1967 Coronet R/t With Factory Air/disc Brakes on 2040-cars

Year:1967 Mileage:46000
Location:

Griffin, Georgia, United States

Griffin, Georgia, United States

This car has the right rear lower quarter panel rusted away. There is a small hole in the passenger side floor pan as well as a small hole in the upper trunk pan. The spare tire well is in good condition with no holes. This car is complete with all parts still intact. It is a factory air condition car and has factory disc brakes. It has a 323 Sure Grip rear end. It has a 1968 383 Magnum HP in instead of the original 440. This car was purchased from a man who left it sitting for 42 years and the engine is stuck although I do have oil in the cylinders and I have not tried to turn it over yet. I believe that it will turn. I purchased this car from the second owner and he stated that the car ran when he parked it back in 1972but he couldn't afford the gas so he bought a VW and parked this car. The speedo says only 46,000 miles and this is not unrealistic since the car was only driven 5 years. It has the original paint/interior etc. I have the 14" road wheels that go on the car. Fender tag was missing when I purchased it. This car was purchased from a Chrysler dealer in Dublin GA. The dealers name was Talmadge (Tab) Prince. He was killed in 1970 driving a Daytona at Daytona Motor Speedway. If you type in Talmadge Prince on YouTube you can see a short video of the crash. Also if you look on Wikipedia you can get his story as well. While I cannot confirm this I suspect that he blew the engine in this Coronet shortly after he took possession of it and replaced it with 383 Magnum in 1968 since that is the date code on the side of the block. The man I purchased it from bought it from the dealers son and said he only drove it, never made any changes except changing the oil. This car came from south Georgia and what you see under the car is sand build up and not rust. I have tried to be as honest as I possibly can with what information that I have so please feel free to ask any questions that you may have. Please note that this car is being sold with a notarized bill of sale only since Georgia does not require a title on this year vehicle. I have sold other vehicles out of state and have provided a letter from the state of Georgia stating no Title required and the buyer was able to register the vehicle in their state.  Also, this vehicle is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this sale early. No reserve so bid to win.

2015 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack

Fri, 24 Oct 2014

We all knew That Kid. As a freshman, he was a big kid, overweight but surprisingly strong. Still, he was often picked on for his size. Then, he chatted with the football coach, who convinced him that his true calling was on the team's offensive line. After a season on the freshman squad and a summer of two-a-days, this mild-mannered, husky high schooler returned for his sophomore year as a big, imposing, solid piece of muscle. Needless to say, the same bullies that picked on him were praying he'd forgotten about them as a 10th grader.
That's the V8-powered 2015 Dodge Challenger. It arrived on the scene with a max of 425 horsepower and a bit of a weight problem. It completed its proverbial freshman year with a nice 2011 refresh, where the SRT8 was bumped up to 470 hp, but it still had some work to do.
Enter 2015, and fresh off three months of constant burpees and wind sprints, the newest Challenger is as big and powerful as it's ever been, but it's now got poise and potential, and my goodness, it's fun in a way that Dodge's muscle car has never been.

This SEMA special drag race is absurdly awesome

Fri, Dec 5 2014

The SEMA Show came and went last month, and it showed us a ton of heavily modded goodies to dream about during the long, cold winter. The Motor Trend Channel on YouTube is keeping the party rolling a little longer, though, with a drag race inspired by the aftermarket event. All of the hosts were supposed to borrow a vehicle from the show for the big race, but only two of them actually cajoled companies into lending their wares. Still, the result includes four very cool and extremely different examples of the breadth of the automotive hobby. First up, there's a 1955 Chevrolet with a 535-cubic-inch (8.8-liter) Hemi V8 stuffed under the hood. Appropriately, it's dubbed the Blasphemi, and with skinny tires up front, fat rubber in the rear and a stripped interior, this this is made to go very fast in a straight line. Next, there's a stock Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat boasting 707 horsepower. Plus, host Jessi Lang has her dog riding shotgun for the race. A Chevy Sonic RS with some body mods, downpipe and intake is also competing. Finally, the most bizarre of the quartet is a custom 1958 Jeep Forward Control with a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 and treads to replace the wheels. Obviously, the Blasphemi and Hellcat are the only two that really have a chance of winning, but check out the video to see which one crosses the finish line first. 2003-04 Dodge Viper recalled for sudden airbag deployment

Fri, 15 Feb 2013

As if driving the old Dodge Viper (not the fancy new SRT model) isn't intimidating enough, imagine trying to wrangle that V10 beast and then suddenly having the airbags deploy. Yikes. That's apparently what could happen to some 3,660 Viper models from the 2003 and 2004 model years, and as such, Chrysler has issued a recall.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, part of the car's airbag control module may fail, causing the bags or seatbelt pre-tensioners to deploy without warning while the vehicle is in operation. That's a dangerous scenario in any car, let alone one offering insane horsepower a near-total paucity of safety nannies should things get squirrely.
Owners will be notified this month about the recall, though a remedy is not expected to be available until later this year. Scroll down for the full NHTSA statement.
