1973 Dodge Challenger With 340 on 2040-cars
Kennewick, Washington, United States
We are selling a very clean 1973 Dodge Challenger. It has been fully mechanically updated with roller rockers, Edelbrock Perform RPM manifold and cam, Edelbrock carb, headers to a 2.5" exhaust and Davis Unified Igintion, 727 auto transmission with a slap stick shifter, new Mickey Thompson tires with Centerline wheels.
The paint is 2001 Ford Mustang yellow with clear. The strobe on sides is hand stenciled rather than a decal. The paint is amazing, flawless and done by a local shop renowned for their attention to detail and quality of work. Were this paint job to be reproduced today by a quality shop it would be in the $8,000 range. It runs and drives perfect and for all of you wondering, I would not hesitate to drive it long distance. All of the rubber and bushings in the suspension have been replaced along with the weatherstripping. The exhaust sounds great, the interior is great, the engine pulls hard...what's not to love? There aren't a lot of Challengers of this vintage out there, especially one that has been cared for and restored with this level of detail and workmanship. Please message me with any questions. This vehicle is for sale outside of eBay as well and the auction could be terminated without prior warning. The Buyer acknowledges that the Vehicle is being sold “as is,” without warranty, whether express or implied, about the condition of the Vehicle. South Dakota dealer filled to brim with classic cars
Wed, 12 Mar 2014Other than the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and Mount Rushmore, South Dakota isn't generally a hot topic, but that just means that cool stuff can hide in the open waiting to be discovered. Case in point: the classic car dealer Frankman Motor Company that operates three locations in Sioux Falls, SD.
Unearthed by the folks at Bring a Trailer, Frankman is a treasure trove of vintage, American iron. Their collection is full of the type of vehicles your irresponsible but cool uncle would show up with when you were a kid. Even better, these cars are priced at a level a working man can afford.
If you are lusting about a cruiser then Frankman has a 1956 Cadillac Deville Hard Top Sedan (pictured right) with 82,896 miles for $12,975. It's painted a color called Cascade Grey, but looks more like a pastel purple in pictures. While it needs some repairs to the accessories, the Caddy runs and drives, which is all you really need.
Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango to lose color options temporarily
Wed, 19 Nov 2014In the market for a Jeep Grand Cherokee or Dodge Durango? Well, if you fancy a more expressive color for your new SUV, you'd better get your order in, or plan on waiting until well into 2015.
The SUVs will be limited to just four monochromatic shades - black, white, silver and gray - until at least February, thanks to an upgrade to the paint shop at the two vehicles' Jefferson North factory. For the Grand Cherokee, that means it's losing more than half its color palette while the Durango is dropping two-thirds of its color catalog.
The loss of colors is inconvenient, but the upgrade will have a slightly bigger effect on the overall supply of SUVs, as Chrysler will need to end its relentless build pace at the factory for a three-week shutdown starting on December 22. The good news for fans of the SUVs is that once the work is completed, we should see a gradual expansion of the color palettes for both the Durango and Grand Cherokee, beyond even what's offered now.
