Rare Toxic Orange Pearlcoat 2011 Dodge Challenger Srt8 392 on 2040-cars
Nashville, Tennessee, United States
This is a rare find. This 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 features Toxic Orange Pearlcoat paint - a color that was only offered for 2011. It's also rare to find an SRT8 model without stripes. She's all grown up.
Her 392 CID V8 SRT HEMI Engine churns out 470 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque via a six-speed manual transmission with pistol grip. But there's luxury too. Your power 6-way driver seat, with 4-way lumbar support, along with your front passenger's seat, are heated. There's even customized interior footwell lighting with a dozen different color choices! The 730N CD/DVD/MP3 HDD Media Center boasts a 30 GB Hard Drive for music and pictures, a single CD drive, a DVD player, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, and a Navigation system! Best of all, the sound system will blow your mind! How about a 322-Watt Kicker Amplifier, a 200-Watt Kicker Subwoofer (trunk mounted), and 13 Kicker High-Performance Speakers!!! There's also a long list of add-ons that don't show up on the sticker: Transferrable LoJack Recovery System installed and active (for lifetime of the vehicle) Transferrable Multi-Shield Wheel & Tire Protection Plan (4 years remaining) Transferrable First Place Finish Exterior Paint/Interior Fabric Warranty (2 years remaining) Aftermarket Challenger-labeled Vehicle Cover Aftermarket Full Size Spare Tire Kit (Challengers normally only carry fix-a-flat and a compressor) Mopar Dealer-installed rear infrared parking sensors. With fewer than 20,000 miles, she's barely been broken in. So, why would I sell such an amazing vehicle? Honestly, I thought I would keep her for decades. In reality, I have three tweens/teens who are growing like weeds, and although that back seat DOES have three seatbelts (something you will not find in any Camaro or Mustang), it's getting a little tight. It's time for me to daddy-up and get a three-row SUV for the kids and their friends. Oh, did I mention that others are offering a very similar car, with 32,000 miles, for $45,950??? Dodge Viper returning to Le Mans this year?
Mon, Jan 5 2015If you were among the fans disappointed by Chrysler's recent decision to end the Dodge Viper's racing program, we may have some good news for you, as the racing outfit behind the campaign is reportedly working to bring the American supercars back to Le Mans this year. That racing outfit is Riley Technologies, a constructor perhaps best known for its Daytona Prototypes, but it has also prepared its share of GT racers, too. Chrysler charged Riley with leading its racing program for the new Viper GTS-R, campaigned it in the United SportsCar Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Auburn Hills made the unfortunate decision back in March to pull its Vipers out of Le Mans, and then in October to withdraw from the US series, as well, thereby effectively ending the program altogether. Disappointed though it surely was, Riley remains defiant. The North Carolina-based company is planning on taking the existing Vipers back to Le Mans on its own, with or without factory support. The Viper has, after all, proven a capable machine, having taken both the drivers' and teams' titles in the United SportsCar Championship this past season. "With Le Mans, every driver and every manufacturer needs to have their first trip there, and it isn't always what you want it to be, but we did show reliability and did have some pace," Bill Riley told Racer.com. "Since then, we've worked hard on the cars, they're now strong, front-running cars in the US, and we're working with the ACO on the BoP to make sure the cars are strong at Le Mans. They're super-reliable and fast, and we'd expect to be right in the mix with the other cars." Riley has kept the existing support staff in place, and once it secures its driver lineup and sponsors, chances look good that it could represent America well at Le Mans this year in either the GTE Pro or GTE Am class. Its predecessor did, after all, complete a three-year winning streak that saw it dominate the GTS class right up until its withdrawal in 2000. FCA and Peugeot reportedly agree on merger
Wed, Oct 30 2019Citing a Wall Street Journal report, the Detroit Free Press says "Fiat Chrysler and PSA Groupe have agreed to merge." The Journal reported on talks between the two car companies only yesterday. It's said that Peugeot's board met yesterday to approve the deal, FCA's board met today, and an announcement could come as soon as tomorrow, Thursday. Both automakers have released statements, but neither company has released any information beyond admitting to ongoing talks. If the merger happens, the combined entity would become the world's fourth-largest carmaker with a $50 billion valuation, slotting in behind Toyota, the Volkswagen Group, and the Renault Nissan Mitsubishi alliance. Among the merger options possible, "an all-stock merger of equals" is the one analysts and Moody's seem to give the best grade. The reported merger would come about four months after FCA walked away from merger talks with Renault. FCA said the French government scuppered those talks over the role of Nissan in a reformed entity, but there were also brewing issues with French unions, and ongoing turmoil among Renault and Nissan leadership thanks to continuing fallout from ex-CEO Carlos Ghosn's arrest last year. FCA makes most of its revenue in the U.S. and rules Italy, while Peugeot is the second-best-selling automaker in Europe with its own brand in France and Opel in Germany. The two companies already have a partnership in Europe making vans, one that FCA CEO Mike Manley has spoken highly of. Among the list of obvious benefits in a potential merger, FCA would get access to Peugeot's small, modern platforms, $10.2 billion in cash, and electrified and hybrid architecture developments, the latter especially important to FCA as those are fields where it lags. Peugeot would get much easier access to the U.S. market, and the money-printing brands Jeep and Ram. A merged carmaker would have combined sales of nearly 9 million a year, based on 2018 results. By comparison, both Volkswagen and Toyota sell over 10 million cars a year, while the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance almost 11 million. Peugeot CEO Carlos Tavares has proved he knows how to do turnarounds and mergers. After leaving a position as Carlos Ghosn's right-hand man in 2012, Tavares took over Peugeot in 2014, navigated a bailout from the French government and China's Dongfeng Motors in 2015, and turned PSA into a regional powerhouse.
Are you the Dodge Dart SRT4?
Tue, 08 Jan 2013Dodge has just confirmed that it will be bringing its newest Dart variant, the Dart GT, to Detroit next week, but we're still in the dark about when we'll see a truly hotted-up SRT4 version. But now, by way of the rumormill anyway, we've got at least one proposed, potentially Dodge-based rendering to light our way.
Seen here is what would appear to be a design sketch of the SRT4 Dart. Obviously the image that has surfaced is of rather low-resolution, but there's at least some evidence to support that it may be legitimate. In the original picture, one can just make out the name Tim Doyle in the lower right corner. As it turns out, Tim Doyle's name is also watermarked on the final design image for the 2011 Dodge Durango Citadel Black & Tan, a model that was shown at SEMA in 2010.
Of course, even if this really is the work of Doyle, there's nothing to say that this image isn't one of a great many potential looks for the future SRT4. In fact, the departure of the cross-hair grille from the Dodge's nose seems like it could be a hard sell, though we do, naturally, dig the sleek hood scoop and the bulked up wheel/tire combination.
