LOUISIANA CAR BEEN IN THE SAME SPOT IN A GARAGE FOR THE LAST 33 YEARS. I'M A GM GUY AND I STUMBLED ACROSS THIS OLD JEWEL WHILE TRYING TO BUY A 70 CHEVELLE. I'VE ALWAYS HAD A LOVE FOR THE OLD MOPARS BUT I DON'T KNOW A THING ABOUT THEM OTHER THAN TO CHECK THE VIN TO SEE IF IT'S A REAL CAR AND NOT A CLONE. SHE HASN'T RUN IN OVER 33 YEARS AND I'M TOLD THAT THE ENGINE UNDER THE HOOD NOW IS A 383. THOSE NUMBERS ARE STAMPED ON THE TOP FRONT OF THE BLOCK SO THAT MAKES SENSE. I INCLUDED PICTURES OF THE FENDER TAG SO THIS OLD GIRL SHOULD BE PRETTY EASY TO DECODE. OPTIONS AND FEATURES THAT I NOTED ARE: FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING........POWER STEERING........CENTER CONSOLE........BUCKET SEATS.......AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION.........DOMED HOOD THAT I DON'T KNOW IF ITS ORIGINAL AND PROBABLY MORE THAT YOU MAY DECODE FROM THE FENDER TAG FLOORS, FRAME AND FIREWALL ARE RUST FREE AND THE TRUNK WAS SHOT FROM A REAR WINDOW LEAK. I WELDED IN A NEW TRUNK FLOOR AND IT IS IN PLACE BUT NOT FINISHED AND SEALED AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PICTURES. I MARKED CLEAR TITLE ON THIS AUCTION BUT IT WILL BE ABOUT 2 WEEKS BEFORE I RECEIVE THE FLORIDA TITLE IN MY NAME THAT I ORDERED FROM A TITLE SERVICE. Dodge Dart getting hatchback variant... sort of
Thu, 25 Apr 2013In other parts of the world, Fiat builds and sells a version of the Dodge Dart called the Viaggio, and it appears that in addition to the current sedan bodystyle, a new hatchback version of the car is also in the works. Autocar says that the general manager for China's Guangzhou-Fiat joint venture, John Burton, has confirmed that a new Viaggio hatchback will be revealed by the end of this year before it goes on sale in early 2014.
The Viaggio will soon be joined by the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, which in China will be called the Liberty Light, at the Guangzhou-Fiat plant. While the idea of a Dodge Dart hatchback might be enough to enable most of us to forget about the Dodge Caliber, a North American variant doesn't appear to be in the cards. We reached out to Chrysler PR boss Rick Deneau, and he offered a succinct: "No plans at this time."
Chrysler teases upcoming outlay of SEMA cars
Wed, 15 Oct 2014Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is hauling a multitude of modified models to the annual SEMA show in Las Vegas this November, and the company is releasing the first teasing sketches of many of them.
Unfortunately, FCA isn't giving many solid details on any of the concepts other than saying the vehicles from Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Fiat all benefit from tuning from its Mopar performance brand. The teaser photos include a sinister-looking Chrysler 200S, Fiat 500 Abarth with two-tone paint and a scorpion on the hood, a red and black 500L, seemingly two different takes on the Jeep Renegade, a green Dodge Challenger wearing the T/A badge, an orange and black Dart, a very neon Charger, just the outline of a red and black Viper, a Ram ProMaster in Mopar livery and a Ram pickup called the Outdoorsman.

2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat
Wed, 29 Oct 2014Including all-wheel-drive models, there are ten versions of the 2015 Dodge Charger. The tenth variant - better described as the ten-tenths variant and the topmost model - is this Charger SRT Hellcat.
Superficially, you already know what it is: take the massively powerful Hellcat engine that's Frankensteined into the Dodge Challenger and stitch it into the recently facelifted Charger sedan.
Oh, but that would be superficial knowledge indeed. Russ Ruedisueli, vehicle line executive and head engineer for SRT, claims the Charger Hellcat is, "The industry's most irreverent four-door supercar." We looked up the word "irreverent" in the Oxford dictionaries, and it turns out the word doesn't mean "707 horsepower," nor "650 pound-feet of torque" nor "3.7-second 0-60 time, and seats five adults." It does mean, "Showing a lack of respect for people or things that are generally taken seriously."
