Green 1970 Dodge Challenger, Runs, 383 Big Block, 727, Autometer Gauges, Msd 6al on 2040-cars
San Mateo, California, United States
1970 Dodge Challenger SE, Has a 383ci Big Block, Runs strong and in good condition. I Believe the motor has about 25,xxx miles on it, the odometer did not work when I bought the car. Motor currently has a mild cam and a Edlebrock torker intake and 650CFM Edlebrock Carb with manuel Choke, Full MSD 6AL System Box, Coil, Distributor, and wires, has MOPAR performance valve covers, and Headman Headers Feeding a full 3" exhaust with 70 series Flowmasters exiting the car in the T/A position. Odometer currently shows 2,870mi since the trans was replaced with a rebuilt 727 with a Semi-auto valve body and Reds racing clutches and steels, also has a 1,500 RPM TCI Stall Converter. Controlled by a Hurst Quarter Stick 2 shifter. Has 8 3/4" rear end with what I believe are 3.73 gears. Interior has White front seats and black rear, also is missing seat backs for fronts. I did replace the original gauge set with all Auto Meter gauges Sport-Comp series. The carpet is good and the seats are in good shape other than the mismatch in color. I replaced the trunk pans, the new ones have some surface rust but are solid. I replaced the old fuel tank with a 16 gal fuel cell with a rear sump pick up. Paint is sublime green with a green pearl over it. Has R/T hood with scoop inserts painted flat black. Door panels in good shape. rear wheels are 1970 era daisy Mags 15x7. All windows roll up and down, front windshield replaced when the paint was done. Car has a lot of good additions but is still in need of some work, mostly cosmetic.

Experience the Woodward Dream Cruise in a Dodge Challenger Hellcat
Thu, Aug 20 2015While Autoblog was consumed by coverage of the increasingly important Monterey Car Week last weekend, there was another big even going on. The Woodward Dream Cruise is significantly lighter in terms of news, but there's no denying that it's a far bigger, and far more egalitarian than what the wine-and-cheese crowd experience on the links at Pebble Beach. The Dream Cruise crams tens of thousands of cars and over a million spectators along a four-lane ribbon of asphalt between Ferndale and Pontiac, MI. What's remarkable aren't these numbers, though, so much as the distances they travel. Owners and admirers come from far and wide, across the United States and in some cases across the globe, to take in the spectacle. This year, local radio and television coverage featured fans that traveled from Japan, Australia, and Europe, just to take in the cruise. Of course, we realize that not everyone can make the pilgrimage to Woodward Avenue. With that fact in mind, we decided to bring a bit of the Dream Cruise to Autoblog with a time-lapse video of the cruise route. You can experience the good (a Lamborghini Gallardo, Chevrolet Chevelle, and Oldsmobile Cutlass 442), the bad (the traffic jams), and the ugly (no, your 2003 Ford Focus does not qualify as a classic, get the hell out of the cruiser lanes). So join us, as we turn off 8 Mile Road behind the wheel of our 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and run north, through Ferndale, Pleasant Ridge, Royal Oak, Huntington Woods, Berkley, Bloomfield Township, and Bloomfield Hills, before ending up on Wide Track Drive in Pontiac.
470,000 Jeep Liberty, Chrysler 200, and Dodge Avenger models recalled for restraint defect
Sat, Oct 14 2017Fiat Chrysler Automobiles said on Friday it is recalling 470,000 vehicles worldwide to replace a component that may inhibit deployment of the vehicles' active head restraints in the event of a crash. Around 414,000 of those vehicles were sold in the United States. Apparently, "a component common to the modules of certain vehicles may degrade after extensive vehicle use." The recall covers 2012 Jeep Liberty sport utility vehicles and 2012-13 Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger midsize cars. FCA says a warning light may alert owners to the problem. The Italian-American automaker said it is unaware of any injuries or accidents related to the recall. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened an investigation into the issue in June. (Reporting by David Shepardson; Editing by Steve Orlofsky) Related Video:
2014 Dodge Durango Ron Burgundy ads already have 2.7M views [w/videos]
Mon, 14 Oct 2013The guy who once made the Dodge Stratus a punchline of sorts is now a spokesman for the 2014 Dodge Durango, and the move appears to be paying off handsomely for Dodge. Will Ferrell, acting as 1970s-era TV news personality Ron Burgundy, has teamed up with the automaker for co-branded advertisements between the refreshed 2014 Durango and Ferrell's new movie, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. Like Ferrell's fictional character, the ads are outrageous, flamboyant and a bit random. They're also successful: Automotive News says that more than 2.7 million people have already watched the videos since they debuted on October 5.
Those views are similar to the numbers that AN's top viral video of the year (e.g. Volkswagen's "Get Happy" Super Bowl ad) received, but there will eventually be as many as 70 videos comprising the Burgundy-Durango spots. According to the report, the videos were created primarily as a viral campaign online, although some are airing on television, too. For Dodge's part, the cost of the videos was significantly lower than a usual television campaign thanks to the fact that Ferrell wasn't paid for the spots since they were made in cooperation with promotional efforts for his new movie.
We've already posted a few of the videos in our previous post, but scroll down for several more - and head over to Adweek for a little added background on how these spots came to be.
