s a very good car. The best way to use this list is is with the navigation links below. Click on a segment, and you'll quickly arrive at the top rated pickup truck or SUV, for example. Use the back button to return to these links and search in another segment, like sedans. If youÂ’ve been keeping up with our monthly series of the latest vehicles to earn EditorsÂ’ Pick status, youÂ’re likely going to be familiar with this list already. If not, welcome to the complete list that weÂ’ll be keeping updated as vehicles enter (and others perhaps exit) the good graces of our editorial team. We rate a new car — giving it a numerical score out of 10 — every time thereÂ’s a significant refresh or if it happens to be an all-new model. Any given vehicle may be impressive on a first drive, but we wait until itÂ’s in the hands of our editors to put it through the same type of testing as every other vehicle that rolls through our test fleet before giving it the EditorsÂ’ Pick badge. This ensures consistency and allows more voices to be heard on each individual model. And just so you donÂ’t think weÂ’ve skipped trims or variants of a model, we hand out the EditorsÂ’ Pick based on the overarching model to keep things consistent. So, when you read that the 3 Series is an EditorsÂ’ Pick, yes, that includes the 330i to the M3 and all the variants in between. If thereÂ’s a particular version of that car we vehemently disagree with, we make sure to call that out.
