The brakes do not work and the car will need to be trailered away from it's location in Escondido California. The car has very little rust but does have a small spot on the lower inside of rear tail gate. Rear window does not roll up but did go down when jumped with a wire connection from a good battery. As you can see from the pictures it's needs a left front fender. Car starts and goes into forward and reverse but once again The car has no brakes from sitting so long. Car has power steering but the steering gear leaks a bit. The car is a bit dirty and rough but could be put back on the road without too much investment. It has 14 inch steel wheels with good tires. Rear Tail gate opens as a door or a gate. Rear end is an open 8 3/4 with 2:76 to 1 gears Transmission is a 904 Automatic Engine 2bbl 318 Car may be numbers matching Left rear window does not roll up but does have glass inside complete. Ignition switch and keys sell for $70 to $100 just for that part alone. The Right Fender needs a little love but very usable. The Right Fender would sell for $300 to $400 as they don't make them anymore. The Left fender could be saved by a good body guy and does not have any rust. Heat it and Pull it out. 26 inch radiator and fan shroud All the outside light work. The front turn signal lens were replace with nice clear lens and work. Chrysler to accelerate production of 2013 Ram and V6 engines
Fri, 16 Nov 2012Chrysler is adding a third shift at its Warren Truck plant to meet demand for the new 2013 Ram pickup. And with tight supplies of its Pentastar V6, the company is also boosting output at its Mack Engine plant.
The expansions will add 1,250 jobs and are part of a $238 million investment by Chrysler in the Detroit area. Warren's third shift will begin work sometime in the spring, a Chrysler rep told Automotive News. Mack's increased Pentastar production a could include both 3.6 and 3.2-liter engines.
The company says it also plans to invest $40 million in its Trenton Engine plant to allow for production of a 3.2-liter V6 as well as the Tigershark inline-four for the upcoming Jeep Liberty replacement.
Dodge Dart getting hatchback variant... sort of
Thu, 25 Apr 2013In other parts of the world, Fiat builds and sells a version of the Dodge Dart called the Viaggio, and it appears that in addition to the current sedan bodystyle, a new hatchback version of the car is also in the works. Autocar says that the general manager for China's Guangzhou-Fiat joint venture, John Burton, has confirmed that a new Viaggio hatchback will be revealed by the end of this year before it goes on sale in early 2014.
The Viaggio will soon be joined by the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, which in China will be called the Liberty Light, at the Guangzhou-Fiat plant. While the idea of a Dodge Dart hatchback might be enough to enable most of us to forget about the Dodge Caliber, a North American variant doesn't appear to be in the cards. We reached out to Chrysler PR boss Rick Deneau, and he offered a succinct: "No plans at this time."
