1969 Dodge Charger, perfect project ready for restoration. 318 Engine purrs like a kitten, shifts good, car appears to be all original missing nothing but the radio , some a/c components, and some dash items (see pictures). I have all the trim for the rear window, removed to show the condition. Fender tag, but no build sheet under rear seat (mouse got it). The original door panel tops are in fantastic condition, best I've had. Dash pad has no cracks. I hate to sell it, was going to go with a General Lee clone but decided not to go that route with this one. The car is super straight, hood, fenders doors all look great. Top was vinyl and has typical rust issues, front edge looks great but around rear window it's rough and lead seams need some attention, again just typical stuff for these vinyl top cars. I was going to fix, but decided to list this one time as is before repairs as I prefer to see things before they are covered up. Center console is broken. The brakes need work, but I will insure at least the front brakes will work to be loaded onto a transport. Motor runs really good, shift is crisp, but the brakes definitely need attention. I drained the old gas, changed the oil, some mechanical attention on the car. Turn signals work, brake lights work, headlights turn on but the covers take about 5 minutes to finally open. It's a vacuum thing, have not dug into it. The light under the dash works, first one I've had that that actually worked. Trunk floor is rough, needs lower quarter patches, and the work around the rear window. Floors have some holes. Car had undercoating, so frame rails etc look great. Look at the pinch welds and seams underneath, really nice on this car. I am an honest Ebayer and expect the same from potential buyers. I have sold a number of cars and motorcycles over the past 10 years and have no problem working with international buyers, please check my excellent feedback. All funds must post before the car will leave my garage. I have sold a couple of cars this year to help pay for a few projects in the works, and have a couple more to sell. Car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. Thanks for looking and happy bidding! |

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat #0001 raises $825,000 for charity
Sun, 28 Sep 2014$60,000 doesn't strike us as a lot to pay for a muscle car with 707 horsepower on tap. $825,000... now that's a different story. But, according to the official SRT blog, that's how much one generous and eager buyer paid for the privilege of getting his (or her) hands on the very first new Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
Decked out in Stryker Red paint that's usually reserved for the Viper, the supercharged Challenger bearing the VIN 0001 went up for auction at the Mandalay Bay hotel and casino in Las Vegas on Saturday under the auspices of Barrett-Jackson. By the time bidding ended, the gavel dropped at $825,000 - nearly 14 times the sticker price - 100 percent of which will benefit Opportunity Vehicle, a charity that aids the intellectually handicapped in the Las Vegas Area.
Dodge performance trio thrashed on Roadkill
Tue, Apr 14 2015Of all the shows that Motor Trend does, Roadkill is probably the last one we'd pick to evaluate the latest performance automobiles. That's not a slight against David Freiburger or Mike Finnegan, who host the show: they're certified gear-heads and the go-to guys when it comes to hot rods, rat rods and anything grungier than it is shiny. But as exemplary as they are of Detroit muscle, the Charger Hellcat, Challenger Hellcat and Viper are also shiny new pieces of metal. Still, since it will now be sponsoring the show, someone at Dodge apparently thought it would be a good idea to hand Freiburger and Finnegan the keys to the company's top performance models. So to ring the best out of them, they solicited help from some of their colleagues at MT, gained access to a closed-down air strip, devised as many ways as they could to destroy the tires, and proceeded to set about doing exactly that. Watch the grin-inducing mayhem unfold in the half-hour clip above. Related Video:
We drive the cars of Furious 7... in Forza Horizon 2 [w/video]
Thu, Apr 9 2015On March 27, Turn 10 Studios, the folks behind the Forza Motorsport series, and Universal Pictures, the studio responsible for the Fast and Furious franchise, gave us a match made in heaven, announcing a "standalone expansion" featuring the two franchises. Called Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast and Furious, it features the cars from the latest film installment, unique missions and the voice-acting of Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, who plays tech guru Tej Parker on camera. A Fast and Furious video game? Seems like a no brainer. It gets better. Rather than limiting the Fast and Furious Edition cars to the expansion game, Turn 10 made them available through one of their (some may say notorious) downloadable content packages. Eight of the expansion's 11 cars were made available for just $4.99 (the only cars that weren't included were the Fast and Furious Edition Nissan GT-R, while the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport and McLaren P1 are already available in-game). What's cool ais that the cars featured in both games are visually identical to the vehicles driven by the stars of Furious 7. Each in-game car has an on-screen parallel that plays a role in advancing the film's story. Considering that we're unlikely to score seat time in Dominic Toretto's real Dodge Charger, then, we figured we'd take to the game and test the car in the digital realm. We've got nine little cluster reviews, covering the cars both in the game and how they appear in the movies. And don't worry, there are no major spoilers here. Click on for the cars of Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast and Furious. 1970 Dodge Charger R/T Fast and Furious Edition Supercharged 7.2L V8 / 900 HP / 663 LB-FT The one vehicle that is mandatory in a Fast and Furious video game, Dom's hot-rodded 1970 Dodge Charger, is as much a character in the films as its driver. Furious 7 marks the fourth appearance of this Mopar beast in the series. Not surprisingly it's a handful to drive, wildly quick and with a four-speed transmission packed full of very tall gears. But beyond that, it's arguably the coolest of the FF Edition cars. This black beauty is exactly as it appears in the latest installment of the film, with the video game version featuring intricate little details, like the moving parts on the BDS supercharger. It's an iconic car, and it's treated as such in the game.
