Up for sale today is a 1971 Dodge Charger that I saved. I really wish there was more there to offer, and that it was in better condition, but at least it's going to be a start or a good parts car.

Please check out the pictures as much as possible, because I don't know anything about the history of this car. It was parked about just over 30 years ago by the man I got it from. He used to buy cars and sell parts during the late 70's and early 80's and this car got somewhat lost in the mix since then. The interior seats are in the car, but the back seat is removed just laying in the rear. The car used to have a 318 according to the vin decoder, but now there is no trans, no engine, and no drive shaft in the car. There is a rear axle, but the car is currently sitting on it instead of it being bolted in place. I am not a Dodge person, but I believe the axle in the pictures is the one for the car. It goes with it, of course. The steering column is in the front bench seat area and is there. The dashboard was removed about a decade ago I was told and was laid on top of the car. If you notice, the top of the car has been stood on by people canvassing the yard where the car was at and has been dented inward. There is also a dent on the drivers side fender. Other than those two areas, the car actually appears very straight. There is plenty of rust as it has been sitting outside in NC for 30+ years, but it has been on tires so hopefully it's too gone. There was a bad spot I noticed on both A pillars as you can see in the pictures. The deck lid and rear area seemed to be straight and in decent shape. It looks as if this car was used as parts for someone else many, many moons ago and forgotten since then. Now is your chance to bring this back to it's previous glory for your next restoration project car, or use it for parts for the car you have now. There is no title to the vehicle as it has been parked for over 30 years. The vehicle will be sold with a notarized NC bill of sale only. You are responsible for obtaining a title for the vehicle on your own if you intend to eventually register the vehicle as it is being sold for restoration or parts only. I've tried to show the car the best I can in the pictures. The passenger door didn't open for me so I couldn't get pics from that side. As you can see, I didn't clean the vehicle at all and what you are seeing is what you get. If you need any specific pictures or have to have me check anything, please give me a day or two to respond as the car is a 45 minute drive one way for me. Thank you and happy bidding on this NO RESERVE auction!

Will Dodge limit 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat to 1,200 units?

Sun, 20 Jul 2014

With over 700 horsepower on tap and a price tag barely over $60k, Dodge appears on paper to have a winner on its hands with the new Challenger SRT Hellcat. But if you want to get your hands on one, you may have to act quicker than this most powerful of muscle cars covers the quarter-mile.
That's because, according to our compatriots over at Edmunds, Dodge may limit production - in the first year, at least - to just 1,200 units. That would amount to barely a quarter of the Challengers that Dodge moves each month, and would also mean only one Hellcat for every two Dodge dealers in the US - which could lead to some serious contention over which stores and which customers can get their hands on the ultimate Challenger.
Reached for comment, SRT spokesman Dan Reid told Autoblog that "there is no plan to limit production of the Challenger Hellcat," echoing the words of Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis who told Edmunds: "We don't know what the market demand is." Which doesn't mean that it won't restrict production, but doesn't mean that it will, either. It just hasn't decided yet - or announced any such decision, at any rate - over what will be the final allocation strategy for what could be a game-changing muscle car. That is, at least, until new versions of the Mustang and Camaro come along in pursuit of Dodge's bragging rights...

Dodge celebrates big B-day with 100th Anniversary Editions muscle cars

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

Being in business for 100 years is a HUGE milestone, so we hope Dodge has more in mind to celebrate its centennial than just a special edition package for the 2014 Charger and Challenger. Called the 100th Anniversary Edition package, this collection of cosmetic enhancements will be available in limited quantities for both cars at a cost of $2,500.
Ordering a Charger or Challenger with the 100th Anniversary Edition package means starting with either a V6-powered SXT Plus or V8-powered R/T Plus model. They can each be ordered in many colors, but only the High-Octane Red Pearl Coat above is an anniversary exclusive. Each car also comes with an anniversary-exclusive set of 20-inch, five-spoke wheels with what Dodge calls "Granite Crystal pockets," a texture that's also mirrored on each car's grille.
Of course, there are commemorative badges galore affixed to the exterior of each car, including "Dodge Est. 1914" fender badges and "100" logos on the center caps of each wheel. The styling theme of each car's interior is a bit more interesting, with Dodge designers trying to evoke "the patina and machinist legacy of John and Horace Dodge," the company's founders. To that end, the leather interior can be had in Molten Red or Foundry Black Nappa, and each features a custom cloud overprint that makes the hide look like a working man's dirty dungarees. Designers also used brass-colored accent stitching on the interior's leather trim pieces, and affixed more "Dodge Est. 1914" badges to the front seat backs and floor mats. We do like the flat-bottomed steering wheel, and the Challenger 100th Anniversary Edition gets exclusive white gauges faces and the Charger black. The "100" on each car's speedometer is also highlighted in red.
