On the 4th Picture down You will notice a play button in the center of the picture press it and watch away it’s a 15 to 25 minute Video of This Car!! 1951 Dodge Coronet Here is a nice 51 Coronet that will make a great project car. Check out my store for more great Unique and Classic Cars. Make sure and check out the Video below. This is a nice clean bodies car that is the perfect car to start your project with. It is all original and just needs someone to put a little TLC into it. The car has the original 3.8L 6cyl. engine. It is a Gyro-Matic. I was told that it turns over and everything spins freely but it is a 6v car and I didn't have a battery at the time so I'm not sure on that. The radiator is missing and a couple other things. This would be a nice one to get the original engine running or pull it out and put something newer and more modern in. The car is a clean California Black Plate car. Make sure to watch the video I do a complete walk around of the car inside and out. The exterior of this car is nice and straight which is what you want. This car does not have much for rust at all mainly surface rust where the paint is gone. It has all of the original parts and I really believe that it could be original paint as well. It hasn't been all hacked up or repaired it's just a clean original car. The roof has a tecture to it and I'm not sure if that was factory or it was done somewhere down the line. The chrome on the front of the car is very nice and has a nice shine to it. The back chrome is a little worse off and peeling as you can see. Has all the original wheel covers which is nice. It will need tires at some point also. Options: Automatic Transmission Gyro-Matic 3.8L 6cyl. The interior is nice on this car and in good condition. I think that is was probably redone at some point. It does show some wear just like any older car but I'm not sure if the seats and such are all original. The front seats are dry and do have some cracking and the back seats are in good condition and don't show a lot of wear. The carpets are in good condition but do have some stains. Overall a nice clean car on the inside that will clean up nicely. This is just a clean classic car that makes a great project car. I took pictures of every detail of this car so you can get the full picture and know exactly what you are getting. If there is any other questions or any other pictures you would like please let us know. Call anytime with questions…. Performance doesn't matter anymore, it's all about the feel
Wed, Aug 24 2022We've just had a week of supercars and high-end EVs revealed. Many of them boast outrageous performance specs. There were multiple vehicles with horsepower in the four-figure range, and not just sports cars, but SUVs with 0-60 mph times under 3.5 seconds. And it's not just a rarified set of supercar builders, comparatively small tuners are also building this stuff. Going fast is easy nowadays and getting easier. So what will distinguish the greats from the wannabes? It's all about how a car feels. This may seem obvious. "Of course it matters that a car should have good steering feel and a playful chassis!" you say. "Why are you being paid for this stuff?" But a lot of automakers have missed the memo. This past week I spent some time in a BMW M4 Competition convertible, and it's a perfect example of prioritizing performance over experience. It boggles my mind how a company can create such dead and disconnected steering; the weight never changes, there's no feel whatsoever. The chassis is inflappable, but to a fault, because it doesn't feel like anything you're doing is difficult or exciting. The car is astoundingly fast and capable, but it feels less like driving a car and more like tapping in a heading on the Enterprise-D. I also happened to drive something of comparable performance that was much more enjoyable: a Mercedes-AMG GT. It was a basic model with the Stealth Edition blackout package, and even though it had a twin-turbo V8 instead of a six-cylinder, it only made 20 more horsepower. The power wasn't the big differentiator, it was (say it with me) the feel. While not the best example, the steering builds resistance as you dial in lock, giving you a better idea of what's happening up front. Pulses and vibrations come back to you as you move over bumpy pavement in corners. The chassis isn't quite as buttoned down, either, providing a little bit of body roll that tells you you're pushing it. It's also easier to feel when the car is wanting to understeer or oversteer, and how your throttle and steering inputs are affecting it. The whole thing is much more involving, exciting and fun. 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Stealth Edition View 8 Photos That's also to say nothing of the Merc's sounds. That V8 is maybe not the best sounding engine, but its urgent churn through the opened-up exhaust gets your heart racing. It also seems like it's vibrating the whole cabin, so you feel it as much as you hear it.
2014 Challenger R/T Shaker, Mopar '14 Challenger bring back iconic hood
Tue, 05 Nov 2013Enamored of the Dodge Challenger but wish you could get one with a shaker hood? We've got good news, because Dodge and Mopar have teamed up to bring it back.
The 2014 Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker packs the same 5.7-liter Hemi V8 as the standard Challenger R/T, but upgrades the business end with a through-the-hood exposed cold-air intake system. The retro hood scoop protrudes from the center of the hood in satin black (matching the decklid spoiler) to feed the Hemi and shakes with the engine just like the original from 1970. The Shaker model also comes with a Super Track Pak that adds a new steering rack, brake linings, shocks and 20-inch Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Car rubber. You can also shut off the stability management system completely in this car. A series of interior and exterior trim enhancements round out the look. The whole package adds $2,500 to the price of a Challenger R/T Classic for an all-in MSRP of $36,995.
In case that's not enough, Dodge is also offering a limited-edition Mopar Challenger that follows the 2010 Mopar Challenger, 2011 Mopar Charger, 2012 Mopar 300 and 2013 Mopar Dart. Limited to just 100 examples, the 2014 Mopar Challenger gets the same Shaker hood intake, unique graphics and wheels, an enhanced interior and a long list of optional extras from the Mopar parts catalog. Dodge isn't saying just yet how much the Mopar Challenger will cost, but you can bet it will command a considerable premium for the exclusivity alone.
Will GM leave Europe? | Autoblog Podcast #504
Fri, Feb 17 2017On this week's podcast, Greg Migliore joins David Gluckman to discuss the possibility of GM selling off its Opel division to France's PSA (also known as Peugeot and Citroen). They also recap what they've all been driving lately, and the episode wraps up with Spend My Money buying advice to help you, our dear listeners. And, thankfully, no dad jokes this week. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want buying advice of your very own, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com. (If you record audio of a question with your phone and get it to us, you could hear your very own voice on the podcast. Neat, right?)
