McLaren 650S Spider wrecked in multi-vehicle crash in LA
Wed, Nov 2 2016A multi-vehicle crash in Los Angeles left a $280,000- McLaren 650S Spider mangled and two hospitalized, reports KTLA5. The Los Angeles Police Department suspects street racing caused the incident. The crash occurred just outside of Hale Charter Academy in Woodlawn Hills on Tuesday night. According to eyewitness statements, the 650S Spider was traveling at a high rate of speed in a race against a black Dodge Charger or Challenger before colliding with an Audi (possibly an A6), leaving the Audi heavily damaged. The Dodge fled the scene before police arrived. Roadkill builds crazy-cheap 1968 Dodge Charger rat rod using an old motorhome
Tue, 24 Dec 2013Certain requests for description simply cannot be fulfilled, like if someone asked you to describe Picasso's Guernica or Gilliam's Brazil. There is only one appropriate answer to such entreaties, and that is: "You just gotta see it." That's where we are with the latest episode of Roadkill, wherein Messr's Freiburger and Finnegan dig out a 1968 Dodge Charger that Freiburger acquired in exchange for a set of cylinder heads, and intend to stuff it with the big-block motor from a long-bed, three-quarter ton Dodge pickup.
Only the pickup is too nice to tear apart, and the Charger needs a whole lot more lovin' - and parts - than initially expected. Enter, stage right, the Class A Dodge Pace Arrow motorhome with a 440 big-block purchased for $1,000, and a retired Plymouth Fury from a previous episode.
What ensues over the course of the 40-minute installment is more cuttin', yankin', leakin', stallin', hammerin' and smokin' action than you've seen in a long time, and some techniques that would have made even Cooter wonder, "I'm not sure if we should do that." 1 Of 1 Dodge Viper looks a fabulous mess in Chicago
Fri, Feb 13 2015Earlier this year, we told you about the new Dodge Viper 1 Of 1 program, which offers buyers the chance to customize their supercars to the tune of some 25 million different combinations. With 8,000 paint colors, 24,000 hand-painted stripe patterns, 10 wheel options, and 16 interior trims to choose from, you'd be right to think that the possibilities for personalization are endless, and can probably get a little weird. That's kind of what's going on here in Chicago, with a Viper showcar that's definitely... unique. It doesn't really look bad, necessarily. It's just kind of strange. We call this color job, "Oh no, there are tiny paint cans falling from the sky, but I simply can't stop driving 200 miles per hour."
