This is an incredible Challenger SRT8, with all the first class modifications that one can make on a streetable Challenger. It is a 2009 SRT-8 Challenger, sold new here in GA, with slightly less than 4800 miles. It has the nicer options you would expect from a modern performance car like Navigation, heated seats, the better audio, etc. I have the window sticker as pictured, as well as the manuals and both keys. It's obviously the Dodge Black Pearl Coat paint, with the matching leather and suede interior. But it's the rest of the stuff that makes your heart pump a little faster....

Here's The Good Stuff:

Almost all these mechanical/performance mods were installed/supervised by SpeedFactory at Landmark Dodge in the Atlanta area, with the receipts to back it up. The best part is the Arrington 426 Hemi conversion. If you are not familiar with their products, check them out at www.shophemi.com. As you can see from the photos, that was apparently not enough, so there is a Vortech V7 YSI Race Supercharger and custom intercooler installed as well. The car is currently making around 900HP on pump gas. It also has the ability, thanks to the custom installed programmer, to de-tune the ECU to run on lesser fuel, or for less "scary". It sounds absolutely fabulous, as it should, with a special exhuast system that includes long tube headers, high output cats and all the plumbing to make it look factory. There's lots more. It has a high quality KW Coilover setup, all properly dialed in and aligned, as well as Hotchkis uprated swaybars from and rear. It also has had the higher strength halfshafts installed as well. How about that custom fuel setup in the trunk? It was custom fabricated at Speedfactory (the factory system just could not keep up), and include the fuel cell, a high output AeroMotive fuel pump and regulator. It's all run through the factory setup, accepts pump gas and works without issue. The further tuning on the ECU and the programmer was done by Diablo Sport, who flew a tech into Atlanta to work on this special car. NOTE: If you live in a tough emissions compliance area, this car may not comply. It runs beautifully and smoothly, but the richness of the fuel system and incredible performance keeps the Check Engine light on, and that is often an automatic fail. Just want to make sure I disclose this.

What else? How about a super nice set of ZE forged 20" wheels with the recommended Nitto rubber, a nice set of Brembo brakes as well as a great looking set of custom dials in the instrument cluster (check the pix). It is neat as a pin on the inside, outside, engine bay and trunk. I also haven't mentioned the custom fabbed hood, as well as the sound deadening installed to make him more "civilized".

This customer has spent roughly 70+ THOUSAND DOLLARS on these mods....and that doesn't include an SRT-8 Challenger to put them on. There is no way you can duplicate this car for this money. If you like the performance stuff, not only can you save TENS of thousands of dollars, but you can save so much time and aggravation since it's already fully sorted and ready to enjoy. Do you know how much time it takes to get all this stuff properly "dialed in" ? Not for you-- You can drive off and start pulling ujp pavement right away!

It is a beautiful, clean, and unique performance car. I have the title in hand, there is no funny business (note that the Autocheck report shows one owner, and it scores 88 on an 83 scale...), and I have been here for 32 years. Check me out at www.encoremacon.com. I am about an hour south of the Atlanta Airport, and can help with transport, etc. I will do my best to make it smooth and fun. More questions, info, etc, just let me know. 100% Ebay feedback. Paypal is OK for the deposit, but wire only for the balance of the purchase (unless prior arrangements are made). If you want to leave the others in your tracks, with class and factory quality work, this is the one.

Dodge offering novel 1-year lease on '14 Challenger and Charger models

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Dodge is just days away from unveiling refreshed versions of the Charger and Challenger at the 2014 New York Auto Show, models promising updated styling and new powertrain options. Depending on how you look at it, the company is either so confident in its forthcoming 2015 models that it's offering an interesting Double-Up lease deal on the current vehicles, or it's so eager to clear out existing stock that it's resorting to novel lease deals. In any case, what they present is an interesting scenario, one which allows buyers to get the existing model right now, and then trade up to the facelifted 2015 models in one year.
Starting April 17, when the refreshed cars debut through the end of August, buyers can lease a 2014 Charger or Challenger for one year and exchange it for a three-year lease on a 2015 model next year, with no additional money down and the same monthly payment. Customers can even switch vehicles when the new lease starts. If drivers want to buy the '15, they get $1,000 off the purchase price. To be eligible, both leases must use the same dealership and be financed through Chrysler Capital. The Double-Up deal excludes the SRT versions of both cars and Charger SE models.
To offset the flood of one-year-old models coming back to dealerships, Dodge has struck a deal with rental car agency Enterprise, which has agreed to buy them all. "One-year leases are highly unusual in the industry," said company spokesperson Ralph Kisiel, and the fleet sale deal is what makes it possible.

Dodge engineers trying to shoehorn Pentastar into Dart?

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

The fact that the Dart's launch has been a pretty dismal affair isn't what we'd call secret. Judging by its mounting inventories and poor critical reception, Dodge's successor to its unloved Caliber has struggled since it hit the market. And while both of those are difficult problems to address, at least their cause is well known - the powertrain.
Even Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne has acknowledged that the powertrain options in the Dart are substandard, admitting at January's Detroit Auto Show that the powertrains are "less than ideal." Leading with the 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder found in the Fiat 500 Abarth left a bad taste in the mouths of consumers thanks to the laggy engine and dead throttle response (to say nothing of the manual and dual-clutch gearboxes that needed more refinement). The addition of the 184-horsepower 2.4-liter Tigershark in the Dart GT has helped matters some, but apparently Auburn Hills doesn't think it's quite enough.
If rumors are to be believed - get that salt ready - a possible solution may be in the works. A report from Allpar is claiming that Dodge is considering fitting a Pentastar V6 into the Dart's engine bay. As the Mopar-obsessed website points out, the critically acclaimed Pentastar is available in three different sizes - 3.0 liters, 3.2 liters and the original 3.6 liters. We don't get the 3.0 here in the US, but the 3.2 can be found in the new Jeep Cherokee and the 3.6 has been seemingly fitted to every model Chrysler can shoehorn it into.
