2006 Dodge Charger R/t - 5.7l Hemi on 2040-cars
Houston, Texas, United States
Up for sale is a 2006 Dodge Charger R/T HEMI with low miles at 57,900. This car has been covered and driven once a week for the past two years. The Check Engine Light is currently on as detailed earlier. The downstream o2 sensors need to be replaced, as well as the passenger side catalytic converter. Mangaflow cats run from $50+, and the sensors at Autozone are $24 each. Install for the catalytic converters will run you $75 total at most shops. Easy fixes, but I do not have the time, unfortunately.
A K&N Cold Air Intake adds horsepower, Increased gas mileage, and a more aggressive tone. The Charger does not have mufflers at this time, which means less restriction and an amazing exhaust sound. Trust me, this thing turns heads(In a great way). Brand new window tinting all the way around was recently put on, and there is a new battery as well. The vehicle currently has 22" American Heritage wheels on it; however, I also have the original factory 5 spoke wheels and tires upon your request. They have MAYBE 8,000 miles on them. Scuffs on the current 22's will tell you they were used daily at one time. Clear title in hand!! Registration and inspection are out of date due to the car essentially being garaged the past couple of years. Because of these issues and the check engine light, this Charger is priced accordingly! My loss is your gain!! Add a new camshaft and this thing will smoke a Dodge Charger SRT. This is a great base to build up and soup up!! |

Chrysler recalling 780k minivans over fire risk
Fri, 09 May 2014Chrysler is recalling 780,000 of its Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans from the 2010 to 2014 model years due to the possibility of circuits overheating, which can lead to a fire. Of the 780,000 total vans being recalled, Chrysler estimates that 644,850 are in the US, 106,980 are in Canada, 8,009 are in Mexico, and 20,638 are in other markets. All of the affected vehicles were built between August 25, 2010 and October 31, 2013.
Chrysler's engineers discovered that beverage spills or exposure to moisture (from rain, snow, car washes, and the like) were linked to circuits shorting in the window switch assembly. Short circuits can overheat, and thus, cause a fire.
Chrysler will contact owners and let them know when they may schedule service, at which point, the window switches will be replaced. In the interim, the automaker says that owners may visit their dealers after May 14 to have the switches disconnected.
Fiat Chrysler CEO says final merger talks with Peugeot going well
Thu, Jan 23 2020BRUSSELS — Fiat Chrysler's chief executive Michael Manley said on Wednesday that merger talks with Peugeot owner PSA to create the world's No. 4 carmaker are progressing well and he hopes to have a deal within 12-14 months. Speaking to Reuters on the sidelines of an industry meeting, he said he doesn't expect any major obstacles that could delay a final agreement. "Talks are progressing really well," Manley said about negotiations with the French carmaker ahead of a briefing by the European automotive association (ACEA), of which he is president. His comments come a month after the two carmakers agreed to a binding deal worth about $50 billion to combine forces in response to a slowdown in global demand and mounting costs of making cleaner vehicles amid tighter emissions regulations. Manley's timeline for completing the deal by early 2021 is in line with a forecast made by the companies in December. Fiat and Peugeot are now getting into the details of how the merger will work, including choosing which vehicle platforms — the technological underpinnings of a vehicle — will fit which products in a combined company. Because customers in different locations still prefer vastly different cars, there is room for multiple platforms in a combined group, Manley said. "That global platform is an elusive beast," he added. "This concept of a massive global platform in my mind is almost a myth, but that doesnÂ’t mean to say weÂ’re not going to recruit significant volume." Related Video:  Â
FCA CEO Mike Manley will take undefined new role after PSA merger
Wed, Dec 18 2019MILAN — Fiat Chrysler Chief Executive Mike Manley will remain with the new group set to result from a planned merger with French rival PSA-Peugeot, Chairman John Elkann said on Wednesday. In a letter to Fiat Chrysler (FCA) employees on the day the two companies announced a binding agreement for a $50 billion tie-up to create the world's fourth-largest carmaker, Elkann said he was "delighted" that the combined group would be led by current PSA CEO Carlos Tavares. "And Mike Manley, who has led FCA with huge energy, commitment and success over the past year, will be there alongside him," he said. He did not say what position Manley would hold. Elkann — who will chair the new group — said there was still much to be done to complete the merger. "Over the coming months we must work tirelessly and determinedly to fulfill all the approval requirements needed to finalize the commitment we have signed," he said.
