1966 Dodge Coronet 500, 2 door hardtop project car. Clear Title.
Excellent virtually cancer-free, with the exception of the left rear behind the wheel opening as shown in the photo. Frame rails, suspension, under the hood and under the trunk lid are in excellent condition with only the normal surface rust.
Exterior body has minor dings and dents, but they appear to be repairable. Wheel-opening trim may need to be replaced, rest of trim looks good.
Glass is all very good and windows work.
Interior is complete but in need of restoration. Floor pans and trunk pans are solid with surface rust only, with no known cancer. Car is missing the ignition switch, heater controls and radio and the dash pad has several cracks. I do not have any keys. The odometer shows 99,500, but I have no idea as to its accuracy or if it has turned over.
I was told the engine ran when I got the car, but I have not been able to verify that. Someone helped themselves to the
2-bbl carb and the radiator so those are not with the car. Also missing some hoses ,sparkplug wires etc. I was also told the tranny was working properly, but again, I can't verify that. Power steering, manual brakes will pump up, so they probably need bled. Right rear tire has a slow leak, other tires are rollers only. Chrome wheels are showing their age and have some surface rust.
Please check out the pictures carefully. Everything I have to this car and everything that is included with this auction is in the pictures, nothing more.
This is an old car that will need plenty of TLC but has the potential of becoming a very desirable collectible and compared to many cars I've seen on eBay, a relatively easy restoration.
This is a NO RESERVE auction, please bid responsibly, knowing that your bid may be the winning bid. I reserve the right to cancel bids I don't consider honest (no feedback, poor feedback, etc). If that happens to you, contact me through eBay if you are serious about the car. Please note that I also reserve the right to cancel this auction prior to the final day if a serious cash offer is made and accepted, even though there is no "buy-it-now" price listed. (I will not cancel this auction on the final day).
The car is sold as is/where is with no warranty implied or expressed. I have tried to describe the car as best I can but you should expect that I have unintentionally overlooked some things. If you have a question about the car, please contact me through eBay and I'll answer it if I can, but it may take a day or so (so don't wait until the final auction day to ask).
Shipping arrangements including all associated costs are the responsibility of the winning bidder, although I may be available to assist with loading with some prior notice. The car must be picked up within 7 days of the close of this auction unless other arrangements are agreed to by the seller (me).
A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $500.00 is due and payable within 24 hours of the close of this auction. The balance must be paid within 7 days of the close of this auction (regardless of other shipping arrangements)and may be in the form of CASH.

Are you the Dodge Dart SRT4?
Tue, 08 Jan 2013Dodge has just confirmed that it will be bringing its newest Dart variant, the Dart GT, to Detroit next week, but we're still in the dark about when we'll see a truly hotted-up SRT4 version. But now, by way of the rumormill anyway, we've got at least one proposed, potentially Dodge-based rendering to light our way.
Seen here is what would appear to be a design sketch of the SRT4 Dart. Obviously the image that has surfaced is of rather low-resolution, but there's at least some evidence to support that it may be legitimate. In the original picture, one can just make out the name Tim Doyle in the lower right corner. As it turns out, Tim Doyle's name is also watermarked on the final design image for the 2011 Dodge Durango Citadel Black & Tan, a model that was shown at SEMA in 2010.
Of course, even if this really is the work of Doyle, there's nothing to say that this image isn't one of a great many potential looks for the future SRT4. In fact, the departure of the cross-hair grille from the Dodge's nose seems like it could be a hard sell, though we do, naturally, dig the sleek hood scoop and the bulked up wheel/tire combination.
Explore Dom's 1970 'off-road' Dodge Charger from Furious 7
Fri, Apr 3 2015The Aficionauto, Christopher Rutkowski, already drove Dom's 1970 Dodge Charger from Fast & Furious and Fast Five. Now he's returning to the franchise for an interview with Dennis McCarthy, the vehicle coordinator on the last five Fast and Furious films, plus a close look at the custom off-road Charger that's one of the automotive stars in Furious 7. Given his resume, when McCarthy admits this is his new all-time favorite vehicle from the franchise, it really means something. Don't worry. McCarthy is careful not to spoil any of the film's action while he shows off the Charger and Shaw's fast attack vehicle that takes on the Dodge. McCarthy does reveal the one car that he still dreams to build for the series, and it's something that every fan should see. This looks like a fantastic blockbuster movie season for anyone that loves to watch cars crash and explode on the big screen. Furious 7 is in theaters right now, and based on the trailer, it promises the biggest stunts ever from the long-running franchise. And in just a few weeks, Mad Max: Fury Road hits cinemas to add a dystopian tinge to the automotive action. Legacy Classic Power Wagon First Drive
Wed, Oct 7 2015Shortly before the US entered World War II, Dodge supplied the military with a line of pickups internally codenamed WC, those letters designating the year 1941 and the half-ton payload rating. From 1941 to 1945 Dodge built more than a quarter million of them, and even though "WC" came to refer to the Weapons Carrier body style, the WC range served in 38 different configurations from pickup trucks to ambulances to six-wheeled personnel and weapons haulers. The story is that soldiers returning from active duty badgered Dodge for a civilian version of that indefatigable warhorse, so Dodge responded with the Power Wagon in 1946. Even for those no-nonsense times the truck was so austere that the first three names Dodge gave it were "Farm Utility Truck," "WDX General Purpose Truck," and "General Purpose, One Ton Truck." "Power Wagon" was the fourth choice, not finalized until just before it went on sale. Nothing like today's Power Wagon, the original could be seen as either a glorified tractor or a slightly less uncouth military vehicle – hell-for-leather meant going 50 miles per hour. But it would go nearly anywhere. The civilian version was still built like it had to survive, well, a world war; power take-offs (PTOs) ran all manner of ancillaries; multiplicative gear ratios helped it produce enough torque to make an earthquake envious. Said to be the first civilian 4x4 truck made in America, any organization that needed a simple, sturdy mechanized draught animal knew it needed a Power Wagon. If that history, the aura of war, and the ruthless functionality attract you but the mean comforts and 70-year-old manners don't, then you need to get in touch with Legacy Classic Trucks. The Jackson Hole, WY, restorer retains every ounce of the Power Wagon's orchard-work aptitude, decorated with present-day amenities and the best components. Each job starts with having to find a usable donor. The city of Breckenridge, CO, bought the red truck in our gallery in 1947 and used it as a snowplow for the next 30 years. In 1977 a log-home builder bought it from the city and used it for another decade as a company hauler. That's the kind of grueling longevity that lets Ram put a five-figure premium on the 2500 Power Wagon pickup it sells today. Legacy Classics founder Winslow S.
