*** 1973 Dodge Challenger ***

-- This car may be a rallye but I have no proof! --    This is a Project car and is very do-able with good parts but will take some talent!!

This originally was a 318 small block car with an automatic trans and air conditioning. It was lime green or maybe pale green... pictures are original paint.

It was a console car with bucket seats and tinted glass also power disc brakes and power steering.

The GOOD-

-The front clip is in great shape... the radiator support, inner fenders, cowl/firewall and frame rails are all solid as can be. Very minor damage near battery as usual.
-The rockers are nice on both sides and very solid
-The roof is in good shape as are the front posts and sail panels
-The front floor piece is saveable however the rear tow piece of the floor on both sides are gone...
-The rear trunk and dutchmans panel are in good shape
-The seat area and under it where the frame rails run the rear shocks go
-The rear taillight area is salvageable but needs a little work on the right corner
-The rear wheel wells are nice with minimal work needed on the part towards the rear of the car
-The door jambs are in good shape and solid

The BAD-

-The right Drivers side quarter is the most damaged part of the car needing a whole quarter to fix a long dent... its the only way. That fixed your half way there.
-The rear floor boards where passengers feet go needs replacing on both sides.
-The trunk needs work on the sides near the quarters and close to the wheel wells otherwise mostly solid
-The left passenger side frame rail is bent maybe 8 inches from the rear of the car in and needs replacing and comes with a whole frame rail if you wish to replace it all
This is a straight forward area and very easily accessible... its is the last 8' of the right frame rail where the spring is attached. Again very straight forward and i easy to get to or do the whole rail as i provide a rail to fix the issue correctly and good as new.
-Needs a trunk lid and the trunk gutters need some attention in the corners as usual

Fenders need work... drivers side is in poor shape but the passenger side is decent and very workable. The hood is rusty and needs attention but its an R/T hood.

There is no drivers side door!  The passenger side door is in nice condition just needs hardware. There is no hardware in/on the door.

The quarter windows are in the car regulators and original glass...this is the Only glass in the car. No windshield, no back window and no door windows.

NO grill or front end pieces, no interior at all except dash with vin.

Parts included not in or on the car... frame rail and rear valence

This car was bought out of South Carolina and when checked came back clear... it comes with a Bill of Sale only! A title should be obtainable but no guarantee.
Use for a project car and bond it and get a title or drag race it or maybe even road race or dirt track... who knows its a good start and is very do-able
All panels are original and the original dash pad is included with a vin...

Car is sold  AS-IS with no warranty or gurantees implied... this is strictly a classic project or vintage race car.   A 50% sale price deposit is due within 48 hours after auctions end. That said it is a good starting platform if your not scared of some work!

Any questions message or call 704-640-1819 any time 8-12 est. Thanks and have a good day!

Dodge Durango gets the Blacktop treatment

Sat, 09 Aug 2014

The Dodge Durango is getting a meaner, more aggressive look as it becomes the latest model from the brand to wear the Blacktop Appearance Package. The upgrades are strictly cosmetic, but they lend the SUV a more assertive demeanor that some buyers like.
Available on the SXT, Limited and R/T (shown above) models, all Blacktop Durangos get black 20-inch wheels, dual exhaust, bod- color fascia and gloss black trim. The grille surround, air dam, mirrors and headlight surrounds all get the inky treatment, as well. The improvements add $1,590 to the cost of the SXT. They come to $1,990 on the Limited but also include HID headlights with LED running lights and a leather interior. Finally, R/T buyers only need to pay $295 for the upgrades. The Blacktop Durango hits showrooms this October.
If you're already in the market for a Durango but want a dash more style with no added performance, the Blacktop might not be a bad way to go. It certainly gives the SUV a bit more edge than it has in stock form. Scroll down to read the full release.

Continental Automotive recalls 5 million airbag control units

Thu, Feb 4 2016

Takata isn't the only supplier having airbag problems. Rival manufacturer Continental Automotive Systems announced a recall of 5 million airbag control units fitted to vehicles from Honda, Fiat Chrysler Automotive, Mercedes-Benz, and even a certain Chrysler-based Volkswagen. This sweeping recall has actually been in progress for some time, although the exact scope is only now becoming evident. In October of 2015, Mercedes-Benz recalled 2008 and 2009 model year C- and GLK-Class vehicles because their Continental-made airbag control units could corrode. Such a condition could cause the airbags to deploy without cause or warning, or in the event of a crash, not deploy at all. You can read all about it in our post from last year. Now, Continental's recall is going wide. Alongside the already recalled C and GLK, you've already heard about the 2008 and 2009 Honda Accord airbag recall, which we reported on yesterday. Now, Fiat Chrysler is announcing the recall of the 2009 Dodge Journey, as well as the 2008 and 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan, Chrysler Town and Country, and their rebadged counterpart, the Volkswagen Routan. Yes, one manufacturer is recalling another manufacturer's vehicle. The models listed above only amount to about 580,000 vehicles out of 5 million bad airbag control units. And since Continental will notify manufacturers who will then issue their own recalls, it's extremely likely that more brands and vehicles will be ensnared. Stay tuned. The Dodge Challenger plays its trump card: all-wheel drive

Wed, Dec 7 2016

Perennially stuck in third place behind the Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro in sales and enthusiast comparisons, the Dodge Challenger is doing something unconventional for a muscle couple. It's adding all-wheel drive. It's a new feature for Detroit's pony cars – none of the three have ever had it – and it could be a game-changer. Called the Challenger GT, the Dodge launches this winter for a starting price of $34,490. The Challenger GT comes with the Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 rated at 305 horsepower and 268 pound-feet of torque. It teams with an eight-speed TorqueFlight automatic transmission and is estimated to get 18 miles per gallon in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. An FCA spokesperson said no manual transmission or V8 models will be offered on the all-wheel-drive Challenger. It will be on display in January at the Detroit auto show. View 8 Photos All-wheel drive is a widely expected addition for the Challenger. The coupe shares underpinnings with the four-door Charger, which offers an all-wheel drive variant and the cars have similar powertrain offerings (the AWD Charger is also V6 and automatic only). Naturally, the Challenger borrows the Charger's AWD system and during regular driving conditions, the front axle disengages and full torque goes to the back wheels, allowing the Challenger to function as a rear-wheel drive car. It automatically goes back to AWD when more traction is needed. Handling is also fortified with a vehicle dynamic control system. Conversely, the electronic stability control has three modes and can be switched off for drift-happy enthusiasts. The GT has features familiar to other Challenger and Dodge owners, including an 8.4-inch touchscreen radio, Performance Pages (accessible through the Super Trak Pack button), and paddle shifters. A Sport Mode changes shift points to improve acceleration. It all rolls on 19-inch wheels wrapped in all-season rubber. The exterior gets a hood bulge, LED head- and taillights, and a decklid spoiler. The Challenger GT also offers a $995-interior package different than RWD models, adding Nappa leather, Alcantara suede seats, a nine-speaker Alpine audio system, performance steering wheel, and more. All of that is just window dressing. It's all-wheel drive that could be a difference-maker for consumers. The Challenger won't likely be able to take down the Mustang, which will finish 2016 as the pony car sales king.
